Covenant Invasion! Part One
Date: 12 June 2003, 12:31 PM
Note to Readers: Hello! This is my first story, hope you like it! (^_^)
Scematics: All three Iowa Class ships Weapons: 7 Laser Lance Cannons 800 Sharpshooter Missile Pods 3 Proton Trorpedo Launchers Defense: I-27 Ion Sheild 15 in. thick Derelium Armor Plating Support Craft: 30 Longsword Fighters 4 Pelican Dropships 7 Caravan Cargo Shuttles Location: Sol System, near Earth Time: 2551
The battleships Lone Wolf, the Freedom, and the Intrepid were parked in high orbit of Earth. ---ON THE BRIDGE OF THE WOLF--- Admiral Jonathan Starblade began to wonder of the odds. Three Iowa Class Battleships versus the ENTIRE Covenant Fleet. Pretty slim for the Humans. "Leautenant," Jonathan addressed the Communications Officer. "Sir?" He replied. "Open a channel to the other ships." "Aye, sir." He began working his console. "Channel open." He also picked up a speaker that would send his voice through the ship. "Attention, this is Admiral Starblade speaking. All personel, prepare to engage the Enemy. Repeat, all personel, man Battle Stations. Starblade out." Sirens began. Crewmen were ether running around, looking for a station, or pressing buttons and typing at a console. Suddenly, hundreds of Covenant Dropships and Banshees decended twords the UNSC ships. He opened another comm. channel. "All pilots, report to fighters, and lift off! We can't let the Covenant get Earth!" The ships got closer... Closer.... So close the crew could see the Covie pilots... 90 Longswords intercepted the Covies. "Mr. Obuto," The Admiral addressed the Tactical Officer this time. "Yes?" "Can we lock the Sharpshooters onto the Covenant ships approaching?" "Yes, sir..." "Forward Batteries, Fire as she Bares!" 80 Missles hurtled twords the Covies. Explosions zoomed around most of the smaller craft. Then, Jonathan noticed something. "Umm.... Starblade to Alpha One." Alpha One was the callsign of the Wolf's First Officer; Commander Lance McDouglas. "Alpha One here," Came the crackling reply over the comm. channel. "Lance. Only the Fighters and Dropships are attacking. Why aren't the Covenant Battleships and Cruisers mixing it up?" "I have no clue. Although it would seem that they are overconfident." "Yep. Hows it down there?" Lance's radio was almost flooded with static. "Heavy---- from all side--- can't hold--- on..." "Crap!" Lance's radio went dead. "Report!" Jonathan almost screamed at his Science Officer. "Sensors indicate the Commander's Longsword has been hit by Plasma fire." "Now, we can only pray he makes it down to Earth." ---AT THE SCENE OF THE BATTLE--- Dropships, Banshees and Longswords alike were swerving much from enemy fire. Lance's Fighter was spewing smoke. It was swerving violently too. In the Cockpit, alarms were going off, and consoles were filled with electric explosions and static. "I'm Going down! Repeat: I'm going down! Mayday! MAYDAY! Crap, my radio's down!" His ship entered the Stratoshpere... ---ON THE BRIDGE OF THE WOLF--- "Report, Ensign." "Aye, Admiral. Most of the Enemy dropships where eliminated before they got to the stratoshpere. However, 74 made it to Earth." Jonathan let out a sigh. "So, the battle is lost..." "Negative, sir! Oh no, not over! The Marines on Earth could use a hand..." "But," Put in his Tactical Officer, "Four Enemy ships are prepairing to glass the planet!" "Helm!" "Sir, way ahead of 'ya!" The Wolf Aproached two of the ships, the other two were close by. "Admiral, reading massive buildups in the Covenant's weapon systoms on scanners! We must hurry!" "Mr. Obuto, ready the Laserlance Cannons." "Aye, ready to fire, sir." "Now! Fire all Laserlances!" Several beams of proton energy spiked twords a ship. The enemy hadn't thought to charge sheilds, just throw all-except minimal life support-energy to waepons. BOOM! The ship split apart with a mighty explosion! "The Buildups are stronger!" "Mr. Obuto, lock Sharpshooters on the next one!" "Fireing lock established. We can fire 100 now." "Make it so. FIRE!" 100 missiles split appart that one. "The energy levels are critical! I'd give Earth 10 seconds!" The ship manuvered to her next