Second Age After the Fall of the Forunner / Parasitic Containment Facility, Installation 04, Nicknamed: "Halo" / Building ID: 557D-T / Monitor ID: 343-Guilty Spark

Stlic (ID: IF-55, 521) and his brethren had been waiting for this day for 20,453 'human years.' The others had come to set them free at last. He could smell their blood as they approached the building that he had called home for 10,000 cycles. He flexed his sensory probes and went to find his friend Fnit. Soon they would feast and rule all...

Captain Jacob Keyes' Dc-17 'Pelican' Dropship descended on the musty, cold swamp, its thrusters stirring the brown, putrid water into endless ripples. His squad was going to 'liberate' the Covenant of a weapons cache they had learned about from an Elite they had tortured. They were going to link up with Sergeant Johnson inside the facility and carry as many weapons as they could back to the LZ. This was going to be a simple mission. Keyes thought to himself, he couldn't have been more wrong...

"Everybody out! I'll be back in 0300!" Announced Lieutenant Filmore, the pilot of their Dropship. The Marines dropped a meter to the ground in pairs, bringing their MA5Bs up as they hit the foul water.

"Uhh! Damn Cap., This water smells like shit!" Yelled Private Conners as he hit the swamp.

"Watch your mouth son! It smells better than your last date!" Replied Sergeant Stacker.

"Least I had a last date Sarge!" Conners yelled back.

"But Conners, you forgot something, the Covies don't count as dates!" Quirked Lance Corporal Greg Nothum, who was Conners' friend. Conners kicked the murky water at Greg. "Alright that's it, you're goin' down!" Greg pulled up a handful of slime, and cocked it back ready to throw.

"Ladies, ladies, ladies, not in front of the Captain." Stacker said with a crooked smile.

"That's enough out of you too." Keyes pointed at Sarge.

"My apologies Cap." Stacker took an over exaggerated bow.

Moral was at a high, things couldn't have been better.

"He's the only quiet one here." Greg pointed to his best friend Jarrod Mosher.

Mosher smirked; he never said much of anything. But he was known for his skill with the M-90 Shotgun. Little did he and Greg know, it would be the only thing keeping them alive soon...

11 Hours Ago, September 26, 2552 (Hewman Calander) / Second Age After the Fall of the Forunner / Parasitic Containment Facility, Installation 04, Nicknamed: "Halo" / Building ID: 557D-T

Hato 'Fluramee crouched and rolled around the next corner, his Plasma Rifle at the ready. Hato was part of an exploration team sent in to map out the holy artifact of Halo. He was a Blue Elite with a wild imagination. They will promote me when I find a Forunner still alive, Ha! Yes that's it I, will single handedly find the last of the surviving ancients! They will make me a Purple Elite and I will rule even the Prophets! 'Fluramee thought as he pressed his mandibles against some kind of glass containment tube. He peered into the dark corners and saw nothing.

Stlic had to choose just the right moment... The Alien warrior pressed its face against the glass. Neither Stlic nor any of the other Infection Forms could have broken through the glass, but the warrior didn't know that, which was what they were counting on. Stlic and Friz lunged at the alien's head at the same time. The alien almost fell over in shock. It howled and leveled its Plasma Rifle...

Hato 'Fluramee saw two squid like pods jump at him from the darkness, with two sharp dagger-like claws and a hundred different tentacles. He staggered backwards and yelled in fear. He pointed his rifle and unleashed a stream of superheated gas bolts at the horrible abominations. The glass melted and hundreds more dropped from the ceiling and came out from shadows. Now thousands were streaming out towards him. He tried to fire, he tried to scream, but nothing came out. He was engulfed by the wave of the horrible creatures.

"Did you hear something?" Said Halpap in a squeaky voice. Halpap was the great Jika 'Lotumee's assistant, he was a black grunt.

"Hush now, I have heard it to, and I thought it was Hato." Said Jika. His shiny golden armor radiated green as he flicked on his plasma blade. "Come now."

Halpap let out a disheartened squeak as he followed Jika deeper into the structure. It was some comfort to know that he was surrounded by four red Elites and two Blues, minus Hato. He wished he wasn't the only grunt on the expedition. He wished he had someone to talk to; however he was glad that there were no Jackals on this horrid trip, which would make it much worse for him.

"Did you hear that O-Great One?" Asked Chima 'Glugomee, the veteran of the lower Elites. "It sounded like the skittering of many rodents."

"Why yes I did, and its coming from where Hato wandered off to. Let us go see for our selves what misfortune he has gotten himself into."

Just than thousands of Infection Forms rounded the corner and paused before charging up at them...
