Gallagher: Alien Attack: By DF-Pliskin and Gallagher
(This is a redone edition of Gallagher's alien attack series, which had a good plot, but was ruined by Gallagher's poor writing abilities. Please enjoy.)
The Master Chief stood in the small briefing room, overlooking his troops. The sergeant next to him, Sergeant Gonococci, stood overlooking the battle plan. "Does it look good, Sergeant?" asked the Chief. Gonococci, the ever calm Italian, nodded. "Yea, sir. It should work out." He said. John looked up to Gonococci because of his record. Gonococci was 55, and had more than 32 years as a specialist working in these kinds of missions where the Chief was leading his men into. The Chief became his overview again. He looked at Corporal David 674, the jokester who was the best shot they had in the platoon. He could shoot the circle in a Lifesaver with a BB-gun. John knew him from the SPARTAN training program. He was a new model, the SPARTAN-III. He had the command abilities that the Chief had, but he was rash, so the Chief made sure he was kept at a middle-rank, just in case. He always uses the MAB7 Battle Rifle and the SR-2700-XDR Light Sniper Rifle. He made eye contact with the specialist on this mission, Lieutenant Jacob Gallagher, an ONI Section I member. John didn't know much about him, only knowing that he prevented a huge Covenant attack on Harvest IV by breaking the Covenant code. The Covenant realized, and stopped the attack. John also knew that Jacob had some unexpected classifications in vehicles, both human and Covenant. He also was the squad's M790 Gauss Chain Gun operator, or the GCG operator. He uses the GCG and a Battle Rifle. He looked to his left, and saw PFC Kerry Lancaster talking to PFC Cliff Janus. Both of them fly the SR7-2060 VTOL ( A.K.A. "Arckangel"), the Pelican's predecessor. It had four M790 GCGs, 2 Hellfire Missile Pods, carrying 100 missiles each. Kerry was first a stealth operator, Cliff a Warthog driver. John knew them well, and they help them train to drive certain vehicles. They were both 35. This made up Blue team, which was the back-up plan. They almost never used blue team, unless they had the specialist, which in this case they did. If that was the case, the rest of blue team would join up with Red Team. In that case, the squad would be a huge fighting force. He looked at the other side of the room, which was a bunch of poster boy soldiers. He looked at the first solider, PFC Jacob Riley. He was a crack shot too, just not as good as David. His hair was combed perfectly, though, and blonde hair was highlighted to perfection. His weapons were the Battle Rifle and the pistol. He checked out the name and looked for Anthony Davis. Anthony Davis was probably the platoon's best soldier. He was checked out for all weapon specification and had the ability to command. John knew this, and made him stick close to him all the time. His weapons were basically anything, but he preferred the MAB7, along with the M689 Light Repeater Assault Rifle. He checked his name off with a smile, then looked at a name. Sergeant Banks. He looked at him, and his young face hid his shame and fortune. When he joined the UNSC, he was the only survivor of three platoons. He was also the sole survivor of four Pelican crashes, and had the highest amount of Purple Hearts. He was shot in the chest twenty-one times with plasma, and was thrown 21 feet in the air because of a mix of plasma and fragmentation grenades. He could drive a Warthog better than any soldier, except for the Master Chief, of course. He uses the MA57, the MAB7, and the M689 Light Repeater Assault Rifle. He smiled, checking his name off. He looked at the last name, and smiled a big grin. PFC Charlie Westburn always tried to get in 182nd Marine Recon Platoon, and never got in. His lack of a left arm made it worse, but it he had the second-best shooting skills in the entire UNSC. He also could drive a Covenant Dropship, since he was once captured by the Covenant. He escaped on a Covenant DP, and drove it into the cruiser's reactor, blowing up the ship while riding the shockwave on that DP. His weapons were the MAB7 and the SR-2700 XDR. "Okay, people. Settle down people-Westburn! Stop throwing paper! Anyway, people, get ready. Your Chief is gonna explain the mission plan." Gonococci yelled. Master Chief cleared his throat and coughed, then began his mission plan. "We recently got word that the Covenant has taken over a small nuclear missile holding plant. These missiles are only chance against those damn Covenant Cruisers from bombing us. In addition, there is rumors that ONI got's a secret project hold up there, and they want that destroyed. That's secondary, though. Only do that if we come across it while we're en-route to our main objective. "My plan is that Red team will sneak in the facility and dismantle the nuclear bombs. Meanwhile, Blue Team will get the dropships ready and begin the process to pick up the nukes, then they will be dropped off at Alpha-Bravo-Zulu-Hector five... five, zero." He said, pointing at a spot on the map next to him." "I know for a fact that some of you will not make it home. And I will send you medals, though they will be kept in your secret dossier. But, remember this, men. All of the men returning from the mission will receive the CMH, and I assure you of that." He said, the men's eyes staring at him. "All right men. Go go!!!!"