victim. "9..." "Can't get a firing lock, that energy's disrupting Main Fire Control and the Targeting Computer!" "7..." "6..." "Do something! NOW!" "I can't..." "3..." "2..." "1..." Two giant beams of Plasma streamed twords Earth. "Noooo!" The entire crew seemed to yell, simultainously. They got nearer.... They exploded on the Europiean and North American Continants. However, they engulfed the world. "Millions... just.... gone....." The Admiral was in a trance. "Earth... it's...." Said another. "Been glassed..." The science officer finished. "WAIT!" The Science Officer yelled. Everyone listened. "Sensors read 2,000,000 Human Lifesigns on Planet Earth! They didn't glass it, just hit it hard!" The whole crew cheered. Mr. Obuto smirked. "Sir, weapons are back up...." "Ok, do it." He returned the smirk. 2 seconds later, the two Covie ships in orbit where gone. "Now, load all the marines into our Pelicans, instruct the other two to do the same, and send 'em down!" The Battle for Earth had begun... "Aye, aye!" Said the Tactical and Comm. Officers at the same time, then went about their task. Jonathan walked into the lift with Mr. Obuto... ---IN THE LAUNCH BAY--- Mr. Obuto was reviewing the Marines before sending then off. "The fate of Earth... may very well be in your hands..." He said. Jonathan walked up. Mr. Obuto explained to the curious Marines. "Admiral Starblade has decided to come with us." All the Marines saluted, and one said, "Sir! Jhonston, Rico, 1st Class Private reporting!" "You can call me Jonathan, Rico. All my friends do." He extended his hand for a handshake. The Private acepted the shake. "Okay..." His voice trailed for a second, like all his training was stopping him from saying... "Jonathan." He smiled, like he had just got something off his shoulders, which was quite possible. They loaded into the Pelicans, and were off to save Earth! TO BE CONTINUED.......
Ah, the power of cheese. Yes, this might be cheesey, but it is my first time.....
Covenant Invasion! Part Two
Date: 15 June 2003, 3:07 AM
Note to Readers: I know, I should put time between my stories... oh well... (@_@)
Location: Space near Earth, Sol System Time: 2551 The Pelicans approached Earth. "In the pie, five by five." The pilot said. "Yah, well the pie's fried!" Jonathan said to the young Pilot. "Copy, sir!" The dropships speeded towards Earth. "Entering stratosphere," He said. "Okay, marines, look alive! We got a Planet to save!" The Sergeant yelled. The dropship began to shake. The Pelicans entered the atmoshpere, and the shaking stopped. Without warning, two Banshees dropped in behind them. A bolt of Plasma shook the ship. Then two more did like. "Whose at the Tail Gun?" An agitated Admiral asked anyone who could answer. "Ummmm..." A Marine looked back to see. "No one!" "Crap!" Jonathan took off his buckle. The vibration from another shot of Plasma threw him to the ground. "The ship won't take much more!" The pilot noted. Jonathan got to his feet. "Awwww...." He rubbed his head with his right hand, and quickly regained his wits. He sprinted to the tail gun. The Admiral grinned menacingly. A full clip, He thought. A clip of a Pelican's Tail Gun was 700 rounds. But, it WILL go fast if you aren't careful. He took aim, and squeezed the trigger with all he had. When he let go of the trigger, all the bullets were gone, and so was a Banshee. "Nice shot, sir!" Said a Marine. "Well, Yah. But, all the bullets are gone!" "Reload sir, Reload!" A frightened Marine said. "Right." The Tail Gunner took up another clip. The pilot of the other Banshee was in a rage about losing his fellow in the other craft. His ship's weapons let out a burst of Plasma, then another, and another in rapid succession. Thanks to the Pelican pilot's skill in Evasive Maneuvers, one hit. Jonathan was about to say: 'If we live, you getting a medal, mister' to him, but the Pelican shook again, and Jonathan dropped the clip of Ammo, sending it hurtling to the Ground, 1,000 feet down. "Awwww... man!" "What, sir?" "You know that Ammo Clip that was the last one for this gun?" "Yah, what 'bout it?" "I JUST DROPPED IT 1,000 FEET!!!!!" The Admiral exclaimed. "Well... that's