2582 AD
Planet Novus, Capital Planet of the New Inner Colonies

The City Of Actium, New Campania

Prologue

It has been thirty years since the Covenant attacked Planet Earth, and the Human race is back up from the climax in 2552.

Colonisation grew by the day, as more and more people want to leave the damaged Earth, while survivors there decided to care for Nature, before Earth would not be a healthy place to live.

Population was booming since 2660, and the massive recolonisation progress began in 2663, after the announcement of the new way of space travel, called Subspace.

Part 1: The City Of Actium

A boy and his mother walked through the streets of Actium, the biggest city of New Campania, one of seven continents of Planet Novus.

He was six years old, and was a happy kid. always doing what his mother said.

His mother was 25 years, and was happy with such a nice kid. she had yellow hair, brighter than blond, and had a mysterious look, and looked strong.

The streets were big, and space ships flew with swarms in the air, as the normal cars drove through the city. the buildings were huge, and the advertising on the huge buildings were great, and even interactive. advertisements on the walls spoke to people as they passed, trying to convince them that their product was the best.

drink automates were equipped with a advanced AI, which you could have real discussions with if you liked, what happened often.

Every street and corner were cleaned often, and looked high tech. No street stone that looked ugly and old, but all new and great, giving the feel that you were rich.

Space ships flying over bringing dayly products to shops, especcially freighters, as small fighters and police ships flew over to get to their destination, or refuel and deliver or get supplies, side arms, and more to sell at space stations.

Life in Actium was special, since everyone had it good, and none had too much, and non had too less. well, except for the world leaders, of course.

Garbage were consumed by either special nanites, or friendly space animals, that seemed to like to eat human garbage. Human consumings were taken care of by friendly bacterias in the sewers, while nanite droids kept the ducts in the sewers clean and top quality, blinking shining, and keeping it fresh and smell nice.

Everyone could become rich by trade through planets, but there were risks. pirate ships treatening freighters while they made their way to systems by using Subspace technology, but also material clouds, asteroids, and much more could damage ships in various sectors.

The boy and his mother were absorbing all the experience they saw, and asked to themselves how they could build such city's so quickly. a question that they would soon find the answer for, since they accidentally strolled into a construction zone. Big machinery with advanced building AI's quickly build buildings, and could build a building in a few days, instead of almost a year or even longer.

But also human workers, who kept the security and overlooked the building, were also there
to learn to build for themselves or insert that in their own building AI.

Artificial Intelligences were normal by the day, but not commercial. no normal person had a AI in house, but the world around them, cafetaria's and bars had at least one of them.

They were expensive, but this sector was extremely rich, where all had it good. Why, all the poor people were on low rank planets, and never came off.

The boy and his mother entered a hotel-like apartment, and walked through the huge corridor to the checkin-bay.

People were busy, and walked around, while elevators gone upwards in a huge speed.

"Welcome to Arcadia, the Company for your home! How can I help you?" a women said at the checkin, while the other two workers were busy with other people.

"We called a few hours ago, to rent a apartment for indefinite time."

"Great choice, ma'am, What is your name?"

"Kythera. Sonja Kythera."

"I see. One moment please."

In the meantime, the little boy waited with the patience of a angel. he just could not come above the counter, and looked around.

It was so great, the floor was even more beautiful than outside, and there were multiple counters, going to various apartments, alphabetically ordered in classes.
even more high tech advertisements were littered across the walls of the interior.

The women got a few pages of information through a fax-type machine. she then turned back to her.

"Indeed. I see that you ordered for two rooms, with kitchen, and bathroom. Where is the second person?"

"Here." Sonja responded, and picked up the boy. "It's my son, Cornelius."

"I see. what a nice name for such a nice boy. Okay, Class B, room 312. just tell at the counter of Class B. Have a nice day!"

"Thank you." Sonja said, with a glimpse of her mysterious, but either friendly look, while she turned away with her son, Cornelius.

they walked to the Class B counter, that was about 200 feet further, to the north-east of the building, as they passed the pillar to the second part of the huge building.

