Hell Jumpers Chapter 1: CITY BOMB
Date: 24 November 2005, 4:02 am

" Ok men I don't want no hissy fits or bitching as long as I'm in command!" The Lt barked to us.
" Now lock and load. Oh and there's no use praying with that type of attitude!" The Lt saw a Hell Jumper in the corner seat of the Pelican with his hands clasped together, whole body shaking and prayers coming out of his mouth. The Lt snorted then licked his lips.
" K men lock and load," he yelled as the Pelican landed on street. The sky was colored with tans, reds, yellows and oranges. I looked to my left to only see a Marine get shot in the face by a Plasma Rifle.
" Get to cover up on that platform!" Said the Lt. I froze for a second to see the Marines distorted face with blood covering the ground under him. I took the Marines ammo and slipped it into my ammo belt. I ran for the platform. I looked up and saw the Pelican fly away.
Sweat was trickling down my face inside my helmet. The suns rays reflected off my helmet. The sun blinded me for a second or two. Sadly I couldn't lift my helmet off now to wipe my face. I finally made it to the platform. I saw the Master Chief and stared in aw. This guy was like a giant! I thought to myself. The suns beams reflected off his armor. I quickly turned my attention to alien bastards who were moving around the corridors of the apartment complex. I quickly swerved my MGS over to them, aimed and fired. I quickly put down two Grunts and an Elite. I was amazed at the Master Chief's accuracy on the aliens. It seemed as though every second he was taking down at least one.
" Snipers!" Screamed a soldier as we all ducked to prevent being shot. I saw the Master Chief unload eight rounds. Then there was silence.
" Men lets move out!" Ordered the Lt. We quickly took the stairs down the platform and followed him.
My name is Johnson Davis. I'm a Hell Jumper and this is my story.
" Shut the f-up I'm trying to give coordinates of us to a Pelican pilot!" Yelled the Lt.
" Our position is north east of the McGregor Monument. You'll see us." Said the Lt up to the Pelican. A few minutes later the Pelican arrived with a Warthog. The Warthog made a bounce off the ground then was still. The Pelican took the wounded then took off. I called gunner. The Lt drove and a Hell Jumper, Pvt Samson called shotgun. Within seconds we took off. It was about thirty minutes before we got to the building complex.
" Lets get moving!" Ordered the Lt as we moved across the road and onto the first level balcony of the building. I turned around to take out some Grunts. A Corp gestured his hand say fro me to move forward. I made my way up the stairs and onto the third floor. I looked forward. I just stared in aw at the gigantic machine.
I was about to shot at it but the Lt set his hand out in front of my sight and told me to not shoot. I sort of figured that my SMG would do no use. Last I made my way up to the fourth floor with the Lt. The floor wasn't really a floor like the rest because it was open. Hallways and bridges covered the area. I ran ahead. Underneath me was the giant machine still unscathed. Seeing a box full of grenades I took a few and ran ahead.
Meeting up with about ten other Marines and Hell Jumpers I waited for the assault. We placed ourselves behind some brackets holding up a floor above is and waited.
" What we waiting for?" I asked a Marine.
" The Master Chief," he replied. I gripped my rifle hard and waited.
Moments later the Master Chief made his way up the stairs and over to us. The machine stopped on the other side of the building and Covenant soldiers came out from stairs in the machine and began to fire. I opened fire and hit a Jackal. I took the pin off a grenade and threw it out onto the machines topside. The grenade exploded. At least three Covenants flew off the machine. I took left arm, gripped my hand and waved it in the air as the semblance of succession. I quickly got back to business with sweat dripping down my face.