not good." "OK, Marines. I'm out of Ammo. Use your Assault Rifles to bring down that Covenant!" The pointed towards the Banshee. "Yes sir! Well, what are ya waiting' for!? Tea!? Move out, Marines!" The Sarge said. All the Marines abandoned their buckles, lined up, and unloaded their weapons. In less than a minute, the Banshee was no more. The Humans shouted three cheers for victory, then returned to their seats. Then, Jonathan got his first look at Battleground Earth. Smoke and explosions on every scale, including nuclear, where everywhere. It looked like the Apocalypse was upon them. The flight of Pelicans approached the ground in (Well, used to be) a big city, weaving around and over (What was left of the) buildings. "Where now, Admiral?" Asked the Marine who had noted the lack of a Tail Gunner. "Well, I think we should-" A voice crackled over the radio, along with the sounds of Gunfire, Plasma, Explosions, and Screams of pain from both sides. "This is Fire Team Delta, 32nd Earth Defense Division, to any and all UNSC personnel! Mayday! Mayday! Repeat, any UNSC respond! We are under heavy fire! HELP!" Jonathan ran up to the console. He said, "This is Admiral Starblade of the UNSC Lone Wolf. I hear you. We are in 12 Pelican Dropships heading into the Northwest corner of the City. We are gona' provide evac and assistance. What are your coordinates?" "Thank God! Evac! Our coordinates are... Ummmm... 709, mark 882 on the South corner. Hurry, Please!" "Ok, ETA, 4 minutes." The turned off the radio. "Pilot." He said. "Yes, sir. What?" "Set a course to these coordinates. 709, mark 882 on the south side of the City. Also, radio the other Pelicans. We're goin' in!" "Yes, sir!" The Pilot responded. He then set about doing it. Suddenly, several more Banshees dropped in the group, and drove all but 2 Dropships away. The Banshees left just as suddenly. "Crap." Jonathan said, as his was one of the two not drove either into the ground or drove away. "They had air support..." Suddenly, they were there. Several groups of Marines were fighting... Covenant. Lots and lots and lots of Covenant. "We're approaching the LZ, it's gona be hot!" The pilot said over the radio. "Touchdown! Hit it, Marines!" Gunfire came from both Pelicans as the reinforcements arrived. Jonathan Put on a Battle Helmet, and took an Assault Rifle and several clips of ammo for it. He also took three grenades, one with writing on it:
WELLCOME PRESENT FOR COVIES
He got out, ready for battle...

Covenant Invasion! Part Three
Date: 17 June 2003, 11:38 AM
Note to Readers: Hello! The Story is Back! BWAHAHAHA... Um... enjoy. (^.^)
Location: Chicago, USA, Earth, Sol System, Alpha Quadrant Time: 2551
Jonathan jumped out of the dropship. Immediately, his Battle Helmet picked up motion: Masses of Yellow and Red blobs. He saw a group of three Marines, pinned down by six Jackals behind a car, which was already burnt several times by hot Plasma. Jonathan managed to get at their rear. He took out a Grenade, said a very short prayer, and let fly. The explosion was satisfying for Jonathan. When he looked up, only one Jackal was left, with it's shields down. "Who did that!?" Came it's weird voice. "Me." Jonathan answered. The Covenant soldier turned, but not quickly enough. Jonathan had his Assault Rifle at ready. He immediately pumped the Jackal with ten rounds, killing it. The Marines came out of cover, and confronted the Admiral. "Sir," Said one, "Excellent Shooting!" Jonathan grinned. "Thanks." He stooped, and picked up a Plasma Rifle. It was full! He also picked up four Plasma Grenades. "Please, no! No! NO! AGGHHHHHH!!!" A voice came from around the curb. Jonathan rounded it. The sight he got was not good. Four Marines and another person, with only UNSC Naval Clothes, were against an alley, facing two Elites. One had a Plasma sword, the other had a needler. The Covenant were stepping over two dead Marines as they advanced. Another one was felled as the Plasma Sword sliced and diced. "Stop!" Yelled Jonathan. "Who said that?" Came an Elite's voice. "Me." He stepped around the corner. He Charged up the Plasma Weapon he just got, let go of the trigger, and a