Halo 2: Reawakening of Halo (story1)

Following the destruction of Halo, Master Chief and Cortana headed back for Earth. Upon arriving they received news of a large energy mass not too far from their own galaxy. It seemed that it was getting stronger and stronger. Once again Cortana and Master Chief leave for another important mission. Accompanying them will be Private Brad Henderson, sniper. Private Ryan Reed, killing machine. And Private Taiko Shinko, computer engineer. But before they left, the Spartan II scientist's decided to soup up Master Chief. Together with a new armor, that could take almost any hit, he received a jump ring, that fits around his wrist and when he presses a button, a new assortment of weapons and vehicles will be sent to him by using a new jump system. Another step in Taking Master Chief to the next level, was that they uploaded his brain with new moves such as increased reflexes and stamina. Now they were ready to go. Together they boarded a small carrier and jumped to the location of the large energy signal.
When they arrived their eyes widened as they saw a very large ring over an Earth-like planet. Master Chief was the most surprised. He thought that he and Cortana destroyed it, but it didn't look like Guilty Spark and Halo would give up in their masters quest for the destruction of the entire universe that would eventually wipe out all forms of life, including humans.
They landed on the planet near an out-growth of hills and jungles. Quietly Taikong cover they moved behind a small shield of rocks and waited. This is this is the story of Halo 2: The Reawakening of Halo.
The team waited for Master Chief to give them orders, but all Master Chief (That's what they called him) could do was sit there aimlessly doing nothing. Ryan went up to Master Chief and asked selfishly, "Master Chief, I needa kill something before I kill myself. I suggest we move and find any strange activities and then--kill the activity!" Master Chief just stared at Ryan and pushed his head out of the way with his hand so that he could see everything. Ryan crawled back to his spot near Taiko with his assault rifle hitting the ground. Master Chief put his finger up in a gesture to keep quiet. They waited and waited and then heard sounds of a number of footsteps and vehicles. Brad could hear the confusing sounds of those puny Convenant Grunts and their annoying little screams. Just about when Ryan was going to start killing those little devils, Master Chief stepped forward and pushed his gun down and said, "Wait. I will give you the signal to attack. If you do not listen to me then I might just have to kill you." Ryan took that as a serious threat and backed down.
Soon sounds of Jackals, Elite's, Hunters, and their military tanks kept the jungle noisy. The team then saw the grunts in their flood forms, and the Elite's, Jackals, Hunters in their flood form. They were hideous. Taiko almost spazed out but Master Chief patted his back of reassurance. Hundreds of them moved into the forest not even noticing the team. All of a sudden trees fell and many monstrous Covenant Tanks (Not taken by the flood spores) were ravaging through the jungle. Ryan again jumpy, wanted to kill them all, but Master Chief knew that the four of them could not take on an army of hundreds not to say thousands or even million because before arriving at the new Halo planet, Cortana informed Master Chief that their were thousands or even millions of life-forms on the planet.
Taiko pulled out a small hand-held computer and opened it up. He began typing something and suddenly a complete Convenant-Flood database showed up that showed info on each of the Convenant-Flood soldiers. He went to Hunters, as they were the most dangerous, and saw something amazing. The Hunters strength increased ten-fold and their shield grew larger and more powerful. They would be the most dangerous out of any of the Convenant-Flood troops. "What are Convenant-Flood troops doing here now? I thought they were all killed in the explosion" Cortana said as she projected herself on Master Chief's visor on his helmet. All Master Chief did was shrug.
