A kingfisher, especially one of the genus Halcyon.
A fabled bird, identified with the kingfisher, that was supposed to have had the power to calm the wind and the waves while it nested on the sea during the winter solstice
Well, if it was based off of peace, then they named it wrong, UNLESS, there is some sort of Halcyon class cruiser that signs the piece treaty.....

I'm definately not quitting, and this story isn't nearly over. It's getting to the juicy part though.

Where did it say that he was going to quit. Well, you better not. 'Cause this story kickass, but there is some errors in there, mostly typo mistakes. But still, great story, great series.