CHAPTER 2: INTO THE BREECH AND BACK FROM HELL
Gallagher sat still, his GCG in front of him, set up in case of a hidden Banshee attack. "How it coming, Lieutenant?" asked Anthony. "Good. How you doing?" he asked back. "Good. Hey, wanna know something?" Anthony asked Gallagher. "Sure.". "Well....this is Banks' first parachute drop, and since you got your wings in that class," Anthony pointed to the wings on Gallagher's flight suit, "...you gotta train him." he said, smiling. He looked at Sergeant Banks and smiled. "Hey Sarge" he yelled. "Yea?!" Sergeant Banks yelled back. "This your first?" he yelled back. Banks smiled. "Shut the fuck up, Lieutenant." he yelled back, smiling. Everyone on the Arckangel laughed. "Thirty seconds!" yelled Kerry Lancaster. The Arckangel flew through the Arcturus sky. Since this was a newer model, it had sound damping fields around the ship, making it un-hearable. The cool night breeze made the Arckangel seem like a angel in it's presence above the clouds. "When we land at the drop zone, I'll expect the bodies to be burned." the Chief yelled. "What the fuck does that mean?!" yelled Banks. "You'll see!" the Chief yelled. A green light went up inside the Arckangel, the men knew what to do. "GO! GO! GO!" yelled Gonococci as he jumped out first. "Geronimo!" yelled Banks as he jumped out. "Geronimo!"yelled Gallagher, GCG strapped on his back. "Me!" yelled David as he jumped out.
John floated to Arcturus like a feather, slightly gaining speed. He armed his MAB7 and got his MA57 in the other hand ready. He was good to go, along with the soldier's above him. Below him he saw a small Covenant camp with two prisoners inside a cage. They were being tortured, like animals. The elite guarding them laughed, along with the Covenant around the cage. This drove a increasing anger within John's heart, finally realizing that the arguments that we did something to piss the Covenant off. John found out that the Covenant killed the humans, even the innocent, out of spite. One elite looked up and saw the Chief. The Chief noticed this, and switch the pain on the elite. MAB7 and MA57 bullets flew to the elite, breaking it's shields and piercing it's skin, going to the central nervous system and cutting it out, while the other bullets went to it's brain. The Elite's head exploded under the pressure of the bullets. The other Covenant freaked out and fired into the night sky. They couldn't see the Chief, since he blended in with the sky, along with the other squad members. He landed behind a bunch of Covenant. 4 Grunts were easy pickings for him. He put his MA57 in his backpack and pulled out a dull Airman Survival Knife, swinging it around a bit. He screamed, getting the Grunts' attention. He ran forward, the Grunts scared. He swiped at one, cutting it's oxygen mask and giving it a slow, painful death. He took one by the legs and wacked it into another Grunt. He took the Grunt he wacked into the other Grunt and cut into's it's armor and pulled out a lung, giving the Grunt a painful end. The other two were about to yell when the chief seized them by the masks. He ripped one of the Grunt's mask off while he snapped the other's neck. By this time, he probably gotten the rest of the camp's attention. Banks landed behind the Chief. "Good to see you Chief." he yelled over the fire. He leaned against a wall and fired 20 rounds off with his M689. The Chief looked around. "Where's the rest of you guys?!" John yelled. "They'll be here in....3...2...1..NOW!" he yelled. A Covenant tank came around the corner and fired a volley into a pack of Elites. One elite saw the blast and tried to roll out of the way, but it's hopes were futile, as the volley landed into the elite. The pack disintegrated, and Westburn jumped out of the back of the tank. He waved, then pointed up the road. Two