When the convoy was gone Master Chief signaled them to follow them. As they quietly ran threw the maze of vines, trees, and vegetation's, they still heard a small number of Grunt noises. Everytime they heard it they would duck for cover and wait for minutes and then continue, then here more, then duck, and so on. Brad went up to Master Chief when they were hiding and asked, "Master Chief. I think mabey we can use Taiko's life-form locator to map the jungle and then we could spot any moving object on the map and then kill it." Master Chief like that idea. He told Aki to try and he did. After a couple minutes he got it up and running. They saw one small yellow dot running around them in circles. All of a sudden, it disappeared. The trees were crackling and crackling. The team looked around to see anything but nothing. After minutes of waiting a grunt popped up in front of Master Chief and said, "Help me!" in a childish scream. All of them pointed their guns at the Grunt but Master Chief who was holding him up. "Don't shoot me," he cried for mercy, "Don't kill me! I'm to young to die! I'm only 300 years old--actually that's pretty old, but still don't shoot!" Taiko noticed many yellow dots moving fast towards their location. Master Chief noticed and covered the Grunts mouth. The thing tried to talk but with no prevail. Soon the dots slowly left but that didn't stop Master Chief from letting the Grunt talk. Interested in why the Grunt spoke English, the team took it back to the transport where they were safe.
"How do you speak English?" Taiko asked. The Grunt, strapped onto a chair, replied, "I invented the language amplifier. It's quite useful. I can speak human tongue, although your species does have a number of different languages, and I can talk Dreadion and...." The Grunt was cut off when Ryan put his hand on his mouth. "How come you are not with--them?"
"Because I am not infected by the flood spores, duh, and I don't want to fight. I think you humans are great. Look how much stuff you guys got. Your weapons may not be very powerful, but if you let me take a look at them I could make them better. Did you know that I have lived on this planet for years. I know it inside out." Brad handed the Grunt his assault rifle and the thing gladly took it and headed for the ships table provided with told and began working on it.
"What's your name?" Master Chief asked as everyone looked at him surprised that he actually talked. The Grunt looked up at him and said, "My full name would be too much for you to handle but just call me Yiamu. That apple pie looks so good. Yes call me Yiamu. Now if you excuse me I am about finished with your weapon. The team kept quite by sitting down, playing ping-pong, and some other things. Then, Yiamu jumped up and asked everyone to watch him fire. He opened the transports doors and aimed outside. When he fired, a large yellow laser shot bounced off a tree and hit the back engine. Taiko ran to the engine and took a look.
"Ah! The engine is dead. How do we get out of here now. Master Chief's jump ring can't jump any space vehicles. It's all that Grunts fault. Kill him!" Taiko said as he and the team ran towards Yiamu with their fists ready. Before they got to Yiamu, Master Chief shot his handgun on the ground stopping all activity. Yiamu still had his hands over his head in protection. "You will not kill him. He may be of use. Yiamu you said you knew this planet inside out," He uncovered his hands and nodded up and down, "Then, your staying with us. You will tell us where everything is. Taiko you think you could fix up an illusion field so the ship will be invisible?" Taiko nodded up and down, "When you do, stay here and fix it up. The rest of is will go and see what's going on. We won't be long." Taiko nodded and started right away. "We don't have much time. First, we figure out what's going on. What were up against. And what we need to do first. We'll start by using Taiko's extra Life-form locator and follow that large group so that we could get a better understanding of what there doing. Get one explosive," Brad took out one from the weapon holder, "Let's go. You too Yiamu," Yiamu looked at Master Chief with shock and followed them out into the forest.
Sweat from Ryan's head dripped into his mouth. It tasted like dead salt. "Master Chief. We've been walking for hours and those things are still going." Master Chief turned to him, still walking, and replied, "What kind of Marine are you? Did they teach you anything about how to keep up. If you fall then none of us are going to help you up. Stop whining and move it." Ryan put an angry look on his face. Ryan Reed didn't really like the Spartan II projects. They were human, but at the same time not human. Mabey it was just jealosy or mabey it was just the fact that Master Chief wasn't really natural.
But, master Chiefs story was different. He doesn't remember it but he was told one day that he was kidnapped, when he was a small child, along with another handful of children to be tested on the new Spartan I project. They children were trained into killing machines but also to still be more human. They learned to handle a gun by age six, they killed animals as young as eight, and they were so disciplined taht a child wold jump off a bridge if told too. When they were older they tested their skills in Egypt, a war has been raging on for years against the Isreali's and Egyptians. Siding with the Isreali's the Spartan I's were very successful ending a nine-year war in just a couple of days.
