How Halo met Starwars Chapter 1:The First Sighting

The First Sighting
Enrika 'Tanamee sat at the security controls, wondering when his replacement would be here. The Divine Intervention, posted at the Threshold system in the ruins of the divine ring, was bound for a long period of boredom. Having been on the ship that was left as a guard while the rest of the fleet, along with High Charity, went to meet the Prophet of Regret. 'Tanamee stretched in his chair and thought of his home on High Charity. Ever since he was placed on this deadbeat ship, he thought often of his humble abode on the planetoid.
'Tanamee joined the Covenant army when he was just starting to make a living for himself. He went through the academy and graduated with high honors. But even with recommendations given by the instructors of the academy, he started out just like anyone else. He started out as a fresh rookie that thought rationally and hardly listened to orders. But as he went up the ranks and became a Lesser Field Commander, he was seriously wounded in a battle that took him out of the service for almost a year. During that time he became demoted and was placed on the Divine Intervention.
So 'Tanamee shook his head and went through basic scanning protocol. Half way through the scan of the system, he spotted an interception vessel that just came into view. 'Tanamee activated the long range scopes to get a better look. It was small, grey, and looked like an orb floating between two metal plates. The computers tried to identify it, but it wasn't in their records. 'Tanamee felt nervous and, not wanting to get in trouble if it was some new human scouting ship, called the Ship Master. "Yes, what is it." the Ship Master Oruta 'Selkatee's bored voice sounded over the com link. "Sir," said 'Tanamee with a slightly anxious tone, "I've picked up an unidentified vessel that just entered the area." "Let me see it," said 'Selkatee. 'Tanamee sent the visual to the Ship Master and wondered if it was a bad idea to tell the Ship Master. "Hmm, it doesn't show in any records we hold," said 'Selkatee. "Send a few seriph fighters over to escort this ship to our shuttle bays," 'Selkatee said and channel went dead.
'Tanamee, who was used to ordering around Elites, had never actually ordered any star fighters before. So he called up his friend Donra 'Fastanee who was a seriph fighter squad leader. "'Tanamee, what news from the navigation post!" said 'Fastanee with his regular witty greeting. "Ha, ha very funny," said 'Tanamee in reply. "But to the point, I have orders from the Ship Master himself to send a few fighters out to escort an unidentified vessel at this co-ordinates. Care to take the job?" "Love to," said 'Fastanee with enthusiasm, "I'll get my squad ready to take off and blow this ship to hell." 'Tanamee chuckled to himself, "No friend, we're supposed to take this one alive." 'Fastanee always loved a good dog fight, even when he was a child. He would tell stories of his father letting him drive his banshee, and saying that once he had accidentally destroyed a statue of a long past hero with the fuel rod cannon while pulling stunts in the air. "Very well, as the Ship Master commands it, but if I had it my way the damn thing would destroyed before you could say 'parasite'." Again 'Tanamee chuckled, "If you always had your way the entire Covenant fleet would be in ruins. Go, and try to keep your finger off the trigger!"
So 'Fastanee left with some of his squad and 'Tanamee kept an eye on them through his view screen. As they flew towards the new ship, two bright green beams of light shot through space and struck the ship on the far left and blew it to dust. "What the hell!?" 'Fastanee shouted through the com channel. The seriph fighters broke formation and the unidentified ship followed after one of them."Damn thing thinks we're hostile," one of the pilots said, "If it wants it, I'll give him hell." "No," 'Fastanee said "We have to take this one alive." While this conversation was taking place, the ship, which 'Tanamee now called the 'orb', had cleared the system and disappeared. "Flighty little bastard didn't even dare to take us on," 'Fastanee said with a rueful tone. 'Tanamee agreed, but wonderd what the orb was, and where it came from.
How Halo met Starwars Chapter 2: Things Get Started

Things Get Started
Jonas Telmarine, Commodore of the star destroyer fleet that was within 2 light years of Threshold system, was sitting in his command chair, looking out into space through the glass. His particular star destroyer was part of a small fleet of ten including itself. They had been sent on this mission by the Emperor himself, saying that with the experimental 'super' space drive that the empire has been working on for quite some time now, he would be able to expand his empire to other galaxies. Nobody thought the super space drive would work, but when the ten star destroyers that were picked to be on the maiden voyage ended up in some unknown space they supposed it worked..They also surmised they ended up in some different galaxy by reports of a scout saying that he saw a ship that resembled a bugs carcass and was attacked by teardrop shaped fighters.
