Yea. I understand it's not necessarily a time to be happy and all, but I also understand that I'd rather have 6 friends with me than 6 guys I don't know, and thinking my friends are dead.

They also just found more marines, and ones that they know personally. That is a cause for rejoicing right there.
It's all part of the mysterious human brain's way of thinking.

ok, now, the humans just lost a shit load of marines and these people are in enemy territory and just smiling and laughing like everything is good, they don't act like soldiers but more like kids with guns, come on now.

The phrase you're thinking of is: Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

I don't have writers block. I have the opposite. Writer's cramps. Happens with too many good ideas for how a story could go cram into your head at once.

Not terribly bad. Not bad at all.
He checked his Scanner and replied. "Ah! There's a science ship with Slipspace Drives good, Oh wait, bad they are not fully functional, are any of you good at mechanics?"
That was a little choppy and wierd.
He checked his scanner and replied, "Ah! There's a science ship with functioning slipspace drives. Damn, they're not fully functional. Are any of you good at mechanics?"
That's how I would have done it. Otherwise it was good.
And other titles for your story: Hell in a handbasket. It's goin straight to hell. It's hot as hell in here. (A trap situation) Oh hell! Aww Hell! One hell of a day. What the hell? (Finding something out is probably best here) Holy Hell (Prophet section probably best for this one)