When they were transported to another human inhabited planet to test the new Spartan II project they recieved a large energy signal from another galaxy but they remained course. By then, the Convenant were already fighting their holy-war against the inferior humans. When finished with the project, they jumped to the large energy field in hopes that the Convenant would not dare go near something like that. But, when they got there they were a little afraid for a large ring around the planet was there, yet they continued.
Soon, Convenant warships followed the Pillar of Autumn. Convenant forces boarded the ship and attacked sending the Pillar to the planet where the ring was. Few survived the crash. One was Master Chief. The other forty-nine Spartan II's were presumubly killed in the crash. Captain Keyes was captured during a battle and Master Chief went to find him. When he was found in the Pillar of Autumn, Captain Keyes was deformed and uncontrollable. Master Chief had no choice but to kill the captain. He proceeded deeper into the pillar of Autumn to activate the self-destruct seqeunce. It was the only was Halo would be destroyed. But, Master Chief had a new enemy, Guilty Spark, who was bent on activating Halo. Just about when Guilty Spark was going to activate the Halo the planet exploded destroying all of Halo. Now Master Chief is here on this other planet to destroy this new Halo.
"A small group of Jackals are coming. It seems that they picked our scents up. Especially the Grunt....you stink." Brad said. Master Chief nodded and they readied their weapons. Their backs were against each other aiming, waiting. Yiamu was just running around the team in circles screaming but they payed no attention to him. Soon jackals came out with shields shooting plasma hanguns at them. The team jumped out of the way. Ryan killed one of them by using the butt of his gun while Brad stayed with shooting the shields in hopes of it depleting it's energy making the Jackals vunerable. But, Master Chief stayed smart and went behind each and shot them.
Brad hid under a rock while bullets pierced the dirt and the trees making it dusty. But, no one seemed to notice Yiamu standing afraid. Just before a plasma bullet was going to hit Yiamu, Brad grabbed him and stood behind the rock where Ryan was.
"There's too many of them," More bullets hit the ground, "Where's the chief?" Brad asked. "I dunno. But, he must be killing because I smell the blood of Jackal. LEt's go help." Both of them jumped up, and in their warfaces, fired at everything. Yiamu, who wanted to help, just jumped up and put on his strange warface.
Master Chief had taken out eight jackals. After killing another one, he was shot in the head, but it didn't stop him from killing the fire. He saw Brad, Ryan, and Yiamu, fighting the other Jackals about twenty five yards away. That gave him the opprotunity to use his grenades. He jumped up ten feet in the air and hung on to a tree. There were atleast forty Jackals jumping and shooting to kill him. he grabbed a grenade out of his belt. Using his thumb, he took off the safety pin, and threw it down. When it dropped the Jackals stared at it aimlessly. They figured out what it was a few seconds later but it was too late. Most of them died, but there were still about seven left.
Master Chief slid down kicking one of the jackals into the sky. He shot another with his handgun in the head. Then, he slipped kicked one and shot it in the chest. He took out the other ones in a similiar way. But, the other three were still fighting about thirty Jackals and they weren't getting very far. He checked his belt for more grenades but there were no more left. Master Chief looked at the Jump ring on his left wrist and looked for a button. "MPRL(Multi Purpose Rocket Launcher)" He pressed it and suddenly a bright circle, about the size of a Military Humvee appeared. After a couple seconds a large rocket launcer came out. It was one of the newer models, capable of the wielder to guide the rocket using an advanced navigation system.
But it was still a rocket Launcher to Master Chief. "Get out of the way!" Master Chief yelled. The three looked at him and ran. Yiamu accidently tripped, but Ryan picked him back up and carried him behind Master Chief. "Die you motha...." Master Chief said as he fired a rocket. The team got a glimpse of fear from the Jackals. Before they could get away they were dead. Master Chief threw the Rocket Launcher to Brad who was confused.
