102nd Recon Division: Part 1: The Last Enemy
By: Team Halo( DF AND ENS)

(this fanfic is in different parts. Each author has their own part. This is our advent writer DF-Christie's, of Clan Demonic Fighters, part. Enjoy)

The sergeant closes his right eye, his left looking into a scope. The butt of the sniper rifle was stuck into his shoulder. He was perfectly hidden, not even a Heat Scan could pick him up. The Covenant High Marshall, a Elite wearing gold armor, stepped out of his tent. The sergeant slowly breathed in and out, then squeezed the trigger. Time seemed to stop for the sergeant as he saw his bullet go forward.
Bang. That was all that was heard as the Gold Elite felled to the ground, bleeding badly. The sergeant smiled, realizing that he could get one more shot off before he would be found. His spotter saw an incoming Banshee. "Hurry." the spotter whispered to the sergeant. The sergeant took aim again, this time aiming for the elite's head. He breathed slowly, in and out. He squeezed the trigger again.
Bang. The elite stopped trying to move. He seemed to drowned in his own blood. "Mission Accomplished." said the sergeant. He and the spotter started to crawl away. The Banshee couldn't see them. "Thank god for small favors, Sergeant." said the young private. "Come on. Let's get out of here." the sergeant said. They got up, and walked away from the area. The area around them was a thick jungle, there was no way that a Banshee or a Pelican could pick them up. "Sarge?" asked the young marine. "Yes, private?" the sergeant replied. "You think we're going to win this war?" he asked. The sergeant though for a second, then said "I don't think. I just fight.".

(Here is Forum Regular Gallagher' part)
(As you can see, he sucks at writing)

"Okay Marines. Settle down." yelled the Commanding officer. The marines were rowdy after hearing about the Destruction of Halo.
"Lets kick some Covie ass!" yelled a young private. The marines started to yell. The CO smiled at the attempt to raise the sprits. It raised his, at least. He looked at the room, marines talking about the Covies. He knew that they would win the war with these marines.
"Here's the lowdown, gentlemen. We were selected for this mission because we are the best of the best. It's best to tell your families that you might not be back for vacation or Christmas, gentlemen." said the CO. The Marines had a confused look upon them. The sergeant, marked as Sergeant Tex Williams, knew of the mission.
"Tex, they're all your's." said the CO as he walked out. Tex looked at his troops.
"Men of Company C, you have been chosen to lead a attack on the Covenant Homeworld tomorrow. Good luck." said the sergeant. He walked out, surprised to see the marines yelling and screaming stuff like "We're gonna take the Covies' homeworld and shove it up their asses!" type talk.

(Here is our best writer probably, DF-Pliskin)

Pvt. Colin Smith sat in the Pelican, worrying about the battle ahead. He looked around the Pelican, looking into the eyes of all of his company. He looked at Lieutenant Immerson's eyes.
"Sir?" he asked, a little worried if the Lieutenant wouldn't answer in his sleep. Immersion woke up, looking around.
"We there yet?" he asked. The private nodded no. The lieutenant looked around. Then he fixed his eyes on the private.
"What is it soldier?" the lieutenant asked, he leaning on his seat, waiting for the attack to begin. The rest of the marines getting ready for the offensive. Sergeant Williams was simply sleeping, not taking to care the plasma explosions and the anti-air guns firing at them.
"Well, I wanted to know. What happens if we fail on this offensive?" the young private asked. The sergeant heard the private and woke up.
"We'll probably all die and the Covenant will wipe us all out like fleas." the sergeant said, scaring the shit out of the young private. He then fell back asleep.
"1 minute till we reach the LZ" the co-pilot yelled into the Comsat. The marines got ready, preparing to do anything for their race. The sergeant got up.
"Okay. You all know your purpose in this battle. I hope all of you make it back to your family and friends. Good luck, and remember. Take no prisoners, be no prisoner. Take positions." said Tex in his Texan accent. The marines lined up, their parachutes ready. The lieutenant got up and lined up next to the sergeant.
"Good speech sergeant. Now everyone, here's the battle plan. We are going to take that small town, then move up to the major Covenant city up north. Then we move onto the capital. I wish you all good luck." Lt. Immerson said to the marines. The marines were faced-painted with forest camouflage, since the cities were in heavily forested areas.
"FIVE SECONDS!!!" yelled the co-pilot. The pilot was flying as low as he could. Plasma rifle fire came into the cockpit and killed the pilot.
"Oh shit!" yelled the co-pilot. He fumbled around, trying to click the light switch on. The radio operator yelled into the Comsat. "Go go go!" he yelled. The co-pilot finally clicked on the light switch to green.
"Okay marines. Jump!" yelled the Sergeant.

