The Hacker's Paradise
Chapter 1
The UNSC base on the planet Reach
Military Time: 2200
Date: unknown
NOTE: The Covenant is known prior to the destruction of Reach, and I have created my own characters and a ship in this story.
"Sir, accessing covenant battle net… receiving unknown information on whereabouts of the Arbiter." Replied Cortana in a simulated voice.
"Well it's about time them retard covies cover up their private information" Keyes responded. He was tired of the Covenant constantly trying to hack into their Spec Ops files, there was something or someone trying to deliberately hack into there.
Keyes assumed that it was the Arbiter, the Covenant Spec Ops Spy/ Assassin. "Checking last access code… sir… you should come see this!" said Cortana. "Well, Well, look at what we have here, it's just a little slybot, why he's no bigger than a hole of a donut! "Yes, sir but we need to capture the slybot without destroying it and find out who it's working for! "Base Command, I want the Master Chief out of cryosleep NOW! Yelled Keyes. "Yes Sir!"
John who was now called the Master Chief, woke up slowly from cryosleep. Man that feels good! I cant wait to go kick ET's butt! He thought. "Sir the captain needs you urgently, I mean now!" The marine who was always chicken, announced.
John raced down the chamber, through the hallway and into the main briefing room. "I hope you had some sweet dreams Chief, cause your gonna want them!" Said the Captain angrily. "Okay chief here's the story, we have had some trouble with hacker(s) the past few days and we have just discovered that a slybot, was in the base's main computer core, hacking his little behind off. So what we're going to do is capture this little moron, and find out what we can, and that's where you come in chief. We need you to track down the "something" that the slybot is working for, and destroy it before it finds out anymore about us or… Earth. We can assume that it is the covenant's Arbiter, but you can never be to sure," ended Cortana.
They caught the slybot within a couple hours and remove all of it's hardware for inspection, and they found just what they were looking for: A covenant Arbiter was behind the plot, it's name was Anagemee. This Arbiter was located somewhere on the Covenent cruiser Truth and Reconciliation, where all covenant operations took place.
The only problem was getting inside and getting through without getting killed. So the captain assigned a Spec Ops Task Force of 20 men to go with the Master Chief.
Next Day…
That Morning they all got prepared to go to battle. The Master Chief chose out of his weapons locker an M90 Shotgun, and his trusty busty battle rifle. When they all got geared up they set off to the launch pad to wait for their Tactical Boarding Ship or TBS.
"The Covenant Cruiser is on the other side of Reach, am I correct?" asked Keyes. "Yes they are on the other side where most of our scanners can not detect them without giving notice, of course only an AI notices!" she said. "Well I guess were going to have to give it shot."he said "Base Command!, bring up the Master Chief's com online for us." "Yes sir, Master Chief online!"he said. "Sir?" the Master Chief inquired. "Yes Chief we want you to go in with all force and power as you can possibly muster, oh and Chief?," "yes," "be careful out there we don't want many marines killed" Keyes said. "Understood sir."
The Marines and the Master Chief left on what they thought was one of the most dangerous missions of all, except for the MC. Their TBS took off and they were on their way to the dark side of Reach, not knowing what may happen next.
John thought as he sat in the TBS, as to how they could use a special tactic to penetrate Covenant defenses. "Pilot, put cloaking device online." The MC commanded. "Yes sir, perimeter and cloaking devices online!" This, he thought, may give them some time to approach the massive cruiser without being detected.
They arrived at the cruiser not long after, and they prepared to meet their doom. Their ship attached itself to the bottom of the ship where the gravity lift hatch was located, and the TBS computers started hacking into the Covenant security to open the hatch. The hatch slowly opened and major Johnson poked his head through the hatch and pulled his S2 AM Sniper Rifle out and four shots rang out with deadly accuracy, four Elites with energy swords fell dead.
The marines then all single filed out of the TBS and into the Belly of a monster. Some marines opened fired and several grunts fell, a couple of jackals started charging up their pistols and fired, one marine was hit but the others managed to survive… to be continued…
