-- AS TOLD BY HUNTER_KILLER --
1041 Hours, November 6th, 2003(Military Calendar)/ Inside Covenant Cruiser Truth & Reconciliation, Inside HPC
We advanced through the ship, annihilating all that stood in our way. Until the 2nd Floor Hanger. The door opened, and we saw that 9 Golden Elites, 14 Red Elites, and 20 Blue Elites were on the balcony. One of them spotted us, and screamed it's head off at us. "Now time to do what I usually do in these situations," I said. "What?" Mainevent asked, as the ground rumbled. The Covies beginning to stampede towards us. "RUN!" I yelled, and we engaged in a tactical retreat, the Covies right behind us. We ran into the next hall, then the next. Finaly, I stopped cold turkey, and turned. "Take cover!" I yelled, and unloaded my sniper AR into the crowd. Three Blue Elites and a Gold Elite fell. My squads dove behind the pillar and the corners. The empty magazine fell to the ground, and I slammed another one into my AR. The enemies were about 40 feet from me. Several bolts of Plasma flew past me. I pulled the pin on a Frag Grenade, and ran into the face of a Gold one. Two sniper shots took out it's shields, and I literally shoved the Grenade down it's throat. I took a great jump away from them, as the Grenade went off. I was pasted with gold elite bits. A few Red Elites stumbled back, mortally wounded. I quickly took a Plasma Sword from an Elite's body and activated it. Three more Golden Swordsmen jumped me, and I was fighting three on one. A slash right into the throat of one made it two on one. The other Elites rushed by, and engaged my squads. I ducked a swing, and stuck my Sword Clean through it. I pulled it out, and wiped the blood off of my face(it was half mine, half theirs. The last one screamed and charged me. I pulled another Sword, fought and laid the Smackdown on the poor Elite. I could barely stand. This was too much. I began to fall, but managed in the process to make a vertical cut down the spine of a Red Elite, who was preparing to fire on a knocked down Warbrow. A Blue-Armored Body cushioned my fall. I just laid there, overcome by exhaustion, listening to the battle. Finaly, after a full 30 minutes of battle, Elfster, Warbrow, Odin, Main, and Shade all helped me stand. "Good Show," Noted Odin. "That ain't nuthin," I replied, still wobbling on me feet. "There's one thing I don't get..." Noted Elf, and Odin interrupted, "Oh? Only one thing?" "Well, a few, but anyway, why is Spark so intent on stopping us from getting Keyes? He must know if he screws with the story line there's a fabulous chance he himself will get the short straw, not us." "He just wants us chopped into littler pieces than Mnemisis's Paycheck," I responded, then fell again. This time I was barely conscious. They had to drag me the way, and Shade made a few remarks about "Cutting back on the Big Macs". Finaly, they ran in and cleaned out the Control room. The marines ran up the ramp, and held position. "H_K's too much of a burden. I say we leave him here with the Marines wile we rescue Cap'n Keyes," Said Shade. "All the Marines 'l bite the big one, along with anyone with 'em!: Yelled Elf. "Exactly," Said Shade with a smirk. I stood of my own will, and managed to spit, "To smeg with you, yeh ruddy piece of-" However, Odin interrupted me before I could shoot the last word at Shade. "Ok, H_K... calm down. We'll take you, if you promise to walk your own way there." I nodded my head, and a few Grunts ran in. "It's the..." One said, Scanning us, "Devils! AHHHH!!" They ran away. And brought Elites. Lotsa Elites. After all was said and done on the Bridge, and we were sure the area was secure, I put a bandage on a fresh opened wound. "C'mon. I need Covies to kill," I said, and we went to Rescue the Captain! We came across the empty brig. However, weirder things have happened than a Covenant trap. I remember the Battle for the Grav Lift, and always will. So I sent my squad to attack position, and opened the door. We all dived from behind cover, ready to blast Covenant. However, the only thing we found was a Marine in the corner hunched over his Shotgun and holding his hand over a big cut that was bleeding in one of the cells. Elf opened it, and I ran inside. "Marine," I addressed him, and he stood stiffly. I could tell he was fatigued from battle. He attempted to salute me, falling down in failure. "Relax. I'm here to help. We need all the spare hands we can get to rescue Keyes. Can you fight?" "Yes sir!" He said, and joined our little formation. "Hey," Said Odin, "Where'd yeh get that shotgun?" "Some Hunter, said he was a "hacker" and beamed me this weapon. He also told me to watch out for you, that you would be coming soon.