companies were running up the road. Bad-ass elite companies, part of the 119th Human Death Squad Company and the 150th Death Squad Company. One Wraith accompanied the two companies. The rest of the platoon got out of the back of the Wraith. "Get ready men!" yelled Gonococci, banging a elite's head onto a wall, making it bleed. "Look!" yelled Anthony, pointing into the sky. Two lights flew at them, then flew over them. "It's Kerry and Cliff!" Westburn yelled, the outline of the Arckangel now visible. The Arckangel flew forward, then hovered. Numerous plasma blast were deflected off the hull and hit the elite that shot at it. The Arckangel unleashed the pain upon the Elites, firing all but 50 of it's 200 missiles and unloading it's GCG bullets onto the crowd of Covenant. All but 13 Elites out of the 54 survived the bullets and missiles. The Wraith survived too. They ran forward, not expecting much. Westburn jumped up and fired out a round with his SR-2700-XDR. The round penetrated the skull of an Elite, zooming out of the eye socket and getting lodged into another skull of an Elite behind the creature. "Nice shot, Westburn!" yelled David as he let a round loose. It hit a tree, then bouncing off and going through a Elite's head, then bouncing off another tree and going through another Elite's head, then surprising, bouncing off ANOTHER tree and going into the fuel tanks of the Wraith, causing a chain reaction of explosions, eventually causing the tank to explode. "What the hell just happen?!" yelled Westburn, laughing. The Master Chief ran forward, dropping his weapons. The elite did the same and ran forward. The Chief yelled a battle cry and got ready. The elite ran forward, going at's it top speed. The Chief saw this, and, at the last second, side-stepped to the right and stabbed the elite in the back with his dull knife. The Elite must of been a rookie, because it yelped. He turned around, and in one motion and in a 360o turn, stabbed the elite's leg and arm. It screamed, then stopped as the Chief stuck his knife in the back of the Elite's neck. He picked up it's sniper rifle (remember, this is all in one motion) and shot one of the elite's in the neck, the small piece of plasma burning through the elite's skin and burning into a tree. The other Elites weren't stupid, and retreated into the trees and hills of the countryside. The Chief's armor was covered in Elite blood and grunt blood, looking very gruesome, and very evil. He walked over to Westburn and David. "Nice shooting." he said, wiping the blood off his visor. Anthony got off the ground and dusted his armor off. "Where did ya learn that, Chief?" he asked. "You should ask David, I'm not in the mood." he said, coughing. He leaned down on a rock and took off his visor. His face seemed tired, the face of many battles. On one side of his face was a scar, burnt skin in the shape of a crescent moon. He lit a smoke. "Want one?" he asked, cigarette in his mouth, lighter in hand. "No thanks." said Anthony, looking at the scar. The Chief breathed in some smoke and exhaled, the looked at Anthony. "I got that scar on Reach, when I was fighting some Elites." he said. Westburn came up to John, two men next to him. "This is Colonel Jonathan Blas and Major Travis Rosane, of the 145th ODST SAS Recon." he told the Chief. "Can you shoot?" the Chief asked them. "Sir, yes sir!" they said in unison. "Welcome to the 182nd, Colonel Blas and Major Rosane." he said. Banks ran to the Chief, just done trying to find a route. "Chief.....Chief.....Chief!" he tried to yell, out of breath. "Speak up, Banks." he said. "I....I...found a trail....leading...leading to the base!" he yelled, trying to breathe. "Alright men. Let's go. Break over." he yelled. "Aww man! Fuck!" yelled Banks as he tried to lay down. "Let's move, people! Move it! Move it! MOVE IT!
