"There is a legend, written down in the Black Library and handed down between the Farseers of the Biel-tan. The tale of Khaine, his resurrection, and his epic battle against the brother of the god who consumed his brothers...It is depicted that, it will only occur within the halls of a world outside their own, and that it will be aided by enemies and friends of the Farseer who initates the legend. It is written that the door to infinte power will be accessed to the race they help that day, and that they will learn the secrets of the universe...However, it does state that the ally of the Farseer who makes the initiation rite will die. The question lies, who is it?" --- Brother-Captain Ulia Hendar, of the 3rd Salamanders Space Marine Chapter.
John stood tall as he watched, six oddly shaped stones arranged in an order around a circle. The Eldar Extrachs stood near him, watching as the Farseer stood in the middle with her hands opened. Swirling white energy particles wrapped around her as she stood tall, like John, muttering incantations. The Warp Spider Extrach looked worried, and John noticed this.
"What is the matter?" He asked.
"Your Imperium friends have caught the attention of Khrone. He will manifest himself on the battlefield...But what we're summoning...I do not think we will win, John." He said, holding his weapon stead-fast. John was still confused on what was happening, but then it was answered. He watched as the energy turned to beams, each connecting to the stones. White light eminated from the stones, as a mix of vibrate colours wrapped their waves around the light. John shielded his eyes, but then dropped the arm as the light disappeared and the light turned into feet. A giant pair of feet. Soon, legs developed upwards to a body. John felt a small headache ping within his forehead, as he watched the oddly armoured eight stories tall Eldar being grip a sword that was at least two stories tall. Blood dripped from his hands, and as he looked up only one word came to his mind. 'Khaine.'
Krull swung his Warhammer onto Gabriel's Power Sword, watching the Force Commander carefully for an opening to strike upon. However, Gabriel has fought with many Chaos Lords before, and did not give him such an opening. A quick jab, Krull had barely enough time to stop the attack by grabbing Gabriel's arm. Pulling, then quickly pushing, he shoved him off his body with his foot and watched as he rolled on the ground. Gabriel's sword rolled away from his hand, as Krull stood over him with his Warhammer raised. With a roar, he screamed out as he swung down...
His body flailed to Gabriel's left, hitting the ground hard before his body began to bleed. Huge bolter rounds were in his back, looking horribly painful. Gabriel looked up to see a Dreadnaught, and its drop pod next to him fifty yards away. The large machincal war machine bowed, as more and more dropped from the sky.
"Sergeant Keran Vasil. Died in the Third War of Armageddon, Force Commander." He said, turning his body around and letting loose bolters from his cannon mounted on his arm towards the sea of Chaos Marines. Screams were heard, as the Dreadnaughts followed suit.
"It is good to see a friendly ally, Sergeant. Lead your Dreadnaughts into battle." He ordered, standing up. He watched as the seven Dreadnaughts, along with the Imperial Guard armoured vehicles, began to fire their weapons onto the sea, a chuckle escaping his lips. However, that disappeared in totatily when he watched the ground below the majority of the Chaos forces open up to the fire and mantle below the crust. A huge figure, with the head of a falcon but with curved horns like a ram that muscles adorned his red toned body, jumped out of the hole while his huge bat-like wings took to flight. He was at least nine stories tall, with him holding a Warhammer nearly the entire length of his waist down to his feet.
"I am Khorne!" He screamed, looking down as the Space Marines, the mighty and supposedly fearless Marines, quivered against the power of the Daemon. He laughed, roaring out belts of his rather frighenting laughter.
Of course, that's when he stopped when he saw his only challenge, the one thing that the Chaos god thought broken. His beak formed unnaturally to a smile, as he muttered words from his throat.
"Khaine..."