"Welcome. Pass Please." the women at the counter said.
Sonja gave the card to the women. she scanned it and got confirmation from the Class B AI, that keeps control over the registrants.
"Thank you. have a nice day." she said.

a door opened to a elevator, where two men came out of and walked past the boy and his mother.

They walked in, and scanned the card.

"Room 312." Sonja said.

"Confirmed. please stand by while moving to the objective."

The elevator was much faster than the old elevators from the 21th century, and a lot safer, by use of the newest technologies.

In a few seconds, the elevator stopped, and the two stepped out. to their surprise, the elevator had transported them right into their room.

It was a high-tech room, full of technology they never saw before. the floor was great, and the walls were beautiful. every piece of the living room was used perfectly.

they put down their things, and Cornelius started to look around and feeling on things carefully.

Sonja looked around in the house. a bathroom, two bedrooms and a studyroom were at their disposal with the Living room.

Cornelius saw a GTV (Galactic TeleVision) and walked around the big 3 - couch that was on the flanks of the tv and in front to get to the tv.

The TV was 120" and thin as paper, but full of hi-tech stuff. once he came within a 6 feet radius of the GTV, it flipped on and said:

"What program do you want to watch?" the tv said. it had a womenly voice

Cornelius was scared, and already was behind the 3-couch 7 feet back.

"Mom! that TV is talking to me!"

"What?", she said, while she was in the bathroom. she walked to the living room and saw him behind the 3-couch, while the GTV kept asking what he wanted to see.

"That's the strangest TV I've ever seen..." she thought loudly.

"For the fourth time, what program do you want to see?" the GTV said to Cornelius, while he hid behind the couch.
Of course he found it strange, and scary that a TV could really talk to him.

"I'd like to see the News."

"Acknowledged." the GTV said back.

"Cornelius, come out there...its just a TV who wants some attention..."

Cornelius began to look to the GTV, who now worked like any normal television, by broadcasting the news.

"Come, the news is starting..."

2 days later...

Beyond Halo:

The Trilogy Chronicles: 2582

Part 2: Soter

Planet Novus, Capital of the New Inner Colonies
The City Of Actium, New Campania

"One of the strongest psychic power a Human had although his limitations, was the Power to believe. If one believed he could free the world, and he did everything for it, he succeeded. One never stands alone."

Part 2:

2 days later...

Monday, Day 3

7AM.
It was Monday, the start of the week.
This was a important day for both Cornelius and his mother...

"Cornelius, wake up! Get your things ready, we're leaving on 8am!" she said.

Cornelius woke up slowly. In a daze, he looked around, and then fixed on where he was, before stepping out.

He began to get his clothes on, and when he was fully dressed, with shoes on and everything, he asked:

"When is Dad coming home?"

"I don't know, but I think he'd be here soon..." Sonja said with a sigh...

"Why is he always away?"

"He's making money for us, so we could live here..."

"Come, we must get ready. Your first day on school is important. The first look counts."

A half hour later, they were ready. Cornelius had his own backpack, and his mother walked to the elevator, scanning the card, the eyes and the fingertips.

"Granted. Please walk in now." The elevator said.

The door opened, and they stepped in. soon, the elevator moved quickly down.

Once they hit the surface, the door opened, and a man walked in, while they moved out.

They walked out of the large corridor that they entered two days ago, and walked to a taxi.

"Destination?" the computer said while they stepped in.

"Soter." She said, clear.

"Acknowledged. Please stand by." The taxi computer said, while it calculated the road to take.

While they passed street for street, the enlightened sign boards passed fast, while hundreds of people walked over the streets doing their thing. Above them were the anti-gravity cars, who followed a uncontrolled pattern, formed by landing pads on huge buildings.

Suddenly, they approached a tunnel, that lead to various locations. Like tree branches, multiplying roads leading to various objectives.

The sound now began to ricochet back once they entered the tunnel.
Sounds were magnified x2, and it was a opportunity to hear how the motor was heard from outside.

