Here is the real first story the other=promo! So here it is. ENJOY!!
Halo: The Remnant Wars Chapter I: The Beginning
The planet called Georgia, a planet named after the state that colonized it, was one of the first to be brutally attacked by The Remnants. This is how The Remnant War started... this is The Beginning. 0900 hours, May 1st, 5552 (Military Calendar) Inside space station, over Georgia General Mark Henning was in command of the space station in Georgia's atmosphere. It stayed in the same spot, not revolving around the planet, only rotating. About an hour ago a probe sent, along with seven others, to scout out the area turned missing. They checked six times but can't find its signal. He got bored and started reading one of the old Halo legends, the one about Master Chief and how he captured the Control Room on the, legendary, Halo all by himself, when he asked, "Ken, anything new yet?" "Not yet sir," Ken replied. "Strange..." He was thinking about the missing probe. "The probe should have arrived with the others an hour ago and even if it was lost it is equipped with a Plasma battery. We should have seen it by now!" "I know sir, but the radars don't lie. The probe just... vanished." "Hmm," He scratched his beard. "Send another-" He didn't finish he sentence a Tech-man came up to him. "Sir you better look at this!" Henning saw the image. "What is it?" "I don't know, but it looks like there are nine ships around a big one and it looks like it has the probe inside." The tech-man pointed to the small dot on the infrared image, signifying that there was a plasma battery in there. The ships were not normal UNSC standards. They were a blackish blue. The big one had two wings curved under it, almost shaping a circle and a wing on the front facing "down". The smaller ships were the same color, and looked like a "p" sideways. "Hail the incoming ships," Mark ordered. "Aye, Ayes," replied the communications tech-man. Two minutes later he said, "Sir, either they are saying, "Go to Hell" or "We come in peace", either way I cannot understand their message." "Let me see that," Mark replied, running up then looking at the screen. It looked like gibberish, or Egyptian, hell he didn't care. "Hail them ag-," "Sir, one of the smaller ships just fired!" "What?!" Mark yelled then he ran to the main screen. It was true a smaller ship did fire. It looked like a comet, dark blue, and smoldering. The comet, which looked like plasma, missed the station but instead hit the planet. "Tell "High Command" we need some ships! NOW!" The communications tech-man later whispered, "I guess they did say "Go to Hell" after all." Planet Georgia didn't have any ships. Not thinking that someone would attack, they only had Marines. And Marines couldn't fly. 0900.15, May 1st, 5552 (Military Calendar On Planet Georgia, about fifteen seconds before unknown ship fired.
"Mommy," a boy asked. "May we please get ice cream?" His mother replied, "Sure and maybe we can go to the park." The boy had an excited look on his face. He got strawberry-chocolate, his favorite. He and his mother soon arrived at the park where most of his friends were playing tag. "Go on son," the mother said. "Go play with your friends." The boy nodded his head and ran towards his friends. His mother looked up at the sky. There were clear skies, clear enough to see the space station... and the ten ships. She saw a darkish blue, smoldering comet flying down. Strange, she thought. The 4th of July isn't 'till next weekend. On the 4th of July Plasma ships would arrive and fire Plasma Mortars at chunks of metal in the sky. The result was that there would be a magnificent ball of lights. The boy's mother continued to look at the comet. It struck a tall building. The building exploded... slowly. The top half fell... slowly. The whole building was falling to slowly. She looked up again, and saw fifteen more comets crashing down. 1100, May 1st, 5552 (Military Calendar) Arriving at Planet Georgia.