(Here is ENS Rabid X)

The sergeant landed with a thump. He rolled onto the ground. "Text-book landing." joked the Sergeant as he got up. He looked around. Plasma fire filled the sky as the marines landed. He armed his MAB7 Battle Rifle. He quickly took off his reserve chute. He looked over at the mountain range ahead. "It's gonna be a long, long war......" he said to himself. He saw the Pelican empty its cargo. Then it seemed to spun out of control and hit a crowd of Covenant.
"Holy......" the sergeant said, thinking a quick prayer for the men on that Pelican. He saw other Pelicans fly around, dropping other men and supplies off. He looked up and saw explosions far away. "Good luck, you fly boys." Tex Williams said to himself.

The naval battle above the Covenant Homeworld was a much different story for the UNSC. It was a massacre for the Covenant. Only two ships were present at the time. Two carriers and 3 cruisers was all the Covenant had. The UNSC had 4 Battleships, two cruisers, 6 Destroyers, and an Carrier. The UNSC Juggernaut was the flagship, commanded by Admiral Howells. He was a lambent commander, all of his men respected him like God. He was popular as Keyes was.
"The carrier is launching fighters, sir!" yelled a crew man. The adrimal though for a second, then said.
"Turn to the port side and arm the cannons. Then aim it at the satellite's reflector beams. Arm the MACs for a 5 second detonation." he said. The crew looked confused. "Just do it, son." he said. The crew man immediately snapped "Yes sir!".

The ship turned to its port side, then armed its gun. The reflector beams were in position. The Battleship fired, the 4 MAC guns fired in unison. Since the satellite's reflector beams were made of Tramiaium Grade A, the bullets bounced off the reflectors. The bullets exploded in the middle of the fighter Squadron, destroying most of the fighter threat.
"Good thinking, sir!" yelled the crewmen. The adrimal nodded, knowing there was more to be fought.

(Here's ENS Rabid Matt to tie up the story)

The Covenant were completely surprise by the human's attack. They didn't know what to do, since this attack was not even suspected by the higher Priests of the Covenant. They sped up production of Saran Gas, a deadly gas that killed Brain cells faster than a bullet to the heart kills a man. If only the humans knew........

(We are tired of writing, that's why this part is kinda fast and plus, that's why some of us aren't writing good today)

102nd Recon Division: The Covenant Homeworld: Part 2

(DF-Christie's part)

The sergeant kept on walking, still deep behind enemy lines, the attack already happening. "You think the 102nd is doing their job, sir?" asked the spotter. The sergeant looked around. "Because of the noise around us, and the naval battle above us, I would say yes." the Sergeant said back to the spotter. The spotter looked at the sergeant.
"Sir?" she asked, this time looking into the sergeant's eyes. "Yes, corporal?" he asked.
"Well....when we'll reach the capital?" she asked. The sergeant though for a second, realizing that question wasn't her real question. "Probably in the next day."

(Gallagher {The writer that sucks ass}'s part)

Tex started to run a little faster, his determination to reach the crash site. He finally got there, the site surrounded by Covenant Shock Troopers. He cleared a path right through them as he ran to the crash site. MA57 fire ran out through the night. Covenant fell dead around the crash site as Tex ran to the Pelican. He ran inside as the guards gave him cover. A few were dead in their seats, looking like they wanted more than how they died. One of them was the young Pvt. Colin Smith. "Lieutenant!?" he yelled. Immerson was impaled in the leg by a metal pole. "Hey, sergeant!" he yelled, smiling. The sergeant ran over to the lieutenant.
"No offensive, sir. But you look like shit." he said, half laughing. The lieutenant smiled at the sergeant's attempt at humor.
"You look like shit yourself, Tex." he replied, laughing. The sergeant laughed too. Fire ran out in the Covenant Night. The sergeant patted the lieutenant's shoulder, then walked in the cockpit.
"Alpha-Bravo 7, this is Charlie 5, can you help us?" said the radio. The radio operator, Pfc. Charlie Reynolds, answered the call. "That's a negiv...." he was saying until the sergeant took the Comsat away.
"This is Sergeant Tex Williams, I'm coming there now." he said. He walked out of the cockpit, opening the bay door.
"I need volunteers. Constance, Ashton, Keener, Roy Dean. Come with me." he ordered. The marines followed their orders.
"We're candidates for the military voluntary system...again...." said Roy Dean. They ran outside, opening fire onto the Covenant. They ran into the forest, hiding from the Covenant.