huge burst shattered the one's shields who had the Plasma Sword. He dropped the overheated weapon, and pulled out his Assault Rifle. Twenty rounds went into the Covenant, and it fell before the lead onslaught. He took a Plasma Grenade. He cocked his arm, and threw! It stuck to the Panicking Elite, like the Covenant Grenade was rumored to stick to humans, wiping out groups in a time. BLAM!!!! The explosion rattled the Covie, wiping out it's shield. His Plasma Rifle was cool again, so he picked it up, and fired four rapid bursts. The screaming invader died from his own hot Plasma, poetic justice, as it seems. The survivors ran up to him. He recognized the unarmed one to be his First Officer! "Lance!" "Jonathan? Jonathan! You're here!" Lance was relieved about that. "Nice shooting, sir!" Said a Marine. "Thanks... Um... I'm 'fraid I don't know your name." Jonathan said, friendly like. "Private Second Class, John Obuto." The Marine announced. "Admiral, Fourth Class, Jonathan Starblade." Responded the officer. A radio clicked on, and another voice appeared. "This is Fire Team Zulu, 11th Battalion! Enemy Hunters and Elites on the scene! All UNSC Marines in area report to coordinates 170-niner, mark 271! Repeat, ALL Marines to 1709, mark 271! What the!? AGGGHHHHH!!!!" The voice was replaced by an Elite spreading propaganda. "This is Commander Jauq-De Kalhal of the First Covenant Raider Battalion to all humans. You have lost the battle, and the war! Fear us, the wrath of the Gods! Stop struggling, and give up! If you do, I can promise a speedy demise." The voice was replaced by laughter, ghastly laughter. Jonathan dropped the Radio, and put a bullet through it. "Let's go, people. That Area is two blocks west of here. But first, everyone who hasn't, grab a weapon from the dead Covies." He walked over to an Elite, and picked up his Plasma Sword. Jonathan turned it on. He whisked the Plasma Blade through the air. Then Again. And Again. Finally, he put it away, favoring a Needler from the other Elite. Lance picked up a Plasma Pistol, and two Grenades. The other Marines already did. They began their march. "Looks bad," Jonathan remarked, as they walked through war-torn streets of a once proud city. Along the way, they picked up a few surviving Marines from the battles. They also encountered random Covenant troops along the way. "Two blocks," Remarked Jonathan. He still could not believe the Enemy was at the gates, and winning! "One Block," He remarked, a minute later, as they passed a damaged Movie Theater. "Look!" said a Marine. He pointed to a Worthog, with two Marines in it. "Hey! You Marines! Over here!" Jonathan shouted. No answer came. The group, which had swelled to twenty strong, approached. "They're dead!" A panicking Marine said. "Keep calm," The Admiral responded. "Look!" Several Warthogs where parked around. "Our forces forgot some toys..." In five minutes, the group was now mechanized. "Let's ride!" Jonathan said, gunning it down the road. The other vehicles followed. "Thirty meters ahead," He said over the radio. They got closer. "Twenty..." And closer... "Ten Meters. Let's unsaddle, peoples!" The Worthogs stopped, and the party proceeded on foot. "Five..." They entered a big park, (that was)the scene of battle. The sight that greeted them was so horrible, three of them dropped to their knees and cried, and the others bowed their heads...

Covenant Invasion! Part Four

Note To Readers: Hello! This will have a nice twist, for those of you who are following along... ;)
Location: Great Lakes Plaza, Chicago, USA, North America, Earth, Sol System, Alpha Quadrant Time: 2551
