Suicide Mission,part 1

"Alright marines,we're goin' in to kick some alien a--." Just then,the pelican dropship they were in started shaking and exploded...with the Master Chief,Sargent A.J. Johnson,and the whole gamma squad on board.A few hours later,after finding only Sargent Johnson,Linda (a spartan) and 2 other marines alive,the Master Chief started looking for grenades and weapons,so far he only found one sniper rifle,two SMG's,one battle rifle, three badly damaged covenant carbines they taken from fallen elites before the mission,and fragment grenades.
Sargent Johnson took a covenant carbine and two fragment grenades and said "Alright,we need reinforcements before we can even get near that covenant flagship that's supplying those covenant freaks with new troops and ammo,but more importantly,it has one of those covenant prophets onboard,we need to capture it before they unleash the flood." "Team Beta,this is the Master Chief,come in Team Beta." said the Master Cheif over the COM, "Hey Chief,this is Corpral Perez,good to hear ya,we're under heavy fire and are out of ammo,we can't hold out much longer,we're running out of grenades to throw at em'."
Just then,Linda fired her sniper rifle,killing one elite wielding a energy sword, "They know we're here!" shouted Cortana. "Alright men,lock,load,and move out,double time!" Barked Sargent Johnson at the marines,meanwhile at the covenant outpost not far from the Chief's position,a squad of Brutes and Commander Elites were already on they're way to destroy the two spartans and they're human companions.
"Look!Two warthogs,they're damaged but they should be enough to get us to Team Alpha's base camp." said Cortana. "Alright,what are we waiting for?Let's go!"Said a red-headed marine as he ran to operate the rocket launcher turrent on the back of the second warthog. "Look out! It's an ambush!" yelled Linda as she fired at the brute and the elite hiding behind the warthogs,"Agggggghhhhhh!" screamed the marine as he was thrown into the air by the brute,only to land painfully onto the ground and be stomped on by the massive killing machine."ROOOARARROROR!" bellowed the brute as he cut the other marine in two with his rusty blade on his main weapon. "Arrgghhrhrgh!" yelled the elite as he was blown apart by a grenade Sargent Johnson threw. "Eat this you alien freak show!" yelled the Sargent as he fired his covenant carbine directly into the brute's chest,seizing the opprotunity to attack,the master chief fired a 3-round burst into the brute's head,instantly splatering it's brain all over the dirt.Argh,he was a good kid"said the Sargent,morning the loss of one of the marines. "Come on,we need to keep moving,they'll be more...there's always more." said the Master Chief.
Meanwhile back at team Beta's position,the whole squad has been slaughtered and the grunts scouting the area for more human survivers,while one special operations elite waits nervously for the great prophet of truth to arrive. "If the prophet of truth is harmed or killed,you will be dishonored and killed violently." Those words still buzzed through his head like a swarm of angery hornets,the elite shuddered,he couldn't let the prophet be harmed or he wouldn't be able to regret it.But while he was nervously thinking of what could happen if he failed,two veteran jackels droped dead,they were killed by Admiral Smith,an ODST with sniping skills that amazingly were just below the skill of Linda.The Admiral and his companion,Corpral Wallace,were spying on the covenant landing zone,they killed the jackels when they came uncomfortably close to their position,but the jackels were the least of their problems right now,right now their biggest threat was one that struck fear in even the battle hardened Master Chief's heart,this enemy was so powerful that it could wipe out the whole galaxy,this enemy was.......the flood.But for now,the Chief had more things to worry about,like how he would get Linda and the Sargent out of this mess alive,in the back of his mind though,he knew that there was no way team Beta was alive,even though team Beta was made of 10 ODSTs,3 spartans,4 warthogs,and one scorpion tank.The Master Chief pressed himself onward,there was no point in thinking about the past,instead he had to make sure the prophet of truth didn't make it onboard that covenant phantom,if it did,the flood would be released again and he would need to fight them,he shuddered,those attrocities had killed nearly everything on Halo.
But that was why they were on this mission,to stop that from happening again. "There it is,Alpha Base,this is were we're staying for the--." Sargent Johnson didn't finish his sentance,because he was in shock at the sight of flames and dead bodies.The Master Chief couldn't believe it,Alpha Base had 20 machine gun turrents,6 warthogs,3 pelican dropships,and 4 scorpion tanks,but as much as he didn't want it to be,it was.
Alpha Base was destroyed.
