| One of the cool things about freezing things is that effects will reflect physics that haven't been applied. What does that mean? Well, throw a grenade at a marine's feet and then put a needle in his neck... you'll see the pink glow of the needle extend through the air as he flies (before it blows). However, if he's frozen, he doesn't actually GO anywhere when you blow him up... but the needle doesn't know that. So that trail (or the plasma trail of a grenade) will get longer, pointing exactly opposite the direction he WOULD fly, if he could. You can use this physics glitch to create some interesting designs... like this one. (Originally submitted May 16, 2002.) |
