yeti-STFU lameass and what is frst strike? is it another 1 of ur american novels that they have not yet published in aust.? Nick.... good point but wasn't it 65 mill? anyways that is a good point, HOWEVER!!!!! If it was in a different place it would have been only slightly of what it is now, BECAUSE if it was closer 2 the sun, then it would be 2 hot, like venus, and if it was further away the it would be 2 variable and, well, random for life, like mars(unless there are martians...)*Xfile music playing in backround*anyways, good having a scientiffic argument(unlike with that Cockbite yeti Nick F. Remember frst strike? the admiral gave the covies a huge nuke?
if thy took it to a planet, then the plantet would be destroyed, if not, everything around the ship would boom.
think of a explosion 10 times bigger than waht happened to Unyeiding Herophant, and thats waht Aaron was carrying.
with a sufficient amount of ''name'' planet vapourised, the orbit would decay and NO NICK KANG, IT WOULD NOT TAKE DECADES TO Kill the inHABItANTS!!! the heat wave would kill, the pressure from explosion would kill, the planet might even SHATTER LIKE HALO. but the point is, even a tiny alteraton to an orbit can change everythng
SO SUCK IT!!!!

Yeah a nuke would never be able to knock a planet out of orbit so quickly. I love your stories well written.

Well theoretically, Earth could have been spinning somewhere else when the dinosaurs were on it. That would explain the climate changes and such. If Earth was in another part of the galaxy when it got hit by the meteor, that could have knocked it out of orbit from where it was, until it slowly got caught up in the gravitational pull of the sun. I mean, 66 million years is more than enough for a single planet to make it's way from one part of the Milky Way to another. So to make a long story short, that nuke has the potential to knock High Charity out of orbit.

To argue lance's point further, maybe it would have but then again earth has had nuclear weapons explode on it, we're still ok. to take it back even further, dinosaurs were wiped out by a comet. Theoretically, that would have much more power than a mere Nuclear weapon, considering it killed almost all life on the planet, yet earth is still spinning in the same orbit, around the sun. there is still life on high charity, thus it wasn't anywhere near as powerful as thre comet so if the comet couldn't knock out a planet inhabited by a primitive species(or so they think...) like dinosaurs, no way High charity is destroyed.

Nice story and great twists. I would never thought Dr. Halsey making armor better than MJOLNIR. How do you say that, MJOLNIR? Oh well, keep it up.

But still, even if it had knocked High Charity out of orbit, it would take decades for the planet to grow cold enough to be uninhabitable.

all it did was blow a crater in the planet, sorry about not enfisizing that, my bad

but theres no point in going back to High Charity!! the bomb, being so poweful, would have knocked it out of orbit!!!! the planet would .1: hit the sun, and be vaporised. 2: spin off, and hit another planet, or .3: drift through space and everything on it would die of cold.
PEOPLE!!! this is what would happen!!! its the LAWS OF PHYSICS, PEOPLE!!! the planet is DOOMED, FACE IT!!! YOU CANNOT IGNORE THE LAWS OF PHYSICS!!!
so please, lance, make the next story that the planet is 100% devoid of any life, and your story will be the best one ever.

Ah! Nothing like teamwork. Dr. Halsey has been a busy little scientist, hasn't she? Right about now would be a good time to get the legendary MC involved in the whole affair. Hmmm...
P.S. I'm not bothered by grammaticals, typos, or spelling errors. I write analytical reports for a living, so stories like yours are escapist entertainment like video games. Thanks for a good read.
