Honey I Shrunk The Kids Into Halo!!! Part 1

Part 1 HONEY!!! I Shrunk the Kids Into Halo!!!
Vic Nathans sat with his best two buddies Pat and Zack in his room on the most comfortable couch one could believe of. The 3, with glazed over eyes, and incredibly full stomachs from all the popcorn, candy, and pizza one could stuff into their belly. A humongous wide screen TV sat in front of the 3. The one game that just kept on being popular was on it right now. Halo. The 3 had been playing the game every day after school since the game had come out. Unless, of course, they had homework or some other place they had to be. Halo was like a part of these kids lives now. Vic who was 14 years of age had bought the game the day it had come out. Why, because every magazine that featured games was talking about it. Apart from the gamecube magazines. =( The 3 were major pros and had been in a tournament about a month ago where all the best gamers from around the world came to play the game until there were eliminated. Vic's friend Pat had won the tournament. The reward had been the TV they were playing in front of now, and a special reserved copy of Halo 2 which was coming out in just a few weeks. Vic was the major sniper of the 3 and always won in sniper games. Pat was like the king of Halo. He was excellent with the Shotgun and nobody had pistol skills like him. If one of the best players faced off against him. It would go like this. Bam, Bam, SPLAT! The splat is the players body falling to the ground where it would wait to be dissolved by the games programming. The Bam Bam is Pat shooting you in the head with a pistol. Zack was a legend when it came to capturing the enemy's flag. He always knew a plan to capture it and he could run back to the base with the flag on foot and score almost every time. How, you ask? Simple. He drops the flag and shoots the crap out of you. His best technique is throwing a grenade and then shooting you with the assault rifle. He also likes grabbing the camouflage. Vic watched his friends play campaign on the Maw level. Which was everybody's favorite level.
"Hey, you guys want some more popcorn," he called out from his seat behind them.
"Not really man, but thanks for asking. "I'm stuffed," moaned Zack. Zack could eat you out of house and home in one hour if you let him chow down.
"Ya, ok, whatever." Vic sighed. He really wanted to get outside for a change. He hadn't told his friends, but he was getting dreadly bored of Halo. Today was not a good day to ask though. It was thundering and lightning outside like crazy. Pat and Zack were staying at Vic's house for the week because there parents had to go to some "big" meeting in New York. (Incase you wondering, Pat and Zack are brothers.)
BOOOOOOOOOM!!! Another bang roared into the house like wild fire. The thunder almost seemed to be in the house.
"Hey Pat, ask your mom what time were going to that movie," asked Zack.
"Zack I told you like a hour ago that they went shopping at the new mall up the street moron."
"Well sooorrryyyy, I was busy you know.
Vic sighed. Zack was a great friend an all, but his memory and attention span was like that of a cat. BOOOOOOOOOM!!!! Another loud bang of thunder that sounded even closer went off.
"Hey guys, maybe we should go down to the basement." "It's kinda getting rough outside."
"No dude." "Don't be a wimp, it's just a little bit of thunder," retorted Pat.
A little bit is an under exaggeration thought Vic. Vic decided to go into the kitchen and grab a can of soda. He wasn't even half way to the refrigerator when their was another boom of thunder and a yell that sounded like Pat's. Vic rushed into the living room as fast as his feet would carry him. A small, green portal, seemed to be sticking out of the xbox.
"What in the damn hell is that thing Vic," shouted Pat from a corner of the room. Vic stared around and found Zack hiding behind the nice couch.
Vic gulped. "I don't know, but I'm not goin anywhere near it." As if the portal had heard this last comment, it started to get bigger, and bigger. Soon half the room was engulfed in bright green waves of whatever the portal was.
"Do you think there's a way of gettting rid of it," shouted Pat over the loud humming of the portal.
"I have no idea," Vic shouted back.
"I want my MOMMY," cried Zack. The portal seemed to grow again. Now three quarters of the room were engulfed in the portal.
"We gotta get out of here right now," yelled Vic rushing over to Zack and grabbing his fat, pudgy hand. He actually had no idea why he grabbed his hand. He just did. At that moment the portal grew again.
"Oh my god," Vic shouted. "The portals covered are one way exit out of here." He was right. The portal had grown right over the doorway to the stairs.
"Were doooooomeed," muttered Pat. Vic thought the situation through.
"I don't know about you guys, but I got a feeling we should go into that green portal."
"Are you kidding me!" yelled Zack. "That portal probably will kill us, I just know it."
"THEIR'S ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT!" yelled Vic. Vic grabbed Zack's hand and Zack grabbed Pat's hand.
"TALLY HOE," yelled Vic as him and his 2 friends plunged into the green portal.