(Here's DF-Pliskin's part)

Major Eversmann sat on a chair, ignoring the plasma fire.
"This plan has gone to hell." said the young major. His young aide, Lieutenant Harry Walters, A.K.A. "Shade". Shade simply stood there. The rest of the surviving crew, the radio operator, the co-pilot, and two marines, out of the 14 marines and 6 crew members, were all that was left. They waited for Sergeant Williams to come and rescue them.
"Major, Sir!" yelled a Lance Corporal. The Major got up and looked outside at the forest.
"Well I'll be damned....Open the door, then give them suppressing fire." the major ordered the marines.

Sergeant Williams ran in there, along with Constance, Roy Dean, and Keener. Ashton ran in after them. They stood there, covered in elite blood. They looked like they been through hell and back. The major couldn't think of any words to describe the men who saved their asses.
"Get all of the equipment we and you need. We just need to worry about the naval people to send reinforcements." Tex said.

The Lieutenant sat there. The medics successfully stopped the bleeding in his leg. He looked around.
"Jesus Christ." he said. The marines were planning their next move.
"When this clock reaches 12:30, im going to try to get away from here." they said. They were forming a battle plan. Just then, the bay doors opened, with Tex and the marines. They walked in, tired.
"Lieutenant, I'm Eversmann, it's good to see you, sir." he said to the Lieutenant. The lieutenant looked up.
"Its mighty fine to see you, sir!" he said. The lieutenant saluted the major. The major looked surprised.
"I should be saluting you, You saved my ass." he said.
"No. You should be saluting the sergeant over there. He went without even telling to save you." he said. The major looked stunned. He quickly turned around and saluted the sergeant. The sergeant saluted back.
"Okay, here's the plan."

(Here's (ENS) Rabid X's part)

Adrimal Howells sat in his command seat. He overlooked the battle, surprised to see the Covenant putting up a real fight. He ordered the Dropships to land around the 102nd's Landing Positions.
"Sir. Incoming Message from the Covenant Carrier." one of his radio operators said. The teleview screen came up, reveling a Gold Elite.
"I am Field Marshall Rume Haslajdwee of the Carrier 'Qel Ha'. I wish to surrender." he said. The adrimal didn't know what to do. He knew the Covenant didn't surrender. He wanted to take him in, but he knew ONI would want to dissect the elite.
"Stand by." he said. He walked over to the Transportation Officer on the bridge of the 'Juggernaut".
"I need you to try out the new beam system." he said. The transportation nodded, then pressed a few quick buttons. The elite was surrounded by light, then he appeared in front of the Adrimal.
"Just like Star Trek..." the adrimal said. The elite smiled at Adrimal Howells's joke.
"We used to pick that up on the radio waves." the elite said. The Adrimal laughed, along with the elite.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans and the Longsword Fighters headed for the planet's surface. The attack was about to begin.

(ENS's own Rabid Kenneth ties it up today)

The Covenant's Saran Gas was almost completed. The Covenant were waiting for the gas to be completed.

Captain Wilson and his team of elite commandos know as "Section VIII" were already on the planet. They were on the outskirts of the city. The crack team of snipers and marksman were heading to the Covenant Chemical Weapon's Plant. Their orders were to take out that Covenant plant. ONI knew about the Saran gas development. The orders of Section VIII were to talk it for samples.

The Covenant sent a division of men to the crashed Pelicans to take the humans hostages. They were going to put them in chambers and test the weapon's capability to kill. The humans won't have a chance.........