The taxi was only the usual, four-doors car with cheap leather suits, but it was more luxe than on many colonies, and what is called cheap and usual here, is called extravagant and super luxurious on other colonies.

Once they ascended from the tunnel, the whole city looked different. A really huge building now was at a exact 12 o clock stance, while other huge companies owned the other really huge buildings.

"Objective in sight, please pack your bags." The simple computer said.

"Okay, were here, little man." Sonja said, with a sigh.

Soon after, the car moved into a underground parking lot, which was very clean as well.

The doors opened, and they stepped out. The car right away descended from the sight, and quickly drove out, like a madman.

They walked to a elevator, that shined out blue light.

"Welcome to Soter Education and Training. Please enter your objective, please."

"Soter Main Hall, please." Sonja said.

"Affirmative. Voice recognition is a success." The computer said.

They soon ascended up to the Main Hall.

The doors opened, and the luxury that lurked was immense.
As a Class A++ Building, it was one of the most luxurious buildings in the city.
The floor was laid in with plate gold, the ceiling was painted by the best artists of the city, the walls were plate silver with reinforced steel and more alloys, making it almost invincible and beautiful.
The counters were laid in with silver, and had golden grades on them.

Other metals were seen in everything, as pure diamond was laid in silver reinforced windows, while all glasses were pure crystal.

They walked to the main counter, in the middle of the Main Hall, just in front of a huge pillar. Many children made their way through the main hall themselves, oriented as they were.

Some asked their way, or were talking to their friends. Only few had a parent with them, even on this first day.

"Welcome to Soter Educations! The women said at the check in counter of Soter Main Hall.
"What is your name?"

"Sonja Kythera and Cornelius Kythera." Sonja said.

"Kythera...Yes, I see, Cornelius Kythera, to have the first day...today." The women said, while typing in the information.

"Okay, Join that group of new students over there," the women said, while she pointed at a group of approx 30 students around the age of 6-7. "While I enter the information." She finished.

"they turned around and walked away, after saying 'goodbye' to the friendly women at the counter.

"Good luck, son, I'll see you in about a week." Sonja said.

"A Week?" he said, expecting to see his mother every day after school.

"Yes, my son...I can't do anything about it...And you don't have to look at me that way, this is the best education in the whole galaxy!" she said, while she crouched down before him.

"I know how it's like, my son, but now you have to do it, to use the talents you might have in you! You are my son, and the only one. The rest of those 3 billion are not, only you. I try to find the best for you..." she said.

"Go now... I'll see you in a week..." she said.

He looked up again, and wiped away his tears, and hugged his mother, before walking to the group of other kids.

"That's my son...good luck..." she thought, while she looked how he walked to the others.

She turned around, peeked back once, and walked away.

"Be strong in the path that lies before you...my son..."she thought.

What do you do?

Part 3: Assault

UNSC HQ
City of Actium
Planet Novus

UNSC Radar Quarter

"Sir?" a radar tech asked.

Commander James Fort turned around, who looked at other calculating computers.

"Yes, what is it?" he said.

"I'm picking up weird signatures, look." He said.

"What the-?" the Commander asked.

"It's not our origin..." he said.

"Get a scan on it now!" the Commander said.

"It's gone! Where the hell is it!" the tech said scared.

"Coordinates?" the Commander asked.

"Two-Six-One-Zero..." the tech said, trying to get control on himself.

"Reading multiple signatures here!" another tech said, across the other side of the radar tech room.

"Get a ID on it, now!" the Commander said.

"I am reading CCS Battleships!" another tech yelled."

"Damn, Covenant Origin!" he said, as he could not think clear.

"This is not good!" the Commander said.

"Call all marine forces, and get all men and women capable of fighting here to arm themselves. Set out a global warning!"
The Commander said, while he sped through the radar computers, watching what each computer found.

"Calling all stations! Prepare for action!" was yelled through intercom.

"Warn the citizens!" the commander said.

"y-yes sir.''

"It's a fleet! I am reading over eight battleships!" another tech said.

"Unbelievable!" some said.

