Good point, Covie. I failed to acknowledge that you did take a unigue turn there.
I was also unclear. I don't think that showing covies as as devoid of emotion is the way to show them different than humans. I actually liked that part. What I mean is that we assume that their actions and reactions with fall basically in line with what we (humans, especially westernized humans) do. It would be cool to see someone think up reactions that seem truly "alien." We see that sort of thing in human-to-human cultures as well. Everything from Herodotus writing about the ways of the Scythian nomads, to the Eupropeans being shocked by the customs of the native Americans.
Now, as I have said before, that is easy for me to say: I don't write about covies. I do only multi-player fanfic, using only Spartans. So it is just something that I hope to see.
But don't let that obscure the fact that I thought you did a great job. Thanks for responding.

Chuckles, what makes you think that humans are the only ones who can experience emotions? There are many murderous "scum-sucking" humans around, but does that mean that we all are? Are you a no-good-god-forsaken-scum-sucking human? As far as i've seen about you, I don't think so. (I may be wrong though) So i'm not portraying them with human emotions, i'm just showing Elites in a different light than the usual murderous scum-sucking stereotypical kind you usally see.

Good job, Covie. You actually sold that friendship hard enough to make me feel the pain when that no-good-God-forsaken-scum-sucking elite died. But only for a second.
Personally, I don't like it when we make the Covies act like humans. It would take a lot more work, but I would like to see more writers try and give them characteristics that put them outside of Earth's culture.

So far, I find myself enjoying these stories. I got a little confused at first, but then it all made sense. I like the points of view that you provide for the Covenant. Keep up the good work. I look forward to your next chapters. And I'll try to remember that the Covenant species have feelings too. LoL.
