Somehow, it makes it better to have the enemy more advanced and much smarter, and then still have them lose. I tried to even things out with the Covenant army of super soldiers, fighting against the Human covert organization 'Osiris'. It's more fierce, but still a little even. In this series, the Covenant are more advanced, but not by much.

As far as we know, we may be the race with the fastest ability to adapt to new things. Of course, we don't know that. If other intelligent life exists, then it may not be as advanced, or else maybe it would have tried to contact us already. Who knows...

Anyway, I just LOVE stories when the less advanced side still ends up on top.

But, I haven't released whether or not will happen to the humans.

Oh okay. But I do beleive the humans are the quickest at adapting. In alot of Sci-Fi novels, the Aliens are always better advanced, but humans usually win through superior tactics. I mean humans constantly fight amongst themselves, which gives them an advantage. Experience.

Something else(directed at no one in particular) I wish people would make their comments grammatically correct. Seriously learn to type.

To Sarge:

In RoF: Ring of Fire, Halo is recreated by the Covenant (not the best idea but it was my first story).

To Spartan-13: Thanks.

To Anonymous: I chose the gas mask of a Grunt for some rather stupid humor. Yes, this new creature is a Hunter, an Elite, a Jackal, and even a GASMASK, all in one!! **GASP**

To gruntkiller: I know it wasn't the best, but I feel it is a complete piece of writing. Halo, as I said in another story, has been recreated and the Covenant are using it once more.

To Steele: Well, a Covenant Plasma SAM system did seem a little weird, but I didn't think it would make a difference. I didn't mention it was a plasma missile, but yes, it was. Yes, the Covenant fired the missile in fear that the humans would discover vital compounds and weapon systems. Of course, visual contact with any compound or facility is the only way to do it since long range cameras and satellites are useless, thanks to Angoron, the Covenant radar disruption system.

Plus, what fun would it be if the Covenant were just as strong as before? I mean, this whole story is based on our secret weapon, and if had that and the Covenant had nothing, the human race would most certainly dominate (even with a large number of casualties.) Think of Osiris XIII as the next Spartan generation.

The Covenant have had five years to rebuild themselves and learn new things. It's not a lot of time, but it has to mean t6hat they have something over on their side that helps them out.

It is very weird and very different, but I hate it when things are always the same. It's like the world is black and white.

This story was pretty good. It gets an 80. I have only one problem with it. Your fic stated that a 'missile' destroyed the special forces ship. And since only the Covenant occupied the Halo, I would assume the missile was launched by the Covenant. Right...?
Anyhow, I don't believe the Covenant would use a missile. More like a Plamsa Torepedo or something. I know your fic also said that the Covenant were more advanced than before. But taking a page out of the Human's Book. I don't think so. But it's your story....