"Cortana--any readings on a larger mass of life forms?" Master Chief asked. Cortana appeared in front of Master Chiefs visor and replied, "Don't even say hello? Yes, there is a large mass of life forms about a ten miles down. I will project a map at all times on your jump ring. First, get a military Humvee and get in. I'll inform Taiko that we will not be back until tonight." Master Chief nodded and pressed the "Military Humvee" button. Again a large bright circle appeared and then a four seater humvee with two main guns in the back came out. Master Chief took the wheel, Yiamu in the rear seat holding one of the assualt rifles, Ryan and Brad took the main guns in the back.
They proceeded to the location of the mass of life forms. Their first mission on this planet was about to begin. It is time to destroy Halo, once and for all.
The team was riding through the jungle without any problems at all. The wind cold as ice. "So Master Chief, what is that huge ring?" Brad asked looking up at the ring. "Not quite sure, but it could be Halo." Master Chief said. Yiamu nodded his head up and down in agreement. "Your right about the Halo, Chief," Chief turned for a glimpse of Yiamu, "I know what's going to happen. Soon, Halo, will activate, and destroy the entire universe....excluding this planet. This is where a new life form will emerge. After that, Halo will construct a new universe. You Humans thought that Halo was just a crazy mans invention to destroy the universe."
Brad, Ryan, Master Chief, and cortana were shocked by this. If Halo is reawakened then all Hell will break loose. And a new life form will appear. A new universe. This was all too confusing for a mere human to comprehend. But, Master Chief understood quite well.
"See, the alien race that created Halo, was watching your species long before you could even get into space. They saw you as a threat as your species grew quickly in both strength and intelligance. You are like a disease to their universe which they have kept for millions of years so the logical thing was to save their plaents by creating a powerful barrier that would destroy the universe, and humanity, except planets with Halo around it." Yiamu said. "Keep on talking. For a Grunt your interesting." Brad said.
Yiamu laughed and continued with Master Chief turning every now and then, "Our race also saw you as a threat. In both strength, intelligance, and also beliefs. Your race is backwards to us. you don't have one particular religon but a series of them and the people are free to choose whatever they want. Our species on the other hand have one religon based on gods, and if you don't comply to practicing the religon, like myself, then you will be killed. Anyways, the leaders in the Convenant decided to wage a holy war against all humanity before you beliefs speread throughout the universe to other alien species. Did you know that there exactly 7251 alien species in the universe that are intelligant enough to create cities. Quite extraordinary."
The team was curious, furious, happy, and mad, confused, and dead. We are viewed as a threat. Humanity in a way is a threat as a fast rate of population growth has been happening, meaning that soon trillions of humans will be in every part of the universe soon. Which leads to us kicking out the aliens that live in a galaxy now.
They arrived in what looked like a desert with cliffs. Master Chief stopped where the mass of life forms were, which was inside a large crater. The team took a safe spot on top of the cliffs watching the scene. A large base was being constructed by all of the Convenant-flood troops. In the air, strangly, we the flood robots, ordering the Convenant-troops around.
Unlike in the pillar of Autumn, Guilty Spark could not command the Convenant troops leaving him no choice but to kill them. But, it seems something or even Guilty Spark has been able to control them.
"What's it for chief?" Ryan asked as they were lying down watching. "Probaly constructing their base so that they may go to any trouble spot at any time." Master Chief replied, "I got a plan....are you guys up to it?"
The team and Yiamu nodded up and down. "Here's how it goes. We split up. Ryan and Brad, me and Yiamu. One team will be a distraction and the other will go into the center of the base and planet the bomb. The team that distracts will," Master Chief pointed to two banshee's located far from the base easily taken without fire, "take those two banshees and create a fire storm. That will bring out most of the troops leaving the base wide open. Ryan....Brad, i'll cover you guys until you get into the Banshee's. Now let's get moving.
