Ramblings of a Crumbling Man
We're broken, all broken,
Says the crumbling Man,
Fix me up, fix me, as best as you can.
All unspoken, unspoken,
Says the crumbling Man,
Beat down to one, our faithful homeland.
Now lift me up, sir,
As he offers a hand,
His body now fading like wind unto sand.
Now talk to me, sir,
A very subtle command,
His words float unheard among distorted land.
Where did they go?
Thinks the crumbling Man,
The centuries, decades, they no longer stand?
The world passed by,
In the blink of an eye?
Time's been defied,
And here I imply?
Sitting shy of the sky,
Soon we all fly.
With thoughts diverted,
The crumbling Man sighs,
His mind converted but his body hath died.
He can only think that all hope is gone,
That no one can aid a Man, withdrawn.
Now that the roots are forever,
And the destruction endeavours,
The blood will surely cover the dawn.
Show me the path,
The crumbling Man tries,
But his mouth is sewn and pain laughs at His cries.
Give me the strength,
The crumbling Man tries,
But his stomach is eating away at His lies.
The fabric itself,
Splits and its screams,
Drowns out the noise,
Breaks bloody seams.
The Man is gone,
Faded away,
All dust and bone...
No more to say.
