Gather 'round to hear the ride
Of Master Chief in his green hide.
He just finished off some fusion reactors
Creating a scenario with nuclear factors
Exploding, so a you could guess
He had to leave before Halo was a mess.
They were being picked up by Echo419
And then what would happen would remain to be seen.
Cortana alerted the Master Chief
Quickly gave him the whole beef
And then displayed the time they had
Before Halo finally went bad.
"6 minutes, and a mile to go?!. "s***",
But he did it anyway, and with teeth grit,
Took a trusty Warthog and took it through
The door, knowing what to do.
Neither Grunt nor Jackal, Elite nor Flood
Could've stop him - they were crushed to mud.
A crash into a pillar could've mean defeat -
But none of these would have him beat.
Narrow passages and a three-story drop
Could not stop this car as it raced like a cop.
At last they went back outdoors
To stop on the car's all fours.
Echo419 finally appeared,
But it was a trap - and its head was reared.
Two Banshees shot it out of the blue
And the Spartan and Cortana thought of what to do.
"Wait," said Cortana, "A Longsword's at bay
It's just about another mile away."
So with just three minutes left, they did it again
Before they came to a nuclear end.
Stunt ramps and drives on the side of the ship
Would mean too much - they had to admit.
But they made it - just 100 meters down
When the car hit a wall! And with a frown
The Chief darted through, shooting all his foes
With 20 seconds left, he said, "Here it goes!"
He got into the ship, stranding Flood at the door
And it rocketed away, off the floor.
Then the ship slowly erupted, and a silent boom
Was shown off the window of the Chief's ship room.
Halo was torn to bits, forever destroyed.
And not any life was left in the void.
The Chief was tired and the engine was sore,
But Halo was gone - and its threat no more.
