Alternate Happenings 1 : My eyes
Date: 8 January 2008, 9:51 am

Before reading you may want to read this upper section on the story, it contains important information(depending):

This fan fiction does have spoilers to some of the game BUT it is not base off of what happens. It is told through the eyes of a marine who's 'been' in each halo game. The events are different though because he survives the crash with the Master Cheif in Halo 1. Also note that in goes 3 2 1 in the seires when the marine recalls the events. It is also written like a monolog which could effect how you yourself veiw the events.

Why do I seem to be a bit dazed, nothing was right. I can not see anything with my opened eyes! I guess leave them shut. How long have I sat here wondering what would happen to me? The thought of me being dead was all about my mind. I must struggle and pintch himself to make sure I'm not. Oh how I wished that the elites would just kill all the brutes for me. At this point I wished it was himself. What's that?

It's Siera 117 and he's approaching two pelicans that are hovering over a old dock while taking heavy fire. A banshee was in sight of a me now is it. Aimed my rifle dead on the middle of the flying craft. With a split-second movement the banshee dove into the river. Siera 177 got on to one of the pelicans to leave. Jackels shot at the fuslage of the dropships. I saw that the beams where close, close enough to silence. Dead silent I broke each's back with my trusty rifle.

The pelicans left, flying away without me. I sat down under a tree, almsot as before. The only thing that make a sound was two pursing phatoms a few minutes later. I've sat under this tree all day and thought. I'll let hmy imagation run wild with what the Master Cheif would do to these alien. He got a grin on his face. He remebered when Master Cheif toke down a Scarab by boarding it! Oh how he remebered the glory of that victory. Well it should have been at least.

Then the that second ring. Halo was it? Yes, yes it was Halo. That under water shaft was quite a doozy. The Master Cheif kept his helmet on though. After that it's a good thing he could tell where those camo guys where in that room. A grunt almost got me because I was so careless! Then again being captured by brutes is no better.

I think if the Master Cheif took longer to save us from the brutes captivaty the jackels in the cell across from me would eat me. Though there was something odd about the Master Cheif when he came. Oh yeah Cortana was gone. Apperantly some elite whose name I forgot opened all the doors. I wonder what happen to Cortana. Oh well. She was annonying anyways. Of course tell the Cheif that and I wouldn't have made it off the first Halo.

I even remebered back on the first Halo! I surprise even myself. Now wasn't it me and the Master Cheif who managed to save thounsands of marines and take down the ring itself. Hmm that explains why I have a Sergeant badge. My head! ...It was a shame though that Keys died. We told him that the Oracle wouldn't delay it again and go crazy but he wanted to make sure. At least we all got away. Though maybe he did get away. Brutes where nowhere on that ring if I recall.Weird.

The beach attack...when we looked for the map of halo. I remeber that one well! The thrill of jumping out of a pelican straight into combat! No fun when your friend next to you is hit though. Poor guy. I wish I could have done something...anything...but...

Ow what was that! I didn't punch myself! Whats... Wait, I'm no longer under that tree from before...but with Sergeant Johnsan and some others? "Come on you dumb apes! You want breakfest you have to catch it first!" Time to get up to leave but wait a minute. I should leave my sniper behind. John will need it if he was to rescue us after all.

I hope you enjoyed my story of what happens if just one marine survived a fatal crash. Please leave comments to this story. Any questions about the story just send me an email. However I will not give out his name.

Alternate Happenings: Your eyes
Date: 16 January 2008, 5:57 am

In this one you choose your path by your actions. There will be a multi choice and what you pick happens (note: you must scroll down to the path you choose) The story takes place in the Halo 3 time setting. The credit secition is a addition to the story, not needed to be read.

As a marine in the U.N.S.C. core you must make split second decisions to decided life or death. Trained for any condintion, you never back down. You and your childhood friend have been in the same team for ten years. You have just jumped out of a pelican with your team and was quickly pinned down by the enemy. Needlers fired rapidly from grunts and tons of spikes from brutes. You regroup with your team shortly after dropping down. Elites were one hour out and inbound, so the sergeant told them. Their's and our objective was to secure the town near the Prophet of Reget. In your mind you ponder your choices...

Paths(choose wisely)

A) Shoot down the brutes first so the grunts scatter and the elites have a clear L.Z.
B) Stay under cover and attempt to blindfire.
C) Fall back to a nearby ruin.
D) chuck out grenades and shoot after they blow up.

