Well somewere in a flood there is a human or a convenant and it has to feel somekind of pain.
Besides pain is not a weakness it's an advantage, a warning that something bad is happening to you.

this was good, i kinda lost it in the 2nd and third chapter though, but i caught up in the end. 10/10