The entire Plaza had bodies, Human bodies. Only half were UNSC Personnel, the others were clad to suggest they were in the wrong place, wrong time. Several Worthogs and a Scorpion Tank were on the scene, too. Most were upturned, but a Worthog and the Scorpion were right side up, but on fire. The smell of dead bodies hung horribly strong in the air. Jonathan almost gagged, it was so foul. A single sleeping Hunter was on a crate that was not blown up, or flaming. Jonathan had rage like no other. Those b*****s would pay for the massacre! He grabbed His Plasma Sword, switched the deadly blade on, and charged, yelling his head off. The Hunter awoke, with quite a start indeed. He looked for his Fuel Rod Gun, but he must have lost it in the... the Hunter chuckled, battle. It wasn't a battle. The infidels barely resisted. Ha! He found a Plasma Sword on the ground. Thinking of bloody intentions, he took the sword. He had gotten down from the crate, and activated the Plasma Blade. "I kill!" The Covie yelled, as he charged. Two Marines opened fire with several rounds from their ARs, until Lance said, "Stop! Those aren't gona penetrate his defenses!" The Marines ceased firing. "I'm gona cut you up like a Turkey at Thanksgiving!" Jonathan yelled, as he put his Blade in a position to swipe an uppercut. "Bring it on!" Said the alien, still trying out the English Language. He assumed a Defensive Stance. The Blades made contact, sending sparks into the air. Jonathan quickly swung a horizontal swipe. The Hunter countered, nanoseconds before Jonathan's Blade hit. More Sparks flew. "You better than I expected," Jonathan noted aloud. "Ha! You have seen nothing, vile infidel!" The Hunter responded, and began a series of powerful swings at the Admiral. Jonathan jumped out of the way. "Ha! You can have your toy back, you twit!" Jonathan taunted. He drove his blade into the Hunter's Belly, then whipped around and Swiped off the Covie's head. Orange blood sprayed out and hit Jonathan. "Ick," He remarked. The decapitated Hunter fell, dropping to it's knees, dead. Jonathan turned off his Plasma Sword, and holstered the weapon. "Yah! Go, Sir!" A Sergeant said. Jonathan smiled, then became serious. "They have not began to pay," He said, in a solemn tone. Suddenly, a dead Covie caught his eye. Hmmmmm....... You would think there would be dead Covenant too, but that one, and the other, he added with a quick smirk, then returned to thought. Are the only dead ones... "Oh, My..." Jonathan said, aloud. A Marine heard. "Sir," He said, "What's wrong? That **** is dead..." He then saw the reason for Jonathan's discontent. A Jackal was lying dead, with Plasma scorches on several places. "Plasma was Covenant! No other Marine used a Plasma weapon before..." He was talking aloud again. "Wait! The Master Chief, the only Spartan III Soldier that made it, turned in a report on his mission that went awry on a Ring-World known as Halo... in it, he mentioned, several times, a parasitic life-form he called the 'Flood.' It said they took over most of the Marines and some Covies on the Planet, after released. They harnessed the Race's weapons for use against their creators... but, how could they get to Earth? Last seen, they was hundreds of Light years away..." The Admiral was startled. "How did you know that!? That report was Classified, Level 12! Only me and several other high-ranking officers saw that report!" The Marine grinned slightly as he spoke. "Why sir, I delivered that report." Suddenly, a Grunt was seen, and what came from his mouth was the strangest thing ever said in the Great War: "Don't shoot! We come in peace!" The Admiral drew his pistol, which he got from a dead Marine. "Can you understand me?" The Grunt said, it's arms raised above it's head. "Indeed. Peace!? Why!?" The Admiral responded. "It's a long story, If you'll hear it." "Stand down, Marines." The Admiral began to ponder. "But, sir..." A Marine said, "We don't know if it's the truth... many Covenant lies have been seeped from the Ashes of Colony Worlds, Cities, and Even..." There was a long pause, then he Glared at the Grunt, "Earth Battles." "Please, hear us out," The Grunt said, in a squeaky voice. "Ok, We might have peace."

Covenant Invasion! Part Five
Date: 21 June 2003, 8:33 PM
Note to Readers: The communicator beeps, you press a button, and Hunter_Killer's face appears on the screen. "Hi! The Invasion again! The location has changed, as this is ten minutes after the ENCOUNTER with a friendly Grunt. Hope you like it! Hunter_Killer, signin' off." The communicator beeps again, and the screen changes to a bunker, Covenant Bunker, with the Party and Grunts around a table, discussing stuff...