Path (A) A Wounded Sharpshooter

You pop up and begin to fire upon the brutes. They call grunts to shoot at you and you get hit badly. The Sergeant and other marines pop up and kill several grunts and few brutes before getting pinned again. A medic tends to your wounds and a plasma grenade falls ontop of the rock your hidding behind. The medic throws you away and is blown back from the impact. The brutes retreat for taking too much damage and the grunts panic. Elites arrive and assit you to your objective.

Path (B) Coward Wading it Out Grim

You quickly waste all your ammo blindfireing. You notice no change in the enemy fire. You throw out two grenades and hear a faint scream. The other marines hold out for awhile but the medic runs out of supplys and your fighting numbers decrease. Brutes close in but retreat after seeing Elite phatoms appear. You smile at the sight of them running but fear when you see suicide grunts. You and half your squad perish.

Path (C) Making A Stand For Victory

Everyone runs into the ruins. Shotguns are pulled out and the entrances are whatched. Several grunt squads fall before the brutes must go in. Low on shot gun ammo you take out your assualt rifle and fall back deeper in to shoot from the shadows. Guns crakle as brutes rush in and only one marine is injured from a stray spike. The elites arrive and advance with you towards your objective.

Path (D) With My Friend, Untill the End

Everyone chucks out their grenades. Many are thrown back and 1/3 of your squad is killed. Suriving marines shot at the brutes and run for the ruins. You follow in but are hit in the back with a spike. Your friend tries to pick you up but is shot down. Enraged you pick up his assualt rilfe, pull yourself up and unload the two assualt rilfes in your hands. Half of the grunts where killed but brutes end you. The other marines are wipped to 1/3 alive and are saved by elites.

Credits:Wake up Sleeply head

You wake up with a fright, slightly confused. You find yourself in a white room with blank walls and nothing but a pod chair in the middle. You emerge from that pod chair. You hear an intercom say "Welcome back. Your wounds have been healed and there is much to tell you." Your very confused, you only remeber that you where fighting in a city. "You may feel out of place" the voice says "but all will be explained." You see inscribed in the back of the chair as you walk around the words "Near/Death Reviver: Marine use only" there also is a warning lable reading "Warning: subject may have decayed to the point of non revivable stats and may cause an uncalled for effect."

The End

I hope you enjoyed this simulation of what would happen if you where a Halo marine. The events are up to you though to decide, did this happen or did it? And don't forget what if. Please comment or e-mail. Also if there are grammer mistakes I do apologize.

Alternate Happenings: Your eyes 2
Date: 31 August 2008, 6:54 am

The sequel to the first Alternate Happenings: Your eyes. Please enjoy. This one has more opitions for you to choose from. Again please excuse misspells and typos.

You get inside your vehicle in the main hanger of the U.N.S.C. base that just recently picked the Master Chief up. There is a crackle and sparks fly. Your hornet fires up and is flying through the sky. You and several other hornets glide through the sky toward several banshies and a couple of phantoms. The phantoms seem to be heading for the pelican hanger, unaware of you and your allies. You also out number the banshies but some of your poliots are new recruits...

you will:
(A) Fly toward phantoms trusting that your allies will cover you.
(B) Charge with your allies and then lead them after ward to charge the phantoms.
(C) Shoot at the banshies but drift over toward the phantoms and shoot them when close enough.

Choice A:
You fly straight at the phantoms, taking them by surprise. Inside you see marines fighting some jackels and grunts. The phantoms, caught off gaurd, turn to defend themselves but you take them out. You turn your hornet toward you allies to see two banshies shoot at you. You quickly eject...

Choice B:
Together the banshies are made short work of, but the phantoms already went inside the hanger and out. You and your allies chase them when they notice you. The phantoms turn to their sides and their turrets fire rapidly at all of you. The charge stop everyone tried to gain control of their vehicle. You manage a hover when they hit your right engine and spin out of control. You lossen your seat belt...

Choice C:
As you side fire you shoot down one banshie and get close enough to fire on the phantoms. You take one down when another banshie swoops in and hit's the top of your hornet. If flies in front of you to regain control after it's fast attack and you hit one of it's wings. It spirals down but the phantom has leveled to you and shoots your weapons out of commision. Then the ship falls down like a rock with you trapped inside...

