Beautiful, just beautiful. I have to agree with Hikaru but overall it was great. I look foreward to reading more fan fiction written by you.

Very similar to my "A Letter Home" thing. You should read it. You might like it. Overall nicely written, but you had a few time errors that I spotted.
1. The Jerico Campaign was lost in 2535, not 2548.
2. Not one Elite was not found until August 30, 2552 when Reach was hit.
Other than that you made a nice letter story.

Wow. Just wow. That was wonderful. Excellent use of foreshadowing and mood. I see this is your first submission, and I can tell you right now this is how you get noticed.