Location: Grunt Liberty Movement HQ Bunker, Chicago, USA, North America, Earth, Sol System, Alpha Quadrant Time: 2551
Jonathan ceases chatter with the three Marines he had been consulting. The opinion, generally, was that they might as well try an Alliance, because most felt they could escape, or fight, if necessary. Jonathan walked over to the Grunts talking. "On behalf of the Human Race, I, Admiral Jonathan Starblade, submit that the Human Race accepts your terms of peace," He said, importantly. "And I, Field Marshal Ki se' Delock , on behalf of all Free Grunts in the universe, announce that we are ready to accept your terms, Human Jonathan," Was the reply. "Excellent. All UNSC Forces have received orders to regard your troops as friendly. Judging by the looks of the Free Grunts, they should be Blue, with a Yellow stripe, on their backs." "We have an easier method of I.D: Human Battle Armor is gray, or white. All Grunts have orders to regard your forces as allies." "Shall we?" The people and Grunts exited the room. Suddenly, a voice comes on radio. It was Grunt... "This is Gelal Vanco to Marshal Ki se' Delock. 17 of my Men are under attack by Hunters! HELP! What the!? AGGHHHH!!" "Crap! Anyone got a Sniper Rifle?" The aliens looked questioningly at Jonathan. A Marine stepped forward. "Sir! Petty Officer, Fourth Class Williams! Here, use mine." He tossed the weapon at Jonathan. Jonathan grunted as he caught it, it was heavier than he expected. He quickly got it under control. The party was now outside. "Pelican Echo 197, come in 197." Jonathan said in the radio. After several moments, a reply came through. "Echo 197 here, how can I help?" "Need pick-up at..." Jonathan checked his PDA(Personal Data Analyzer, in his Battle Helmet), "129, mark 731. Bring..." He looked over the compliment. "Five other dropships along." "Copy, Sir. ETA..." There was a pause, "Three Muinites. Echo 197, out." The communicator clicked. Jonathan put it away. "ETA, Three Min." He said, and individuals began to do various things. Jonathan was practicing with his Plasma Sword, when he heard something. His PDA reported movement, enemy movement. Lots, And lots. It came from all sides. He suddenly saw five Jackals. Shit, he thought. He aimed, and took down a Jackal with a Sniper Bullet. Then, he took his Trusty Assault Rifle, and emptied the clip. Two Jackals dropped, dead. Plasma shots from the two remaining Covenant made him duck. "Crap, Hostiles, Jackals!" He yelled. "We know," Was the response from Lance. "How the!?" He crawled several meters, and saw what really made him jump. Hundreds of Jackals were engaging the Marines and the Friendly Grunts stood still. The Jackals were yelling orders to the Grunts, still thinking they were on the side of them. The Grunts ran to the sides of the Jackals, and surprised the Covenant. Plasma and Magenta Needles flew into the ranks of Jackals, killing some. The Jackals returned fire, and the battle was on for sure! The Jackals ran up to Jonathan, and one shoot him in the chest. Jonathan let out a grunt, and fell to his knees. Several Marines fired Shotguns and Assault Rifles at the Covenant, felling them. One Marine ran up to the wounded person, took him, and laid him down. A dropship hovered overhead, then five more came up. The Tail Guns mopped up the last Covenant, and they landed. The surviving people and Grunts filled in. Jonathan was pulled in by four Marines into a Pelican. All the conciseness left Jonathan, leaving a black and swirling void in his mind, as the Pelicans flew off to a field hospital. Jonathan awoke at a UNSC Military Hospital. "Ah, Admiral. You're awake. Excellent." A Doctor said. "Um... where am I?" The Admiral said, confused. "UNSC Hospital Seven, Sir." Came the reply. "Oh... my stomach..." He clutched his chest, in agony. "Indeed. That Plasma Shot came very, very close to... eliminating your esophagus. But, It did not. You should be thankful." The doctor performed a Medical Scan. "Indeed. I'm afraid you must stay here a wile." "How long is 'a wile'?" "Ten Years." "TEN YEARS! Aw... I'll never get out..." In fact, the Admiral would be there for Fifteen.