You regain conscience and relize that another marine dragged you into the underground part of the base. There are more marines there to and a large steel door opening into a desert. Some jackels rush in and spot you. You and your fellow marines shoot at them when the Master Chief with a passanger warthog with some marines and another marine driving another passanger warthog drive up. You get inside one of the warthogs.

After many small encounters you come up to a broken bridge. Your numbers now have doubled and you all go across the bridge with the Chief. There you assist ever more marines and again gain in number. Now there are two warthogs, but they can't carry everyone. You shall...

(A) Gunner seat the Gauss warthog.
(B) Go with the Chief in the passanger warthog.
(C) Rough it on foot with everyone else.
(D) Drive the Gauss warthog.

Choice A:
You shoot down many brutes and take down a couple of Choppers. Your driver seems very pumped up. Everyone continues and encounter wraiths. You driver tries to drive striaght to them but you get hit by a Chopper. It didn't accelarate so you shoot the driver right out of it's seat, but your driver is dead and passanger wounded. You hold out against many more choppers until a marine comes by and drives you.

Choice B:
Being with the Chief inspires everyone. Brutes are shot out of their chopper seats, brute leaders die from barrages of bullets. This vigor continues until you see a wraith. The Chief gets out and tells you to drive. The Master Chief sprints and climbs to the wraith. You drive around, right behind the Gauss warthog, and slay choppers and turrets. You then see the Master Chief pulling a brute out of the wraith and shoving it into the wraiths cannon then firering.

Choice C:
You are amist the large charge of fellow marines. You cover the Chief back killing foot soldiers and letting the warthogs shoot down the choppers. The charge continues and you see ontop of a hill a wraith on fire. You kill some brutes who appeared dead but were climbing into half destoryed choppers then regroup with the Chief.

Choice D:
You drive the Gauss warthog around and don't get to kill anyone, but because you drived so well you helped the gunner hit a brute off his chopper and hit another chopper's driver flinging him out. However when you get to the wraiths and mass numbers of choppers it isn't as easy. You ram into a turret killing the grunt and destroying the turret but you keep getting chased by choppers. You drive to the foot marines who shoot some of the brutes and your gunners rippes apart choppers trying to flee.

Regrouped with the Master Chief you wreak a brute blockade, and march into a heavily fortified area with brutes everywhere. A turret ontop of a building is destroyed by the Chief allowing everyone to punch through. You are crouched behind the building that held the turret. The brute that was in it is in a funny position...

(A) Laugh at the brute.
(B) Remeber it to tell everyone later.
(C) Do nothing about it.

Choice A:
You enjoy a good laugh but relize it really wasn't that funny.

Choice B:
You make note of this image and come up with some jokes.

Choice C:
You stare at it and almost forgot what was happening.

You push the turret aside and see a brute chieftian holding a plasma turret fireing crazily. You...

(A) Jump at him doing the same thing seeing as how he is guarded.
(B) Throw a frag and then shoot him down.
(C) Sneak behind him and assasinate him.

Choice A:
Your blind fire knocks on the brutes and they are dazed. You run up to one and smash it's face in with your rifle. You then grab his spiker and use it's bayonet attachment on the chieftian's back. Then the last one is regaining control but you take the chieftian's helmet off and drive it into the brute's skull.

Choice B:
Your grenade kills the gaurds but the chieftian is still alive. You gun him down, or atleast you thought. He activated a overshield and turns to shoot you but then the Master Chief came in and snaps the chieftian's neck.

Choice C:
The two gaurds move alittle more foward and you move in from behind. You drive a crowbar you picked up through the chieftian's throat and he silently falls. Seeing two spike grenades at his side you take them and jam them into the two brute's backs.

The fight finished for now everyone gathers. A pelican comes in and drops down. The hatch opens but a warthog also detatches. With one seat left in the pelican and the Chief starts the warthog. You have your last choice...

(A) Go in the pelican.
(B) Go with the Chief.

Choice A:
As you fly away you see the Chief drive off. As you go higher and high up you can help but smile, knowing that you fought with the hero of their time. You close your eyes and fly like you're free falling, enjoying the fact you were the hero, if even for a moment.

Choice B:
You let another marine take your possible seat. You stand there and look at the warthog the Chief started. As you drive even father into the city you can help but think that you may die soon by the Chief's side. That or you could be there and save him from death, but to answer that there is only one path. The one dead ahead.