"But how the hell could they be here, we defeated them thirty years ago!" an"ther tech said.

"Defeated, yes, annihilated, not a chance. They were far to multiple..."
"Make sure everyone stays inside and goes to take shelter, now!" Com. James Fort said.

"All marine forces, go to your battle stations. We have Covenant battleships on approach." someone said through all marine chatter and intercoms.

"You heared them, move out!" a sargeant of one of the many fire teams said.

Back at Soter, things goes crazy at the same time as well. Everyone was arming themselves and moved outside, while the few new students stayed inside, including Cornelius.

Young professionals moved out in fire teams of 15-30, all armed with Advanced Battle Rifles, taking position at tactical points of the city. Others inside Soter took position near one of the windows higher.

Right away, citizen traffic was stopped, and only ships capable of defending themselves moved on, and quickly, Longsword bomber squads were formed, shrieking upwards or across the city.

The air alarm began to blare, and everybody got into a state of emergency.

"Damnit! Not now!" Sonja said, who already was beginning to get concerned because of the marine movement.

She quickly ran to a UNSC arming station, and quickly armed herself after identifying herself.

She picked out some marine armor and quickly put it on, while also picking up a Advanced Battle Rifle (ABR), and as much ammunition as she could carry.
She picked out a chatter, and began hailing UNSC SSF Department.

"This is Sonja 312 reporting! What is the situation?" Sonja said through marine chatter.

"Rally the SSF Forces, One-Point-Two's, and get as much soldiers with you, Lieutenant Sonja 312, ASAP.
We got multiple CCS Battle Cruisers and Battleships of Covenant origin." someone said at the other side of the communication.

"Understood, Moving out!" she said back.

"Damned Covenant..." she swore.

"Marines, follow me, we need to get a advantageous position over there." She pointed at the slightly higher place in the city, where two lonely turrets were placed.

"All cities are warned, and are preparing for the attack, sir." A marine said back at the UNSC HQ.

"Any chance of reinforcement?" Sargeant Dane said, leader of Fire Team Delta Four, while he took position with twenty soldiers on the empty streets, behind cover.

"Negative, that's about out of the question. The Covenant will assault everywhere at the same time, it seems." A radio tech marine said next to him.

In the meantime, Sonja tried to rally lost troops and get some One Point Two's into the group.

"Calling all One-Point-Two's, where are you?" Sonja said, while she loaded up the Advanced Battle Rifle with a full clip of ammo, and a few grenades into the build-on HE grenade launcher.

"Samuel-299 reporting! I'm with two other One Point Two's at station. Got some new recruits with me from S'7. Where the hell are you?" came the first response after a while.

"Close to base, getting the evacuees into their fortified shelters, the only thing that isn't luxurious here..." Sonja said, while she got some straps to tie a sniper rifle on, after she picked up a grenade belt.

"How many One-Point-Two's are there, actually?" she asked.

"Just you, me and these two. But I saw a Mj...lnir armor back there, Only no Spartan-II though." He said, while he was approaching with his team.

The turrets were placed at high grounds, while the marines used the environment to their advantage, by using abandoned cars and sandsacks to create a safe zone at some point.

Some marines began to put a position inside the tall buildings, watchfully looking towards the sky.

The usual roars of cars began to fade away, and it began to rain. But evacuation took too much time, and the streets were still swarming with evacuees.

Pelican Transports were trying to deliver sand sacks, warthogs and soldiers to tactical positions.

The Warthogs were armed and manned, and began to spread across the glooming city, while in space, the humans tried to rally ships.

The battle was about to start once again.

Space, Covenant Fleet.
Mothership Solar Tempest

In the huge purple command bridge, Head Prophet Of War, Astaroth, was overlooking all communications, while two Headmasters to his flanks, below, were commanding the ship.

The bridge was filled with security consoles and was easily to be defended against any intruders that may pass.

Suddenly, Planet Novus became visible.

"Target in sight, Great Leader." 'Daimomee, Headmaster of Targeting, Radar and Sensors said.