So now that they knew they had entered a different galaxy and had encountered an intelligent species, they wondered how they would get back. They hadn't worked all the bugs out on the super space drives apparently, because theirs shut down immediately after exiting 'super space' and wouldn't start up again. Fortunately they thought ahead and placed a regular hyper drive on the ships incase they were stuck there. They had also been issued new tie fighters with a small distance hyper drive for scouting missions and super laser cannons with three times the destructive capability.
As Jonas let the new information of a new intelligent species with space ships slosh threw his brain, he got a transmission from one of his neighboring star destroyers who was under the leadership of Joseph Telmarine, his twin brother, "So Jonas," said Joseph with a grim look on his face, "Should we go to the go to this ship and see what our competition is, or wait for Lord Vader for his aid and counsel." Before the fleet had left on their maiden voyage Lord Vader told them that if they were gone for more than 1 week, his super star destroyer and fifty other regular star destroyers would come to try and find them. Jonas, being in charge of the fleet, would pretty much decided their fate. "Well," said Jonas after much deep thinking, "If the reports are correct and there is only one ship, I think we can hazard a look at this new alien vessel." So the word was spread round the fleet and they all jumped into hyper space.
It had been a cycle since the sighting of the mysterious 'orb', and everyone was still curious. 'Tanamee had spoken to many fellow Elites about this encounter and the entire ship had accepted the title of 'orb' as the name for these ships, and the Ship Master was very good to 'Tanamee and offered him the rank of Sub Ship Master under him since the previous one had taken off with 'Fastanees fleet of fighters and was the one that was blown to pieces. 'Tanamee graciously accepted, and found that things were finally looking up.
Since there was no armor of Sub Ship Master on board, and nothing of higher rank fitted 'Tanamee, they settled the matter by engraving the rank mark of Sub Ship Master on his blue armor. He had just stepped into the bridge when an alarm went off. He stepped onto the control platform and looked into the center view screen. Ten star ships had appeared out of no where right in the outskirts of the planet. They were large, grey, and shaped like roughly hewn daggers. "They're deploying interceptors," called an Elite that had taken 'Tanamees place. "Well, we shall have to send out our own then," Ship Master 'Selkatee said with a tone of hatred, "Send out our own fighters, and see if they're any good with a dog fight."
Within minutes of giving the order it was carried out. Scores of seraph fights were speeding out into the blackness of space to the meet the orbs of the strange fleet. Among those fighters was 'Fastanee, who finally got his wish of trying to shoot at something that would shoot back.'Fastanee darted out with the rest of his squad and set the controls to get ready for a fight. He saw the little orbs flying toward them and thought he might as well take the first shot. He picked one that was nearer the front, took aim, and fired. The orb's shields flickered, but did not go down. He shot twice more and finally it was turned to molten slag. "'Shoot fast my brethren," 'Fastanee spoke into the com link, "These orbs are more powerful than expected, make sure we send as many as we can to heck!" The orbs decided to take action and fired charged laser blasts in waves. Three seraphs went down in the volley, but by then the two fighter groups met in the middle.
How Halo met Starwars Chapter 3: A Different 'Variety'

A Different 'Variety'
Green leader was one of the first tie fighters to make contact with the enemy, witch when he first saw them named them 'rain'. But when he got one behind him, he barely thought them as harmless as rain. Pulling all sorts of evasive maneuvers, he could not shake the now renamed 'flame'. Then it started to shoot. Great globs of what he could only guess were plasma, but of a different kind than he knew, were being thrown at him vary rapidly. Finally he'd had enough of it and did a back flip.
'Fastanee was amazed that it took so long for his enemy to escape his pursuit, and at last did the maneuver that he was waiting for. 'The humans have better piloting skills that these creatures,' 'Fastanee thought as he slowed down so he could again pursue the orb. After the orb had completed its turn, he shot fiery plasma at it and turned it into nothing but a heap of molten slag drifting in space. After melting the orb, he went on to find a new target, and those were not in short supply.
