Thanks again and I will find some time to start reading other stories here again. I sort of missed you guys but I did see a large volumne of Fan-fic still coming in. You guys are working overtime, keep it up.
As for the Megg (a Halo easter egg), it has officially been found and yours truly was part of that whole thing. Go here and see: http://www.subnova.com/library/?aid=20030429.172943

great to see your back for a little while i thought you had left for good. Great story realy different form the others you've written (they all seemed to be based on a lot more spun off universe then the one usualy prtraied) and its the closest ive ever seen to a perfect story.

What, what is all this talk about an egg. I am completely lost. Can somebody give a web address for info? Anyways, excellent story, as usual. A little odd, but hey, what is crative writing for?
A little off topic, school really slows down writing, doesn't it?

Nice to see the old man post again, thought the SC Archons finally got to you... Just kidding!
I had no idea exactly WHERE to start looking for the Megg, now I see how it's exactly fitting to the clues that Pallor gave... interesting... Love your ability to make even EASTER EGGS sound like a good story on it's own.
It's sad that you write a story based on a hard-to-find egg better than some authors on this site... including potential authors like me. :)
10/10

Okay, WTF is the "Megg?" I really don't know what the hell this thing or person is, so fill me in.
So, if I knew what the "Megg" is, then I'll read it.

Hey, sorry I haven't been hanging around Fan-fic section here in a while. Been busy, but good to see you all here.
As for the Megg, it is an Easter Egg in Halo that people have been searching for and now we think it has been found. Confirmation is expected later this week.
Here is a section from the HBO FAQ about the Megg:
Hey, what's this MEGG everyone's talking about? Okay, to understand the answer to this, you need to know a little about some Bungie community background. Meg Sagi, aka Pallor, has been a prominent member of the Bungie community since the late 90's, when she acted as a Bungie.net admin, making sure that the Myth metaservers ran with at least a minimum of decorum. Jaime Griesemer, aka Case, aka Flawless Cowboy, was around even longer; he was a Marathon fan who eventually became a Myth fan, created some maps for the fan community, and ran a popular fan website, the Myth Codex. He interned for Bungie, and was eventually hired by them as a level designer. When the team for Halo 2 was put together, Jaime was made Lead Designer. Jaime and Meg have been romantically involved for several years now.
During his stint as a level designer for Halo, Jaime built a complicated easter egg into Halo, devoted purely to Meg. He didn't care if nobody ever found it - because it was a private gift for Meg, a little token of his affection built into a game that millions would play. (Conversely, he's not trying to keep people from finding it; it's there, for whoever stumbles on it, but he's not going to help you. Neither is she, beyond the cryptic clues she tosses out periodically.)
Meg is also a high-ranking member of Subnova, a Bungie-oriented mini-community that came together because of mutual admiration for Bungie games, but stays together due to interest in wide-ranging topics. (Unlike HBO, where off-topic posts are tolerated but not encouraged, Subnova is small enough for off-topic posts to be the norm. The main criterion for posting acceptance is how interesting something is - not whether it relates to a Bungie game or not.) When word of Meg's private egg surfaced, another Subnovan, Sep7imus, proposed that it be named 'the Megg' - for 'Meg's Egg'. A fine suggestion - and the name stuck.

lol that was great. Very slick Idea also. Man Wado, I was thinking about emailing you to see if you were still alive or something, because you haven't left a comment of story in a while. I was starting to wonder if me and Sarge were the only Vet's left. :D

Thanks for the comments. I had to take quite a few liberties in the storyline at the end to make it more dramatic, I'm glad you still liked it.

BRAVO! Very nice interpritation of the Meg. You didn't go straight to the point, or let little details be past aside. You took each trigger and turned it into a nice story. Good work...
