The Flood Assault - Part 1

Hey...it's me again. Anyway, here's the first part of my story...
Out in the snowy fields, a group of 2-3 marines and a single spartanwere sitting talking about their lives back on Earth and some stories. Spartan 041 had been talking about his childhood memories and they heard a crash not too far. They ran to the sight of the noise and they found multiple Covenant bodies, including an elite that had his insides scrambled. Pvt. Jones found the bloody elite and looked at it in disgust and told the rest to look at it.
"What do you think happened?" Asked Pvt. Jones.
"I have no clue. I'm guessing something got on the ship and attacked them and there may have been friendly fire." Said Cpt. Smith.
"Maybe some kind of weird unknown species did it..." Said Pvt. Harrison.
"Could have. We may never know..." Said Cpt. Smith.
They looked to find any weapons or supplies and found a huge blob-like thing.
"Ew! What the heck is THAT?" Asked Pvt. Harrison as he held his mouth.
"Holy shit!" Said Cpt. Smith, who punched it and found a mutated body. It looked like it was once a human. It's chest was torn open. It's head was pushed to the side.
"HOLY F...! We may have maken a huge scientific discovery!" Said Pvt. Jones.
They took the body back to their base and put it inside the destroyed pelican. They took their functioning radio and contacted the Amber Clad crew.
"Hello? Anybody there?" Said Cpt. Smith.
"Ahh!!! Get it off me! Suppress fire! HELLLPPP!!!!" Marine shoots at enemies.
"Hello? What's going on?" Asked Smith.
"Got rid of em. These things. They were NOT Covenant. We managed to survive. Right guys? Hello...where is everybody? (The marine sees weird things that attack him brutally).
Weird shrieks spread throughout the marine's area.
"WHAT IS THAT?" Asked Smith.
"AHH!!! NOOOO..." Marine shoots desperately as he dies and the radio's noises are left to shrieks and weird biting noises.
"HELLO?" Cpt. Smith asks.
"I have a bad feeling about what's going on..." Said Jones in fear.
Then a bunch of little squid-like creatures jump off a ledge and scurry to the curious marines.
"Men...take out your guns! NOW!" Said Cpt. Smith as he took out his SMG.
They shot their assault rifle bullets and popped the creatures within seconds, but left one pass and it reaches the pelican. Then a figure gets up, and starts running at them.
"HOLY SHIT! WHAT IS THAT?" Says Harrison.
"FIRE!" Says Smith.
The figure immediately jumps towards Harrison and smacks him across the chest with it's tenticles.
"AHH....!" Screams Harrison in pain.
Spartan 041 takes out his M90 shotgun and blows the head and arms off the creature, along with part of it's chest.
"You okay Harrison?" Asked the Spartan.
"Yeah. That REALLY hurt though. What was that?" Asked Harrison as he slowly got up.
"Let's get out of here before more of those things come. There's just enough banshees for us to fly out of the area near that tunnel. Let's go get them." Says Smith.
They run to the banshees and fly away and eventually land on a weird platform and find a few marines.
Along with the marines was the Sarge and Commander Keyes, who were talking to the marines.
As they were landing, the marines cocked their guns and slowly walked towards the banshees. They noticed they were humans and lowered their guns.
"What's going on?" Said Cpt. Smith.
"Son, I have no clue what's been going on..." Said Johnson.
"We saw these things...and a body that was mutated..." Said Smith.
"Those were flood. They had taken my father..." Said Miranda Keyes.
"Flood?" Asked the marines in mystery.
"Yeah FLOOD. They're a species that feeds on humans and Covenant. They use us as their own vessels. Turn us into them." Said Johnson.
"They heard a shriek and turned to the direction of the weird walls and pillars and got ready as the flood came closer...
They saw a grunt, who had been running for his life with infection forms all over him and eventually fell in front of the marines.
There was a moderate threat they would have to face. They immediately started shooting. One Flood had a shotgun and jumped in front of Jones and blew him a couple of feet away and he hit a pillar. Jones got up and the flood jumped up to finish him off and then Miranda Keyes took her SMGs and tore up the flood and left nothing but flesh and a few bones.
Smith backed up and threw a plasma grenade on one flood, who had backed up to it's army and the explosion wiped them all out, leaving a shitload of flesh and blood.
"This is only the beginning..." Said Johnson.
