Black's rifle fired and punctured the armor of an oncoming Hunter, the Hunter fell and clutched its stomach but continued toward Black, who fired again, ending the life of the stubborn behemoth. However, the Hunter's partner charged his particle cannon and fired, Black moved out of the way, vaporizing a portion of the ramp leading to the bridge. Black moved behind a pillar to find Blue 2 readying his AR. Black fired at the Hunter, felling it with one shot to the head. Unfortunatley, the Hunter's particle cannon must have been charged and it fired once it hit the ground. The shot crackled through the air and hit the pillar, burning through the "impervious" metal, causing the pillar to fall. Black, moved out of the way, but Blue 2 did not move quick enough; the pillar crushed Blue 2, mushing him to a bloody stump, even with his Spartan armor on; Black looked over 2's weapons, took his AR and Colin mines and proceeded to Blue 3; Black ran over to the door where the Hunters appeared and had Blue 3 follow him.

"Nightshade, I am going to leave you in the bridge controls to overlook the security of the ship. If anything Covenant is in range of the Plasma guns, fire." Ordered Black.

"Yes, sir." replied the A.I.

Black and Blue 3 moved on, they were going to rid the ship of any remaining Covenant that had escaped the Plasma cannons. Black picked up some thermal energy on his scanners and fired with the recovered AR. 7 AP rounds sped through the air and impacted onto the muscular flesh of a Camoflauged Elite. It roared in pain and fired its plasma at the two attackers. It was too late however, for Blue 3's Battle Rifle had already fired a shot and it struck the Elite in the head, felling it instantly. Blue 3 swapped plasma rifles with the corpse. Black and Blue 3 continued scouring the ship. They encountered nothing throughout the crusade save for the mutilated and charred bodies of those that were caught in the Plasam Cannon fire.

"Let's proceed back to the bridge, we'll have to set up a comm link with the Capitan." said Black to Blue 3.

The couple moved cautiously to the bridge, stopping at the hermetically sealed doors.

"Open the bridge doors please Nightshade." Ordered Black.

No response.

"Open the bridge doors NIGHTSHADE!" This time Black was screaming.

"I'm afraid I can't let you in Black 9, you are jepordizing the mission, I cannot open the bridge doors." replied the ever cool Nightshade A.I.

"What the HELL are you doing Nightshade!" demanded Black.

No response.

"Fine, you have sealed your fate you piece of Shit!"

Black took the C-14 satchel and attached it to the doors. Blue 3 and him ran to the end of the corridor. Black triggered the detonator.

"What are you doing Black?" asked the A.I.

Black and Blue moved in. As they approached 7 Plasma cannons pivoted toward them.

"What are you doing Black? You know you are in direct violation of protocol 1827 Alpha." cooly informed Nightshade.

"I am going to take this ship back Nightshade, even if that means destroying you."

"So be it mortal." Replied the A.I.

With that the Plasma Cannons fired, there was nowhere for Blue 3 or Black 9 to run, the Plasma cannons formed a circle around the bridge... That was it...

"Blue 3 move with me as fast as you can to the bridge, if Nightshade is as smart as I think he is he will stop the fire unless he wants to die." ordered Black.

The two ran toward the bridge narrowly dogding the bolts of plasma streaking toward them. Blue 3 was struck in the arm, fell and was pelted by plasma fire, his shields remained strong.

"Cease idmediatly Nightshade unless you are willing to risk your life for the life of one of my men; if you even play the game of Risk." bellowed Black as he stood before the consoles on the bridge, in his hand was a plasma grenade.

The plasma fire ceased and 3 ran toward the bridge. Nightshade knew those cannons were too damn inaccurate to shoot the two humans on the bridge without striking any of the consoles. Black retrieved Nightshade and placed him in one of the safe data notches in his armor, originally designed for carrying Covenant data disks; the safe data notch was basically just a slot that a data disk (or crazy A.I.) could be inserted into without interferring with Black. Not even Nightshade's advanced code-cracking skills could get him out of this one. Black shot out all the consoles on the bridge.

"Damn!" he thought. "If only Nightshade didn't auto-configure those guns, we could have a Covenant ship to reasearch and go to war with..."

Black moved over to the pillar that collapsed on Blue 2. Black bent down, stuck his hand in the mush of blood and armor, and pulled out Blue 2's dog-tags. Black and Blue 3 moved onto into the crippled part of the hull that the team entered in. Black triggered a detonator, two Colin anti-tank mines exploded in the room with the strange rock, shattering it. The couple arrived at the hull breach, the green liquid wasn't there, neither was Blue 1's body.

"What the hell?" Blue 3 thought aloud.

A shadow moved in the darkness, a plasma sword ready...

Author's Note- I am getting disgruntled at the series with Black as it is not as descriptive as I am trying to make it. So, I will start on a new series that is the other side of this story. (Battlefield Toys, which would be focused around Jonathan Hootman and his designs and the invasion of a few planets etc, more in my head now than I can explain.) After that small (I hope) series I will resume with the Return of Death series, hopefully with better literary skills to give more sense of being at the fight...