After about fifteen minutes the battle was starting to become one sided. Even though the tie fighters had upgraded weapons and were very fast, the seraphs were just as fast, almost as good as weapons, but were better pilots. The minute a seraph was destroyed, a tie fighter was turned to slag. Soon the ties started to retreat with the seraphs hot on their tails. In the end a score of seraphs and a score and a half had been destroyed.
Unknown to the Covenant, the Imperial fleet had sent out boarding craft half way through the dogfight. By the time the tie fighters were fleeing, the boarding craft had made it to the Divine Intervention and started to engage the crew of the ship. Fortunately the Ship Master had been expecting this so had all the crew fitted for battle.
When the first Storm Troopers had entered the ship they where horrified to find that the inhabitants of the ship were monstrous creatures of large and small stature. The first kind of Covenant they faced where Grunts. They laughed at the small creatures and shot them dead. They found out the hard way that the Grunts breathed methane. The next kind they encountered where Jackals and they weren't impressed, though they marveled at the shield devices they had.
At last they found something that really horrified them. Elites and Brutes. Both monsters where about 7 ½ feet tall. Elites possessed strength beyond twice the norm for their kind, Brutes were three times, both where fast and agile, and ,to the humans dismay, very intelligent. Brutes were tearing people apart left and right, Elites slashing and burning their way through the lines of men. The humans found that their blaster guns had little effect on the Burners, as they called the Elites, but worked quite well in force on the Brawlers, as they called the Brutes.
While a large group of Storm Troopers were creeping along a corridor they discovered a group of 4 Hunters. On first sight they were terrified. They tried shooting the beasts to no avail, their blaster shots scorched the armor and did nothing more. After being threatened the Hunters charged and took out half the Troopers in that charge. After another quarter went down the Storm Troopers found the exposed spaces and exploited them. Only one Hunter went down from the combined fire of the Troopers, after that the rest were melted by the Hunters' fuel rod canons.
The Covenant were surprised that the new force were naught but humans. They wondered why the humans had changed the design of their ships and where they got the new laser technology. They were also intrigued by the new armor they had. At first they thought that they had more Demons to unleash in a white armor, but when they figured out that they were not so vicious as the Demons they smiled at themselves and fought with a new vigor, much to the fear of the human newcomers. In the end the boarding craft plan had utterly failed.
Enrika 'Tanamee drew a deep breath after he dis-activated his energy sword. While walking down a corridor he came upon a pair of the new humans. The humans, seeing only one of him, started to open fire on him. Enrika was amazed that the humans laser rifles had so little effect on their shields. He drew out his energy sword, slashed one and cut the others arm off. He did not slay both because he knew from his tactical training class that when facing a new enemy, find out as much about them as you can. He took his prisoner and took him to the containment cells for questioning. 'Tanamee pushed his captive into a chair that automatically bound him with beams of energy.
"Who are you and who do you work for?" 'Tanamee asked. "I am Clone 25349871, I work for the Galactic Empire," the clone said in an almost automated fashion. Puzzling, "What is this Galactic Empire that you speak of?" "It is the governing force in my galaxy, and it claims this pitiful one and all those who dwell in it," said the clone with grim smirk on his face. "We shall see," said 'Tanamee. "You have now made an enemy with the Covenant, the ruling force in this galaxy. Now go, and tell your commanding officer what you humans have dragged yourselves into." With that 'Tanamee deactivated the restraints and threw the human out into the hall, where he made his way to a boarding craft, flew to the lead star destroyer and gave this message to Jonas Telmarine.

Deal with the Devil
Captain McKarthney yawned as he stepped on to the bridge. He was leading a small expedition to scout out the area that the Master Chief and his companions had described when they returned. Upon receiving the coordinates, Lord Hood had ordered a small fleet to investigate the area designated 'The Holy Zone', as was the nick-name given it by the large marine dispatch on the mission. McKarthney sat down in the captains chair as he called up the ship's AI.
"Yes Capin'?", said the scruffy looking hologram. Fox, the ship's AI, took the appearance of a poverty stricken civilian and spoke with a Brookline like accent. He was a somewhat older model of AI and was frowned upon by other captains because of his ungroomed look. McKarthney didn't mind, and was quite fond of Fox for his casual take on things.
