Dang, I forgot about that vid. Must have been thinking about the 03 E3. I guess I didn't read any of those tales, but I still think it might be a little far fetched. Of course you could add a little back story tidbit to tell how the making of so many ships was accoplished. New technology perhaps? Just a tipish thing.

i've read other stories such as LordOfDestruction, who tells of huge human fleets of five hundred of six hundred ships engaging even larger Covenant ships.
the battle rifle and assault rifle basically are nearly the same design, except the obvious differences such as the battle rifle's elongated nozzle and the scope. because of their similarities, i felt they fired the same bullet type and i've said this in other stories, with no obejections.
keep in mind, with the Elite, Frye was using both of his SMGs and if you saw the E3 videos, you can see that even one SMG is enough to bring down an Elite easily.
i appreciate the feedback...i will definitely bring a drop down on the number of ships, and will have to do something about the armor. i remembered from watching The Punisher, he literraly walked into a room with body armor on, took two pistol shots and two shotgun rounds to the armor and was still able to fight...but the bullet type will remain the same and i can't change the SMG-Elite problem.

I does seem like the n00bs are trying to push all the vets out of here. Guess we'll just have to stand strong and...do something. As for the story: It seems you kinda answered my question about the war in there. But 700 Human ships? Oh come on now, that, i'm afraid, is a little far fetched. If the humans had 700 ships, REACH would still be under Human control. Also, you make it sound like there are plenty more ships still fighting. I'm sorry, but that kind of detail is just a little odd for me to take. As for the armor you put on your "Guardians". I like how you explained why they didn't have something akin to MJOLNIR. But look up what flack jackets actually do. They aren't really made to stop bullets. They were used to stop..flak! I watch my fair share of the history channel, and I've seen it done. An armor piercing round would have no trouble going through a FJ. But...perhaps I'm mistaken. Either way, do some research. You have probably figured out that I'm big on details. Oh, that brings me to the MA5B/Battle Rifel bullets thing. I was under the impression that they fired different bullets. In fact, I'm almost positive they don't. Also, I don't think that 20 round from a SMG would take down the shields of an Elite. In Legendary, it takes nearly a full clip (60 rounds) from an MA5B AR to do that. Once again, details, details. I'd just like to see you work on that kind of stuff. It makes a story as a whole much better.