Astaroth did not say much. He mostly sat in the highest spot, where he controlled any and all communications and actions.

But now, he spoke.

"How is our training program going?" he started.

"Almighty Astaroth, the Heloth Training Program is almost ready in its first stage. The first tests are almost ready for action." 'Samnamnamee, the Golden Elite in charge of researching weapons and tactics, said, while bowing for his Leader.

"Headmasters, you know what to do." He said through communications to the other sixteen ships.

"Yes, Great Master..."

Beyond Halo: Trilogy Chronicles 2582 Part 4
Date: 21 October 2004, 1:23 PM

Begin part 4

Close to Planet Novus
Covenant Mother Ship The Solar Tempest
Starboard Bridge Alpha

Astaroth, Prophet Of War hovered around by his half-round control panel, watching all communications and actions.

The Two Headmasters of the Solar Tempest, 'Daimonee and 'Samnamnamee, were working on their best, preparing for the assault on Planet Novus.

"All forces, advance to your battle stations. Prepare to assault the heathens! 'Samnamnamee said through their type of intercom, which we do not know the origin of at the moment.

"Targeting all blasphemous ships...I read three Cruisers, and seven wings of Longsword interceptors, each wing representing eight Interceptors. They do not stand a chance." 'Daimonee said.

A few seconds later, a grunt barged in, having a message in his hands. A Golden elite walked in with him.

"Lord Astaroth". The Golden Elite bowed, while Astaroth had his back turned. "My unworthy servant has a message for you to bear." He finished.

"A message? How welcome." Astaroth said, friendly.

The grunt quickly gave the message to Astaroth, and began to bow, as he was forced to learn by his master.

Astaroth opened the Covenant seal, probably made by another High Prophet.

He looked, and enjoyed what was said. "Good. Thank you, Payay. You may now leave." He said. And the Golden Elite and his Orange armoured Grunt, Payay, left the door, where two High Elites stood to guard the door.

"...long time since Master has pleasure..." 'Daimonee noticed.

"Lord Astaroth, targeting all Infidel Ships: Six Battle Cruisers and Twelve Interceptor Wings has been dispatched by the Infidels.

"Fire at your wills." Astaroth said to the other High Elites at the other ships.

32 high concentrated pulse beams were fired onto the unlucky humans, who were staggered.

In a few seconds, many Orbital guns, MAC Stations and a few space stations were destroyed, taking a cruiser with them. Five of six human ships were unscathed, and now overdriven forward, while behind them the Cruiser was furiously exploded into flames and debris, destroying anything in its area along.

Another array of pulse beams were fired, but luckily for the Humans, with bad aim.

They crept closer and closer, while the Covenant took action.

The 120 Human Longsword MK.2 Bombers were soon accompanied by hundreds of Seraph Heavy Bombers, who were emptied out of the arsenals of the sixteen Covenant ships.

A third attack was launched, and damaged a three of five cruisers, one heavily.
"They disrupted our aim or some sort!" 'Samnamnamee said.

"You are just not shooting well, 'Mashu." Astaroth called 'Samnamnamee by his first name.

"Enemies are getting ready to fire..." 'Daimonee said, getting a little nervous.

The human cruisers took advantage of the weak position the covenants were having, while Longsword interceptors were holding off the Seraphs from interfering.

"What is their plan anyway?" 'Daimonee said, getting frustrated, as he calculated information and looked at three monitors at the same time.

"Enemy reinforcements...four wings of eight Longswords and a Class 6 Battleship. We really caught them off-guard this time." 'Samnamnamee said.

"Wait a second..." 'Daimonee said, "They have caught us off guard!"

"What is it!" 'Samnamnamee said loud.

"Infidel Deathbringer rounds!" he yelled.

"Get the shields online, and tell the other ships to evade!" Astaroth said loud and clear as he stood up from his unhovering chair.

"Evade! The lights are Deathbringers! Evade!" 'Samnamnamee said to the other High Elites controlling the ships while trying to get low.

The two ships fired their Super MAC Rounds at the overcharged ships, who stood mightless at their attack.

