Comments for 'Force Recon, Scout Sniper part 4' |
Conrad Lauf

That was really, really good. Your style of writing about weapons and military stuff reminds me a hell of a lot of Matthew Reilly's work- Which is a good thing.
Although I didn't read the first three parts I still managed to get into this story quickly.
Keep it up!
Cheers, Conrad

ALL HAIL HELL JUMPER. Finally I can read a good sniper story on the internet without people wondering if I'm gunna shot somebody. Umm... ya... Great story. Please feel free to be vauge on certain details. Imaginations make the scene better. If I spelled something wrong I'm sorry. it's 3:30 AM and I can't care right now.
31st Ice Snipers salute you.

Loving the detail, and the plot. A few choppy sentences...maybe some more commas and semicolons. And I keep seeing these missed commas, and for some reason, commas that aren't there bug me.
And I keep wondering, what the hell is the mission?

I read the whole damn series in one go, and somethings start to stick out... heh, I think I figured the little bastard's mission.

Great story! But Ackerson still gives me the creeps. Oh and the marine or helljumper equivilant to a navy commander is a Lt. Colonel to be exact.

I think Helljumper's right, but he's a damn politically driven Marine. Oh well, the UNSC needs crap-shooters like that, right?

Nice! Nice! Nice!
Very nice! I like these descriptions of freefall. Reminds me of cliff diving.

I don't think the Navy uses Colonel, I think they use Commander instead. Plus the Marines are under the navy so they can be in ONI just like there are Marine lawyers in Naval JAG. He has to be a Marine.

sorry for all the mistakes, I reviewed it like 3 times, and just can't get all of em.
to you Noobs this is what ODST is all about. So before you go trying to write about them do ya homework.

Ackerson is part of ONI..the Office of NAVAL Intelligence....so he's a Suid...not a Seagoing Bellhop...
And tell us the damn mission or *im* going to snipe someone...

No, maybe we're thinking about different Navy recruiting commericals. The one I'm thinking about has some music that's by Drowning Pool or Disturbed, or some band like them playing during the commerical.

Yea i believe he is, MCC, can you confirm that. They aren't big explosions or it would kill the Drop Shock inside. Just a small one to cut the parachute, then another one to open the top hatch. I combined the HEV drop from Halo the Flood, and Robert Heinlein's Starship troopers because thats where Willim Dietz got the idea from. To make it more realistic, which I feel I did.
I didn't mention this, but they dropped into the lake so there's no evidence if the Covenant do come. When they came out of the water, did anyone think of the nav seals recruiting commerical.

Nice...that's all of I have to say.
More formatting mistakes then usual, and some grammer as well; simple proof-reading will solve that.
The HEV process was a little different than I thought. You made it sound like their were a lot of explosions throughout the landing process. How tactically stealthy is that? I always figured it would be pretty quiet for covert insertions.
And Ackerson is a Marine?
