Part one
White light! White light! Private Davie and his brother flew into a wall as a plasma grenade exploded. General Hopkins didn't like the look of this, partly because he was temporarily blinded. As soon as the light faded he wished he was blind again as two red elites closed in on his recovering team. He quickly cocked his pistol, he wasn't giving up without a fight. Blam, blam. The first elite fell, odd he thought. One of the Davies boys was still alive and kicking. The second elite quickly jumped and swatted Davie with the butt of it's weapon. Click!, click!, "Oh, shit!" cried Hopkins, the slide was hanging uselessly off the action of his weapon. Not a moment to soon the rest of the team hurtled round the corner, AR s blazing and felled the next elite. "EEEEEORGHHHH!" "Whew! Good work men" said Hopkins, as he reloaded his gun "Yikes!" two grunts rounded the corner, saw that the elites were dead and started running. "Oh no you don't!" muttered Hopkins as he threw the empty magazine at the closest grunt for all he was worth. Splat, bright blue blood sprayed into the air. "Hehehehe!" chuckled Symons, "Nice shot sir." "Hows Davie?" asked the general, he'd been rather fond of the twins and hoped that at least one of them would still be intact after the war. "Errrrrrr……" replied Symons as he felt for a pulse, "James has a faint heart beat com'n through, that red thing really took to him, As for Hubert……"
At this point a little background information would be use full; Delta 3 were a small team of marines. They had crash landed their Longsword fighter jet on Halo after the Pillar of Autumn went down. Now they were finding their way through the sub structures to get to Captain Keyes, and hopefully the Masterchief.
"krrrkrkrkrkr…!" radio static, "Captain Keyes to Delta three, anybody read me? Over." "Affirmative Captain, loud 'n' clear. Over." "I want you to take the fastest route up to the surface you can find, then call in a Pellican and get the hell of this ring!" "Yes sir, but, if you don't mind, why?" asked Hopkins "We…. We found something horrible on this ring. There are these… things and basically they're turning every thing into- LISTEN SOLDIER I GAVE YOU AN ORDER NOW CARRY IT OUT!" The Captain yelled so loud that Hopkins dropped the radio. "Errrr… I think we should get out of this structure as fast as possible, boys." After about 10 minutes of running, Davie had woken up, they found a lift, it went up, and up, and up, for what seamed like an age finally it stoped at a short corridor with a door at the end. "Safeties off" whispered Hopkins as the team carefully approached the door. "Pssshhhhorrrr", the door hissed pneumatically as it opened automatically.
It was dark out side and snowing.
"This ring is so damn weird!" exclaimed Johnson, as it had been a dry dessert the day before and they had only moved about 15km. "Well… I guess we'd better radio in a Pellican."
30 Minutes Later….
Black dot appeared on the horizon "Zulu 514 to Delta three, do you copy? Over." "Yes all clear. Ov-!" CRASH! A Banshee fired a fuel rod, with no accuracy, towards the group of marines. "Johnson, your up, GET OVER HERE!" The Banshee hovered for a second then swooped again- Boom, boom, BLAM!, CRASH! Johnson gave the Banshee both SPKR rockets. Just as well, for only one hit. "Everything ok down there?" "Affirmative, just some unfortunate covenant. We'll see you when you land. Over and out." "Errr…! Sir!" said Johnson, "Don't Banshees usually work in pairs?" "Why would you say that son…..!?" In the all the 6 years private Gregory John Johnson had been under Hopkins command he had only seen him look genuinely worried once; That was just now. And then it hit him, no, not the full relevance of this statement, but a fuel rod in the back.
Green light this time. Over the last couple of hours being blinded was becoming a trend in General Hopkins life. Hopkins waited for his vision to return before he even bothered to get up. When he did he found himself looking into the slightly charred face of Private Johnson. Snow was still falling He coughed, rose to his knees, SPLAT, and immediately fell down again.
Black light, if it's possible. Ok this isn't funny thought Hopkins. He opened his eyes sat up and found himself in a covenant holding cell. "Hmmmmmm….." he thought aloud as he put together his broken mind. The second Banshee took out his squad then the driver got out and was checking the bodies when Hopkins got up, and there for received a smack on the head. But why didn't the elite just kill him there, instead of carting him back? All these questions can be answered later, as, at that moment the Masterchief burst into the room, assault rifle rattling, and killed all the covenant guards and then proceeded to open all the cell doors.
Yes, this is the part in the game, The Truth and Reconciliation.
From here you know what happens, The Masterchief gets them all on a ship then they storm death island and leave the Chief there and proceed to get turned into flood zombies and then incinerated by the explosion of Halo.
