D+ 26:82:02 (Private Hillabill Winski Mission Clock)/
Location: Delta Halo / Outskirts of Library Containment Shield

Private Winski sat in the pelican's cargo bay beside his squad, trying to ignore the horrible colonial flip music his sergeant put through the intercom. Everyone else tried to sleep through it, but twitched every time the jam-bam beat hit their ear drums, hard. They all knew to keep their mouths' shut rather than complain to Sarge.
The team had been through hell back at the island, helping out the Chief take out a prophet. Four casualties were the result of giving the Spartan time to take out the bastards, and that made Winski angry. The Spartans always took all the credit and left the 105th drop jet platoon for trash over and over again. One day, they will come back and put the Spartans out of existence forever. It was the helljumpers' time to shine, soon…
But right now, they were all tired and exhausted. Winski and his team wanted to rest, but they have a long journey ahead, and they weren't about to give up on Sergeant Johnson.
"Wake up marines!" Johnson yelled. "What the hell are you doing sleeping on the job!?! You look a lot like grunts fresh outta the can right now and I would love to put a bullet in each and every one of your asses if you don't pull yourselves together! Am I clear marines?"
"Sir, yes sir!" the squad yelled in unison, a little fatigue in their voices.
      "Damn right," Johnson growled.

The pelicans' engines hummed softer as they finally made it above solid ground. Finally, Winski whispered. His feet were merely asleep now that they've been flying for nearly an hour. They were going to land soon…
Suddenly, the pilots' voice came on the intercom, "We have contacts up ahead, sarge, unknown classifications. Waiting for orders."
Johnson made his way to the cockpit to take a look. Winski tried to peek through the airlock, but was blocked by Johnson's body. "What is it sarge?" He asked.
"Goddamn! They're firing at us! Take 'em down boys!" Johnson yelled, ignoring Winski's question.
The ship started to accelerate and he felt the drop ships' chin-gun unload 70mm rounds. In a split second, Johnson cursed and ran back toward the troop bay, strapping himself to a seat. "Brace your selves!" he ordered. With a few hesitations, the squad held on tightly. The pelican started to shake violently as multiple explosions harassed the drop ships' hull.
"Prepare for emergency landing! We're going down! Winski heard the pilot panic.
The pelican started losing control and did a wing-over nose dive into the deep ravine below. The space around him spun madly. He started losing consciousness, and then everything went black.
      "Wake up private!"
Where was he? What was he doing here? Hillabill suddenly saw a cheese glazed bucket of nachos on front of him. Was he dreaming? If it is, might as well enjoy it. Winski reached for the nachos.
"Don't make me do this marine!"
He heard a voice screaming at him, it was familiar, but he didn't care. The nachos were almost in his grasp. Just a little more… "Ahh!" Private Winski woke up, finding himself surrounded by him team mates.
"Have a nice nap, boy?" Sergeant Johnson asked.
"Yea sarge, why did you have to wake me up from my beauty sleep!?!?" Winski replied. His team chuckled.
"You'll sleep when your dead son," Johnson growled and pulled Winski to his feet. "Did everyone make it sarge?" he asked. Everyone shook their heads. Winski looked around and saw the crashed pelican a few meters away from them. He saw the pilots hanging from the broken cockpit windows, blood pouring down the jagged glass. He shook his head in sorrow. Two more casualties…
"So where are we sarge?" a marine asked.
"I'm as clueless as you Lansking, so shut your mouth and let me figure things out, boy, Johnson yelled.

They were in the dark forest, alone, and lost. The tall trees blocked the night sky from view and made the place even darker. Winski twitched for a second; he never favored dark missions before, and he won't now.
"I got a bad feeling about this sarge," he whispered.
"I said quiet!" Johnson retaliated. "Okay, here's what we'll do. The rendezvous point is a few kilometers up-north. There's a structure ahead containing the entrance to the so-called 'Library'. The Commander's squad should be there by now. If we keep going, we should link up with them soon. Any questions? No? Good, alright helljumpers lets move out!"
      "Yes sir!" the ODST's replied.
Together, they all made their way deeper into the forest. Winski wondered why it was called the library. What did a library on an alien construct contain? He thought. Sergeant Johnson and his squad were soon going to find out…

Lurking in the trees above the squad of helljumpers, was something hungry for food, for flesh and blood. The dark figures climbed from tree to tree following the marines. They waited for the right opportunity to strike and knew it wouldn't be long before the have their chance.
An ominous called out to them out of nowhere, "The grave will rise up once again now that they have come. Soon, silence will be broken. But now, feast on them my sons and daughters…"
