Who cares if it happened after or before halo.It's a fine story on a couple of marines figthing in a outer colony.The human-convenant war has much to it besides halo.

Actually, this story does happen before Halo, on a little made up outer colony. So I didn't think Mendoza was dead yet. Who knows these days..............

Well, that idea came to me just after I had posted it, and that's the only way it would make sense, so it must take place before Halo...

Um...I don't mean to burst your bubble, but Master Chief, Cortana, and Johnson were the only ones who made it off Halo alive. Mendoza was killed. It even says so in the books.
But otherwise, this doesn't seem like a bad start. Keep it up.