"Good morning Fox," said McKarthney, "Give me a status check, and see how the Spartan is doing." Due to the large possibility that the Holy Zone was swarming with Covenant, McKarthney was given a Spartan to give the men moral as well as to tip the scale. The Captain would have liked to have 117, but he had more pressing matters and he had just come from there. So McKarthney was given a Spartan to give the men morale as well as to tip the scale. The Captain would have liked to have 117, but he had more pressing matters and he had just come from there. So McKarthney was given Spartan 104, when they where leaving the Captain swore Chief was calling 104 'Fred'.
"All right Capin' 'ere's your check," said Fox in his usual lazy manner, "Ship's runnin' fine, and the Spartan is just comin' out o cryo." "Good, how long till we reach the destination?" "ETA in 'bout five minutes Capin'." "Excellent," said McKarthney. Sticking to the Cole Protocol, the fleet had to zig-zag threw the colonies making travel heck. Over the next few minutes, the bridge crew filtered in and took positions, giving status reports and charging weapons, incase there really were Covenant there.
"Comin' out o Slipspace now Capin'," Fox said. When the inky blackness of Slipspace smeared away McKarthney looked on in awe. On the view screens there were grey, dagger-like ships shooting at one Covenant ship with a large dog fight going on in-between.
"What the hell is going on here?", said McKarthney, gazing at the spectacle before him.
"It appears to be a space battle sir," Fox said with his usual wit. "I know that, but what are those daggers and why are they shooting at that Covenant ship?"
"It would seem to me that the dagger ships do not like the Covies, and plan to make a big ruckus 'bout it," Fox said. "Oh do shut up," McKarthney barked. "Give me a com link with the dagger ships and we'll see what the hell is going on here."
On board the lead star destroyer the com-tech shouted, "Sir we have a new signal coming through." "Send it in," Commodore Telmarine said. A little blue hologram person appeared on one of the arm rests of Telmarines chair. The man was wearing a uniform of some kind, was slightly balding up front, and was average to tall height.
"This is star destroyer New Findings, who are you and what is your business?" Telmarine said with his crisp uniform manner he developed over his last decade as an officer.
"Well that's exactly what I want to know, and what the hell is a star destroyer?" The little blue man said.
"Well, I am Commodore Telmarine. I am leading a fleet of standard Empire battle cruisers called 'star destroyers'. We are on a mission to investigate a new galaxy for the benefit of the Empire," said Telmarine.
"Well, that's one fancy story you've cooked up there. To give you my fancy story I am Captain McKarthney, captain of the UNSC battle cruiser, the New Orleans. My fleet is here to scout out a potentially dangerous area. Now tell me this, what is this 'Empire' you keep referring to?"
"It is the ruling force in our galaxy and has come to claim this one as its own." Telmarine replied. "Hmm. I'll be back with you in a moment," and with that, the so called 'Captain McKarthney' disappeared.
After his talk with the 'Commodore Telmarine', McKarthney had some real thinking to do. He realized this as an opportunity to make a deal that would ultimately decide the outcome of the human race. If he went with the 'Empire', the humans would be more than powerful enough to defeat the Covenant. But also with that decision would come possibly dangerous repercussions. Who ruled this Empire? What was their basis of government? There were too many unknowns and not enough time.
But if he went with the Covenant, the war would end and twenty five years of fighting would come to an end. Either way they would make huge technological advances and would spread considerably. While pondering threw this the Covenant ship finally noticed them and gave them a ring.
"Greetings humans," said the golden Elite who appeared on the view screen. "Hello, uh, Covenant," McKarthney said hesitantly. "Yes, let us skip the formalities," growled the Elite, "As you have seen, the dagger ships are hostile and threaten to over take our galaxy. We have seen the scum in battle and are not very formidable. Let us join forces and slay these heretics like the dogs they are," said the Elite, almost with a preaching tone.
At that moment Spartan 104 entered the bridge. McKarthney, knowing the intelligence of the Spartans, tolled the him of his predicament. After a moment of thinking, 104 said, "Go with the Covenant." And with that, the deal that would later be called the 'Deal with the Demon' was made.