Covenant Invasion! Part Six
Date: 23 June 2003, 11:57 PM
Note to Readers: Hello! I've redone the specs for the Iowa Class Ships, but just be warned! Enjoy! =)
Location: Florence Avenue, St. Louis, USA, North America, Earth, Sol System, Alpha Quadrant Time: 2551
"Crap!" Yelled a Marine, as a Magenta Needle Storm missed him by 6 inches. He began to fire his Shotgun at the offending Elite. "I'll return the favor!" The Elite's shields began to break under the Shotgun Shells. Then, the Marine was struck full in the face by needler fire, and dropped, dead, on the ground. Another Marine met the same fate. But, when the Golden Armored Elite engaged Commander Lance McDouglas, he met a grenade, before he was a splat on the concrete. "Yah!" Lance was saying. Then, a charged burst flew past, inches from his nose. Lance, startled VERY badly, looked for the source. He found a Hunter, with smoking Fuel Rod Cannon, and decided that was the source. "Screw you, ****!" Lance yelled, as he ran forward, Combat Knife in one hand, MD6 Pistol in the other. He would use these to get at the Hunter's back, and kill him. The Hunter had other plans. He shot the Fuel Rod Gun again, but Lance was too quick. He had to let the weapon recharge, but had better things to do than play with puny Humans! The thought of them filled the Hunter with rage. Lan jumped over the Hunter, and shot the Hunter in the orange flesh once. The Hunter wheeled, and shot with his cannon. He hit an Orange Grunt, who was sneaking up on the Human, but didn't care then. I want revenge! How dare he attack me, A member of the Covenant! And a Hunter at that! He must Die, Was filling the Covie's thoughts. The other shot sent a piece of concrete to the nearest plaza. The gun began to recharge, but Lance had stuck the knife in the Hunter's back. With a scream, the Covie fell, dead. Lance breathed a sigh of relief. Suddenly, he heard a noise, a humming, perhaps... He turned, and was staring at a Banshee, with a Jackal at the helm. A Plasma cannon began to let loose bolts of the deadly energy, and Lance ducked behind a Banshee, empty and landed. Of course, it was on fire, and one wing was missing already. He looked down, for he had dropped his pistol, and saw a Rocket Launcher. The last thing the Jackal saw was a Rocket hurtling towards him. The Banshee erupted in an explosion, killing two Red Grunts in the area. "Well, that was an adventure and a half, today was!" Lance said to himself. He had been in 12 battles, on different locations on the Earth, all victories. They were that close to winning on number thirteen... An explosion and several shouts from victorious Marines told him it was over. Three Pelicans decended to meet the victors. Lance was the first one in the first Dropship. Once they were loaded up, the Pelicans began to go into the atmosphere. Lance was puzzled. "Lt., why are we going into space?" He asked the pilot Lance saw his answer out the window. Several Covenant ships were in combat with the Iowa Class Earth Ships. The Lone Wolf was hit by several Missiles, the Intrepid was retreating, and the Freedom was not there. Lance looked around, and noticed that the Marines on the ship with him, had the ID patches of the Wolf Marines. The Pelicans flew into Hanger 4, and the pilot said, "Ok, Boys. Welcome home."
Location: Ohio, USA, Earth, Sol System, Alpha Quadrant
Rico was extremely terrified, mostly because of the Hunters. Thirty Marines were hiding from ten Hunters, in a game of hide-and-seek. He had been hiding in the museum for about an hour, along with two other squadmates, Check and Fry. They were playing Poker with a deck of cards taken from a Grunt, and Rico just won $50, when two Hunters busted in. Rico ducked behind a booth, and his two squadmates split up. The footsteps were nearing... Rico clutched his Assault Rifle... the Hunter was three feet away... Rico shut his eyes, waiting for the hum of a Fuel Rod Cannon charging, and the pain of searing Plasma... death... The Hunter paused. Check had run out, and was shooting at the Hunter with his Assault Rifle! The Hunter charged, lifted Check up, and threw him across the room, snapping his neck. Rico had just enough time to find a spot under a seat in the 21st Century Exhibit, before the Hunter ran around to Rico's hiding spot, but found no Human! Rico was safe, or so he thought. The other Hunter flanked him. Rico heard the gun charging, and said a silent prayer. The end had come! The last thing Private Rico heard was the shot of a Fuel Rod Cannon.

Lance ran up to the Bridge, to Helm Control. A Lieutenant greeted him. "Welcome, Captain."

Covenant Invasion! Part Seven
Date: 2 July 2003, 9:53 PM
Location: Bridge, Section Alpha, Deck One, UNSC Iowa Class Battlecruiser Lone Wolf, Around Earth, High Orbit Time: 2551
Because the Admiral was injured, and on Earth, Lance was temporarily promoted to Captain of the ship. Several Explosions had already rocked the ship, but the Longbow Missile Pods, and MAC Gun Number Two, were still at the ready. "Fire!" Lance said. A MAC Round and several Longbows shot off at a Cruiser to the left of the ship. Although he didn't know why, a MAC round seemed almost beautiful, and blended in with it's color with the jet stream of the Longbows. The longbows impacted with the Cruiser's Shields, then the MAC Round. The shields began to fade. "Report!" Lance said to the Science Officer. "Scanners indicate they're losing shields," The Officer Replied. "Excellent. Helm, move us into Broadside position," The 'Captain' ordered. "Aye, aye sir!" The ship began to move, the main engines coming to life. But, the Covenant Cruiser-and several others-were returning fire. Several Plasma Missiles and a Burst from a ship's Fuel Rod Cannon hit the ship, rumbling it. Yet, the Wolf held together, and Several Longbows went out as it got into position. "Sir, we're in position." "Give them a broadside with 50 Longbows." "Yes, sir!" The missiles hit within seconds, knocking into the shields, and the shields promptly disappeared. "Initiate Plan E," Lance said. Plan E was to board and take a Covenant ship, so they could find the Covenant homeworlds, and so they could study it, learn, and use Plasma Technology. Plasma would mean faster ships, faster computers, and far better weapons. It would also bring about the secret of the Plasma Shields that Covenant use on their ships. And, it would do many other things.

