The night was pitch black when a flashing light could be seen then it was joined by more and more. What the hell is happening asked Scott and why are we just sitting here? Think of this as the center of a circle, the flashes you see are automated turrets 10 miles away at the edge of the circle. This entire circle is filled with turrets, mines, and any other deterrent you could think of.
What the hell is all that protection for questioned Scott? Why is it not out protecting the generators for the Super Macs?
Those generators are fake the power comes from inside this planet in fact we made this planet every thing is just a cover up.

This is the only entry point to the interior of the planet. Inside here are top secret projects and factories. You and your men just volunteered for a top secret mission come in side and Ill brief you. Scott and some nameless man began to walk down corridor. All the doors had odd symbols that Scott had never seen before and at the end of every corridor was a security check point with a mounted machine gun manned by hatchet faced marines. A here we are said the man as he pushed open a door lead to some sort of bay where new tech designs were made. Let me show you around, this is a battle rifle said the man as he hefted a gun off a rack. It trades rate of fire for power, accuracy and distance your unit will be refit with these. This is a brand new pelican it carries a shield and the ability to cloak, both covenant tech twisted for us. Here we have a warthog armed with SRLm h9 seeker missiles these missiles can switch from heat seeking, to motion tracking, to manual fight. This is the inferno rocket it ignites on a proximity fuse, it showers napalm in a 12 foot radius. And finally that ship over there he pointed to an extremely large Cameron class cruiser youve heard of the pillar of autumn right? Well this is basically a much larger remake with a shield we call it the Avatar of Hope.
What kind of mission is this where are we going and do I get to see my family again if I live?
Well after the siege here is lifted you and your men will be the opening assault on a covenant planet, we will send along the 131st armored cavalry and the aces fighter wing for support. Two days later the Avatar left the system of thought to be planet of Coventry. It arrived in system after a day of slipstream travel and launched its drop ships laden with men and equipment in secret. A drop ship shook when it hit a covenant anti-aircraft gun on its way inbound. Our covers blown forget active cammo, suddenly hundreds of drop ships appeared after shutting off their cammo. The ships quickly landed, go, go, go some shouted.
Pfc Jones was fried by plasma as he stepped off the drop ship, first blood. The marines were tasked with opening up a place for the rest of the brigade to land. Brigadier general Brigs sighted a covenant bunker through his binoculars and called for an air attack. The drop ship that took him in exploded before it had a chance to get away poor aero jocks he thought but he had no time to worry. Brigs saw a grunt exposed it dropped like a rock. He finished the rest his clip on an elite and move out of the staging area to secure a perimeter. Some marines were held in place by jackals peeking a round a corner, Brigs lobed a grenade. The twisted remains filled the alley way after a satisfying explosion. Marines were landing every where and quickly moved to their preassigned objectives with little or no directions from Brigs. Pasted another the marine at a 50. cal mobile machine gun. Thats when a covenant armory near by exploded sending shrapnel wheeling through the air a piece struck Brigs knocking him unconscious. Shit shouted a marine friendies moving out we need a medic over here. That marine named Lance unloaded a clip of ammo in to an elite its head burst like a melon showering body parts every where. Get him out of here!
