Like I said, I don't care if you belive me, because my friends (who have seen it) and I know that I have, and that's all that matters.

I've seriously beaten the game on every single difficulty...it took some time, but I did it.

I know that you will all say I'm lying, but I don't care, because I know that I have beaten the game on Legendary in single player. An Elite CAN be killed with a single shot from the Sniper Rifle on Legendary if you hit it in the right place. I've only been able to do it when an Elite was facing me. If you hit it above its eyes, in that area mentioned in the game manual under the pistol (when it talks about drawing a line across the alien's eyes and the crown of its cranium and hitting it in between those two lines), it will die with one shot, no kidding. Yell at me all day if you want to, but I've been there and done that on Halo. The Sniper Rifle is my favorite weapon and I've done all kinds of wierd things with it. (Oh, and Legendary is close to impossible, but it is definately NOT impossible. What is hardest about it is the radical change in tactics that it forces you to make when coming from the easier difficulties. Adapt, be patient, think, keep moving, stay intimately aware of what is going on around you, and you will stay alive.)
Enough of my how to beat the game on Legendary speech; A good read. Keep up the writing and you will get better.

No, actually, an Elite can take up to two shots into the cranium by a sniper bullet. I'm sure you've played Halo on Legendary...
Oh, and good story. :D

A response! I thought nobody would bother reading my "short" story (or what I like to call it: "short battle"). Thank you! :) Glad to hear it was interesting enough for you to keep on reading. I was worried that the start would be too slow and everybody will switch off. I was kind of miffed at cutting it into two parts because I know there are skim readers who just flash through the stories.
Now, I thought all Elites (excluding Golds and Blacks... or perhaps not) can get killed with a single shot from the SP through the cranium. Hmm.
The Marine officer I believe you're refering to is Sergeant Estael. I thought keeping the squad close in rank and numbers would keep the story focus. If you just look at the number of times I switch perspective... I think you'd agree a handful of Marines was enough.
Thanks again.

Good story, it kept me interested long enough to read the whole thing. I don't think that one red elite should have died off one sniper round. ALso, what rank was the Marine officer