"Attention, All Marines. Plan E is in effect, Repeat, Plan E is in effect. Move to your designated Pelican immediately! This is not a drill, repeat, THIS IS NOT A DRILL. McDouglas out," The loudspeakers boomed. "You heard the man, move like 'ya got a purpose!" The Sergeant yelled, as the Marines, including himself, were entering the Dropships. There were seven thanks to those refits, so now all the Marines on ship can be transferred at one. The Sarge entered the third one. "Welcome to UNSC Dropship airways," the pilot said, "Please keep your seats and traytables in their proper and upright position, at all times." The Pelicans lifted off, and proceeded towards the Cruiser. However, about 30 Banshees had other plans. The Tail Gunners had three bogies per gun, and they were all moving. Their Tail Gunner was cussing, as tracers passed one of the Banshees. Several Bolts of Plasma hit the Cabin, and most of the Marines died. The Warthog fell out into infinite space, the winch was hit by a bolt too. "****!" The Sarge said, realizing that he was the only Marine alive in the cabin. He ran to the LAAG Tail Gun, and began to shoot. He was having better luck; a Banshee was no more, and another was hit. He looked over, to see about the other Pelicans. They all seemed fine. "This is Fire Team Gamma to All Fire Teams, our dropship's been hit! We're goin' down on the wrong part of the ship! We must meet at the Bridge! We-" The dropship approached the ship. "We're going in!" The pilot said. "Ok..." Said Sarge. The dropship landed with a plunk, and Sarge jumped out. He turned on Magno-Boots, and walked for two Muinites, finally finding a hatch. He took a FRAG Grenade, then he took two more FRAGs, and hurled them on the hatch. BOOM!!!! The hatch was blown to bits, some metal clinging to the ship, other bits began to slowly float. Atmosphere hurtled out of the ship, along with five Grunts and an Elite. Satisfied, he jumped in the ship. The atmoshpere had been contained, forcefields covered the hole. He looked around. There was one door, several crates that had not been blown away(he took a Plasma Pistol, a Plasma Rifle, a Needler, and three Plasma Grenades). He opened the door. There were four Grunts in the room, but a FRAG made them splats on the floor. He advanced slowly. Suddenly, he saw a shimmer. Taking a Plasma Grenade, he threw. A Golden Armored Elite, with a Plasma Sword, who had deactivated his Cloak, caught it. It exploded, killing 'Goldielocks', as Marines referred to the feared Golden Armored Elites, who had killed many-a Marine with a cloak active. He entered the next room, a big one. 20 Grunts, 10 Jackals, 5 Elites, and 2 Hunters saw him. Magenta Needles and Plasma Bolts hurtled towards the lone Marine. With needles following, he dove behind a crate. Seeing the needles still coming, he took a part of the crate off with his Bowie Knife, and used it like a shield. The needles popped on the side, sending shrapnel in the other direction. Sarge let out a sigh of relief. Then, he saw several covenant weapons that had fallen from the crate, and commenced circle-strafing, also showering the Covenant with Plasma. After his third Plasma Pistol was used up, only the Hunters were left. One charged at Sarge, swinging it's shield. He sidestepped this assault, and shot the Hunter three times in the back with his Plasma Rifle. Orange blood spewed out, as the Covenant warrior, once so proud, fell to the floor, dead. The other Hunter was almost Spastic with rage as he charged the Marine. Sarge jumped behind the Hunter, and filled the Covenant's orange flesh on the back of Mr. Hunter with a clip's worth of needler needles. Shrapnel hurtled forth, as did more orange blood. With a final cry of pain, the last Covenant in the room was dead. He want forth, coming on one end of a balcony, overlooking the Hanger of the Covenant Cruiser Hunter. The Sarge did not see him, but the Golden Armored Elite Savvah 'Nossalee was right behind him, ready to strike with the deadly Plasma Sword...