With only secondary and tertiary weapons able to fire, they could not damage a lot.

The contant fire of the Super MAC Rounds were more deadly than ever.

On impact, they slashed through the hulls of the covenant armours, leaving a wretched hull whom was sizzling of the pierce, melting away as the SMAC Rounds Pierced through the whole of the ship, destroying walls als pillars as they crumbled down, taking the ceiling with them.

Internal explosions blew through multiple ships, as the Class 6 Human Battleship joined with his high concentrated lasers to pierce through the hulls, with success, dropping the hull integrity of the Daemon Exglorium, a Class 7 Covenant Battle Ship.

The shield integrity of the Class 9 Mothership dropped dramatically as a array of SMAC rounds and two high concentrated super lasers pierced through the heavy Class 9 Mothership like hot knife through butter. The shields fell out and another pulse blasted through the weakened hull.

The ground shook as internal explosions destroyed whole sections of the ship.

'Samnamnamee couldn't find a grip on himself as he tried to hold himself as good as possible, as he heard the sound of the computers falling out, and the rumble of another round of SMAC piercing through the main section of the ship.

"All power on shields now!" Astaroth yelled.

All the electricity fell out in a instance, and the shields were reactivated just in time. Only life support stood on, but for the rest, they were in darkness.

Elites quickly activated their swords for light. Their lights illuminating the place, whom became a frightening place to be, while from far, they heard the death shrieks, screams and yells of falling comrades, either Elites, Grunts or Jackals as small internal explosions blasted away squads.

Communications fell out with the heavily damaged Class 7 ship the Daemon Exglorium as round after round pierced through the fierce armor of the Covenant Fleet.
Electricity began to burst out of two disabled ships around the Solar Tempest, and two wings of Longswords were advancing to made a quick deal of the ship to the right of the Solar Tempest.

With great speed, they delivered their enormous payload to the heavily burning and exploding ship, until the payload made contact with the heavily damaged hull of the Daemon Exglorium, making it explode so wildly, that it took another ship with it, and damaged the Solar Tempest as well.

The ship rumbled even more, while the last explosion made a halo-arc explosion, delivering another hit to the surrounding ships, almost taking a class 4 ship with it.

Debris collided with the weakened hull, while the mothership tried anything to spare up power to survive the attack.

Seraphs Heavy Bombers came from far to chase the Longsword Wings who just bombarded another Covenant Class 4 ship, disabling it.
Fires started everywhere on the Solar Tempest, and Hunters were trying to clear up the mess by just blasting it away.

Astaroth became so furious of the destruction of so many of his brethren, that he yelled loud:

"Fire the Super Beam Cannon now!"

"We cannot! It has been disabled by these Deathbringer Rounds!" 'Daimonee said.

"They will pay for this! Tell all the ships to fire all their weapons on the Infidels, now!" Astaroth said, even more furious.

"Yes Sir!" 'Samnamnamee said back.

But another round of MAC fire started up, the last of the payload the two human ships had left, while they crept very close now.

The securdairy turrets were shooting furiously on the two smaller cruisers, that used their secondary weapondry and smaller lasers to damage the ships more and more.

"Hull integrity is on fourty percent... main weapons are disabled sir. The other ships reported that their main weaponry are almost depleted. It is not wise to fire on them with the main weaponry. Instead, let the Fighters to the job." 'Samnamnamee said to Astaroth, while he walked back to his station.
"We should now move on and bring death to them." 'Samnamnamee said to Astaroth, while getting his computer running again.

While on the background the last of the battle was fought out, The two and Astaroth looked forward.

"Only eight ships are left, sir, and I doubt that it will be enough. We lost many elite soldiers here already, and this blow was fatal to the morale. We lost Three High Prophets today, sir, and I doubt that the High Counsil will be happy about what happened, to be honest." He continued.

"Besiege the planet, and set out the Tümen." Astaroth said angry, but cooling down, while he sat back down at his hovering seat.

"This little victory for them is just the prologue of their defeat. It is not over." Astaroth finished.