Two hours passed before seven ships arrived. By that time, however, Georgia was completely burned. The leading ship, and the one in charge of the current reinforcements, was The Jaded Dragon. It was a human/plasma hybrid. The Jaded Dragon carried one MAC, six Plasma Mortars and fifty Archer Missile pods. They were enough to take down two UNSC ships. It looked like one of the Covenant carriers; the only difference was that it was gray. The other two were either Plasma or Human Ships. The remaining four were shield ships. Ships specially designed with a large circular shield, in order to protect their own allies. They were equipped with twenty Archer Pods, and could actually use their shields to ram the enemy. Julio Vargas was the Captain of The Jaded Dragon. "Shielders get into positions." A tech-man looking at a holographic screen said, "Sir-" Julio interrupted, "I don't want any complaints. Charge all the Plasma Mortars and the MAC." "Aye Sir," said the Tech-man who, obviously, irritated. The two other ships charged their weapons as well. After two minutes of waiting the let loose the barrage of plasma mortars and MACs. The strange and unknown ships turned, facing the seven ships. Two of the smaller "P" looking ships went sideways in front of the bigger one. The barrage hit the smaller ships, incinerating them both and only slightly damaged the bigger ship's shields. "Shit!" Vargas yelled. "They have shields too?!" "Looks like it," someone replied. It was the enemy's turn to return fire. Twenty smoldering, dark-blue, comet of, what looked like, Plasma came at them. The Shielders activated their shields. All twenty made contact with the four Shielders. Normally the holes in the shields would cover up in two seconds, but they were acting slower than usual. Vargas noticed that, but he didn't have enough time to ponder about it. The ten ships let lose another barrage. This time the barrage went through, two destroyed a Shielder; went right into it, another hit the Common Wealth. Out of both of the hits Vargas noticed that the explosions were slow, the Shielder exploded, only the explosions were slow, you could actually see it break up-the fire escaping through the cracks, the same thing with the Common Wealth-the shards breaking off slowly. Vargas realized that this was a battle their couldn't win. The barrage was almost every minute, and the ships were getting closer until, the blasts couldn't miss. "All ships move back and fire at will! Don't stop!" yelled Vargas, to the other Captains. It was a trade off of blows, the enemy lost six ships, only three were left, but they destroyed all of The Jaded Dragon's companions. The big ship "landed" on top of the Jaded Dragon, there was a loud "thunk" sound. "Sir, we are being boarded!" yelled a Tech-man. The two other ships came next two the Jaded Dragon. The same Tech-man replied, "Sir two more are boarding!" "Send a boarding party of our own, six teams, three Pelicans," yelled Vargas. Each team had five Marines, and each Pelican could carry ten. "Aye sir!" said the Tech-man. Vargas took a last look at the Georgia planet, it was burned- all black with red cracks around it. Explosions appeared on the planet out of sections that took a hit by the comets. It was too late to evacuate the ship. The surviving Marines and Personnel were crowded in the Bridge. "Before we go," Vargas said after unleashing a whole MA5B clip. "I'm gonna leave our intruders a little gift." He went to a holographic control panel and typed in a few numbers. The AI next to him turned off the safeties. On the screen in front of him read a timer: 10:00. He took another last look at Georgia before he was tackled, then slashed in the stomach. 1140 hours, May 1st, 5552 (Military Calendar) Aboard unknown enemy ship
"This is Boarding Teams One and Two, I repeat: Boarding Teams One and Two, we lost contact with Boarding Team Three and..." Sergeant Thomas stopped and waited five seconds. "Is anyone their... hello...?" Thomas's friend said, "Looks we are alone." "Not to mention it is dark here," said another. "Never thought you'd be afraid of the dark," someone replied. They walked through a hallway, making about five turns until they entered a strange room. Of course it was dark like the hallways and the hanger, or at least they though it was a hanger. Suddenly lights turned on. Everyone went into a "circle" formation and looked up to see three levels, three stories, full of strange creatures. The two teams, confused out of their wildest dreams, unleashed clip after clip and battery after battery. The humans eventually figured out how to replace a dead Plasma battery from a Plasma weapon. Of course the creatures retaliated too. The ones on the first level jumped off and ran towards the teams. One came up slashed a Marine in the face before it got flown away from a shotgun blast. The creatures with, what Thomas thought was also Plasma weapons, continually put down the two teams. One of Thomas's friends, Johnny, was hit by one of the small dark-blue spheres, he screamed in pain, but screamed slowly like his body was slowing down, after a few minutes he screamed at normal speed. The Boarding Teams threw grenades, Plasma and HEs, but it couldn't help. The barrage of dark-blue sphere's kept coming. Thomas ran out of clips and switched to his Needler, he also found one on the ground near one of his comrades. He continually let loose a barrage of needles. The creatures that jumped down were literally covered in needles, but still continued to run at the surviving members of the two teams. Some of the creatures exploded taking down at least five of its brethren. The creatures on the first level still came at them and the ones on the second and third levels continued to fire at them. Soon bodies were crowded together, no room to move and no cover to hide in. The battle had ended. Thomas was picked up by one of the creatures. It looked at him and scratched his arm, very lightly to see if he would twitch. He did and it threw him in a cell, separate from the surviving teammates. Separated from his dead team- no his friends. He knew they wouldn't give them the respect his team deserved. He saw one of the creatures' stuff a body in an airlock. Thomas sat in the corner... crying, heart-broken, alone, and weak.
