Endurance: Depature into the depths of hell
Date: 29 May 2004, 2:03 PM

Today I saw a man die, just right in front of my eyes. This was hell as I could see. I was placed in the Ranger Scouting regiment to scout new trade routes for the UNSC to have ships go to other planets.
Today I'm going to be departure into the depths of hell, one would have said. Sgt. Kumor had told us about where we were going, we were about to go check out a space station stranded in a nebula far from here. I didn't like the looks of this, I was only 23 already just married but now I'm about to embark a dangerous mission that I never encountered.

Date 12-23
"Everyone get your packs ready, we are about to move out!" yelled Sgt. Kumor
I grabbed my backpack and my trustful assault rifle; we were about to departure from USS Caesar.
As soon as I board the transport ship I sat down next to Pvt. Hienz, he seemed very odd. He didn't speak much, just to his commanders. I didn't like him much because he would always give me this look like he was about to kill me. But I had no choice but to set next to him.
Everyone boarded the transport ship and Kumor gave the order to go into the nebula. I was excited as the next man. The ship jerked as it exited the USS Caesar and traveled to the nebula. The nebula had purple and greenish colors that looked like ice cream when my mother always made.

Forty-minutes later we docked into the space station, no life-signs were detected but only us. I turn on the torch-light on top of my helmet, the hatched open and Sgt. Kumor and a few others walked out into the docking bay with torch lights covering most of the darkness. I pulled back the cock and let it go making sure the bullets were in place in the chamber. I took off the seat belt then quietly moving into the docking bay while Hienz was right behind me. This was truly the depths of hell from the looks of it. "Whoa!" yelled Tech Sgt. Fredrick, "It's just a dead Cov nothing more than dead cov" I swarmed over to the scene. It was one of those hunters, though its head was gone and its shield as well. "Come on men lets move out into the Command Quarters" ordered Kumor. I ran up behind him as he gave the signal to move out.
We made our way towards the Command Quarters with no trouble. Tech Sgt worked on the memory banks to bring up some memory of what had happen here. Soon lights faded away, I loaded up my rifle and got ready for anything that would come near us. We heard sounds of little needles hitting the cold metal walls, we all made a small group incase of enemy suppression. We turned up our Torch lights but them soon gone out of low batts. Soon we heard thumping noise all around, it was too dark to see. Soon it all stop, "What the hell was that Sgt?" frighten Jag. "Don't know son but be on your guard we need to-" then Kumor didn't respond. We all heard a scream and we looked up seeing some black object fall towards the ground. "OH MY GOD ITS SGT. Kumor!" yelled Hienz. Bullets began to fly all around us in the darkness, it came to a point we couldn't see to kill anything. We were lost in the Depths of Hell. Now we needed to get out before we would all die in some horrible death. This does not look like the works of Covenants, but projects of the Covenants. I would soon see of the worse to happen. "No one knows my real name...the name was Sgt. Maverick of the 102nd ground assault" said Maverick to all of them. "I thought it was-" that day would never be the same again. That day all of the men would die in vain. That day all of them would never come home to defend it. I would be the only one to come home alive. If ever possible, soon all hopes would be lost, soon all victories would fade away as if a dream. I would need to escape the Depths of Hell. Because soon no one would be left standing to defend our home against foes of hatred. Now its time to kick some ass with a Assault Rifle and my shotgun. Against all odds it seems like a good way to win and go back home. This would be the Endurance of my life. Endurance to test all strength, will, and power.
For freedom, but freedom will come at a great cost. This will be the Endurance of my life.
