Good poem, ignoring everyone else's comments and the one thing is that the plural form of Covenant is Covenant, not Covenants. Unless your speaking about multiple pacts with God.

Free verse isn't my favorite poetry style, poetry in general gives me a headache and the need to break something. War is as basic an instinct as reproduction, so no one started it. It does seem anti-war, at least for my tastes.

Critism is for your own good. But it was a decent poem, but what Mainevent said, its too related to todays world.

God people! why are you being so mean to him. I think his poem was good. I mean you can at least say some nice things like "Poem wasn't as good as I thought but it was a good try". Mainevent is the only one that gave a good review. And Dustin that was cool about what you said to all those people, no offense: Walker, coviekila, superr1216, but it was pretty funny seeing someone cus someone out. I should shut-up now. Good Poem though! :)

Shit, if you can't take these kind of comments, then get the hell out. Also, don't get mad at Walker, he is a damn vetren writer that is one of the most helpful. Another thing, this kind of shit you are saying is going to make you look like a damn ass that no one cares about. If you don't like these kind of comments, too bad. If you think this sucks, then don't write, if your not going to write about Halo relative stuff, then don't come here. People here aren't going to be easy on you, so get use to it.
Do excuse me, I do have a anger problem, and I do hate when you talk about my fellow HBOers like that.

Hey, dustin, slow down. I'll have too agree with you, you may not want people to make fun of you or your work, who has? They told you their oppinion, and indirectly what they think needs to be done, like relating more to Halo, this was a bit off Halo, I think. read the text between the '[sarcasm]' and '[/sarcasm]' in Mainevents first post, it's saying everything for me about realting to Halo.
Okay, you may be a miserable person(i'm starting to think you are), but if you submit a poem to a site as this one, you have to get that it is oppinions that is sent to you, not small, kind puppy dogs. Everyone has different taste, and if every person on Earth would read it, there's no possibility that everyone likes it, even if the name of the author is Mainevent, Wado, Jillybean, etc, etc. I hope you're getting what I'm saying.
You wrote that you wanted to see what 'idiotic remarks' this poem would get. In your oppinion, you must have got some idiotic remarks, happy?
If not, write a decent work in the eyes of the HBO:ers, then you will get positive reactions. You tell Walker and Coviekilla to 'get the hell out of here', but don't even bother to spell their names right. And if you really think that a poem 'sux', why post it? It takes place when people are trying to get to something decent to read, and people get angry when they read crap. Haven't said that your poem was, but readers seem to think that.