Fifteen units, Thirty sub-units, The Reclaiming Age Inside The Great Hall
A dark figure walked up the stage to see thousands of his valiant soldiers who have taken the Impurity ship, only to have it explode taking the two lesser ships. The smaller ships had somewhere around five hundred soldiers/workers inside, while the bigger ship had around ten thousand. A terrible loss, thought the dark figure as he continued to look at the eyes of his soldiers. The Hall was silent... very silent. He spoke, "Today we have purified a planet. Thanks to our soldiers," he waved his hands around each one of his soldiers, then continued, "We have completed, but only one of the tasks that our great "Creator" bestowed upon us. A task that those foolish Covenant couldn't even complete." It was, almost, forbidden to Covenant and the figure had a hard time saying it. "We have fought valiantly (A complete lie since his people didn't fight) and through our victory have we brought peace to this planet once his, that will soon have new life on it- new hopes of completing our perfect society, for now our perfect-our pure society are changing it to our Creator's likings- NO!" He said that with tremendous force. "To our Creator's Wishes!" It curled its claws into a fist and held them high. "We will not stop, we will not disappoint our Creator, we will take what he had-away from the dreadful Impurities, from those dreadful "non-pure" animals and to do that we will not only purify the galaxy, but we will purify the whole universe! We will not stop until ever spot; every asteroid is cleaned of the barbaric Impurity stench!" Thousands of hands went into the air, then back down, then up again. It continued into a cycle 'till there was a load cheer. The figure waved his hand for silence and continued, "There are those who have said that this day would never come...What are they to say now?" (Editor's note: sorry that I copied of the Halo 2 Trailer, it's just that it is a really good line!) There was a massive cheer so loud that the Impurity prisoners could hear it. The figure walked away from the stage, and to his servant, an Elite. Once part of the proud Covenant Army, is now a lowly servant for the figure that he hated most. "Feed the Impurities," he said. "Feed them well... for tomorrow they will be interrogated. Oh... and make sure that they don't kill themselves," He gave a vicious look at the, once proud, Elite and their eyes meet. He continued, "If any of them die I will have your head!" He stopped and said in, once again, a calm voice, "And if any of them prove to be useful, spare them, the ones that aren't throw them into the generators. It needs the "fuel". Oh... I almost forgot; and I need you to send a message to the High Council for more reinforcements, preferably the more powerful ships." The Elite replied, "Yes, your Excellency. It will be done." The figure left, and the Elite went to his sleeping quarters, which was basically a bed and a small computer. "My masters didn't choose me just because of my acting, they choose me because of my hacking abilities," He went to his small computer and inserted the disk that his mastesr, the Prophets, or "Great Ones" gave him. In a matter of minutes he had all the information the "Great Ones" needed. He found the blueprints to the special AM (short for Anti-matter, the reason why everything went slow when hit by the dark-blue sphere/comets) and the weak points of every ship in this so-called Armada. "Soon," He said. "Soon the Great Ones will have their information, and soon we will claim what we want... the annihilation of the humans," The Elite gave a quiet laugh. "Soon," He continued, with a smirk on his face, "Soon the plan will be complete, and the glory of the almighty Covenant will be restored!" Six units, Five sub-units, Complete Unit One, The Reclaiming Age About to take of to Slip-Space, near Georgia. The large ship, The Reckoning, entered Slip-space, with fourteen other ships, to their next destination- to the next planet to be purified.
